A couple weeks ago, I got my hands on two AT-AT kits from Bandai. In an attempt to be original, I decided to use them in a battle of Hoth diorama.
Jokes aside though, Hoth has been on my to-do list for a long time and I've also had many requests for it. I finally got around it it and had a lot of fun!

Even though those cinematic shots already looked perfectly fine before, editing the wires out really brought a new vibe/experience to the project. It was almost as if we were viewing a real Battle of Hoth, only miniature! Already eagerly anticipating your next upload. A very clean and top quality project yet again!
Absolutely, you couldn’t even see the wires
Well, the "real" Battle of Hoth we saw on-screen was just miniatures! This is so cool!
Man, you always make masterpieces! You've inspired me to make a diarama myself, and it's been so much fun! Your passion is contagious!
Honestly it’s so cool how one person simply having fun making dioramas can inspire so many people to make really good looking fun to make dioramas
Well done btw :)
Really love how that turned out. Cant really tell the wires are there at all in those finished shots, the illusion is perfect.
Love the touch with the wires edited out. It does give an entirely different viewing experience. Love the vids man! Thank you! 🙌🏼
Absolutely incredible, and I loved the “cinematic” glamor shots at the end, but would love to get and up close of all the “important” details. I love learning all the little thing most people won’t know about a beautiful diorama. Keep doing you, love your works of art.
Always love a good Hoth diorama! The 3d printers really add a new dimension of flexibility to the scale model hobby, and as ever your lights boost everything to the next level. Have a great weekend!
Fantastic work mate. I didn't see a video from you last week and I imagined that you were building something big 😉. Finally it was worth the wait 👍👍
Scale is what out then again it cant be correct as the movies never get ti correct :)
AH YE PROPER BRI'ISH
i wanna get into stuff like this but it just seems so deep. the way you so simple state your process within your builds rlly inspires me to get into this hobby
Excellent build. And yes, I’m always interested in behind scenes and production…as it helps me think about how I do my videos and ponder ways to improve. Plus it’s just interesting. Thx for the continued inspiration
You are such an amazing model builder, even if I don’t like a certain genre you build in I watch the video and absolutely love it. I love all your Star Wars builds and I can’t wait for more amazing builds.
As a life long hard core fan that saw the original Star Wars film in theatres, bravo sir!!!!!! This stirred some unexpected feelings in me and I’m grateful. You’re a true artist!!!!! ❤
I just love to see how these dioramas are improving as time goes by. Good job on the diorama!! Always look forward to your vids
Amazing job as always!! Your attention to detail and story telling is so well thought out!! Truly inspiring!!!
With this level of skill... aren't you a member of the Star Wars art director team?
I can't help but press this thumbnail😳
I LOVE it, C! Man, all of your work is just tip-top. The little footprints, the big AT-AT footprints, the blaster marks, the wiring, LEDs, etc... So good! Thanks for the mention. : )
One of my favorite cinematic scenes in the SW universe. As always, this is a stunning work of art! Keep up the great content, BHT!
So good! The hidden wires in the edit was a nice touch!
I'm almost as mesmerized by all the various tools/gadgets as I am by the assembling. (I did have some phantom gum pains when you were using that dental tool. Those freaking things are torture devices!)
Once again, amazing! Thank you for giving me back my SW childhood for a few minutes. Heaven knows the current SW writers have destroyed enough of it.
I immediately noticed the wires edited out in the end and I think it sold the battle so much more for me. I've always noticed them there in the past, but knew it was unavoidable to have them seen. Really impressed with your edit on them too, super well done!
Absolutely Outstanding. This is my favorite scene you have ever done. I love the battle of Hoth and you captured it perfectly. Your are so talented. Keep up the great work
This is absolutely incredible, the amount of detail is crazy, I wish I could do stuff like this, great job
Good job on making this video. The way you did the camera at 1:32 really made me feel like I was one of the troops looking at the ATs
How awesome to picture this attack scene with the light effects used. I myself used the scene where Luke is hanging from the belly of an AT-AT after he crashes his snowspeeder.. very cool diorama ✨👍✨
Unbelievable. Beautiful craft. A pleasure to watch and see the end result.
I look forward to these!! Love your work so much.
Brilliant work as always! I must admit though, i'm intrigued by the urban and jungle concepts you mentioned. I'd love to see you do AT-ATs or AT-STs in that setting.
Just amazing! Such detail thank you for making.
another amazing piece the little snow troopers really add so much flair same with the trenches and the turrets ect
Love this diorama, wouldn't mind seeing more of these bigger diorama's in small scale.
It was such a cool touch to edit out the wires for the feature shots! Awesome work as always. Genuinly one of the best youtubers out there.
Watching your stuff is like therapy, love it! Can't wait to see what's next!
This is amazing as always!! Those are really good for such a small scale and I love the blaster bolts, they just blend it all together so well! Keep it up man these videos are very entertaining and helpful as well 👍
Didn’t realize how amazing a diorama could be till I started watching your videos you do an amazing job!
This made me remember the AT-ATs on Kashyyyk from fallen order, that would look sick as a diorama, specially when thinking of all the weathering on the AT-ATs which I think would give it a really detailed look
This is so dope ! I love frontline/battle at large scale diorama , great job !
i love that i’ve been able to watch not only your hobby skills, but also your editing and video production skills improve over time :) a new boylei hobby time video appearing in my feed is a good time :)
I always love your videos and creativity especially the use of the LED lights I can’t wait to try that on some of my future creations
Hiding the filament wires looked really convincing! Well done! definitely adds to the viewing experience, although I would keep one unedited shot of it as well to show the real thing. Just like you did! Great Video!
loved the amount off details - awesome work!!
This looks awesome 👍
I am a Combat Infantry Veteran of the Iraq/ Afghanistan war with two deployments. I saw the Empire Strikes Back in the theater in the Netherlands when It came out. Years later, I can honestly relate to the trench combat on Hoth. You should do an in-trench diorama of the combat the Rebels fought to show hoe fierce they were and gave their all.
What a masterpiece this is! And a 13 minute long extravaganza to boot!
WOW, what an amazing imagination you have, I have been blown away by everything I've seen you do please, please keep up the great work can't wait to see what you come up with next .
This is one of my favorite dioramas of yours so far, I love the Hoth battle, it's so iconic.
Tamiya panel liner is a godsend on these Bandai kits, if you’ve never used it treat yourself. You will love it!!!
I have been looking for a diorama like this for so long, THIS IS WHY I SUBSCRIBE TO YOU
I have been binging your videos since I found you last night. So amazing, just completely mesmerized at how creative your ideas and execution are.
It's absolutely gorgeous! I love it! The monochromatic palette makes it really interesting.
I'm neutral about hiding the filaments and rods in editing. It's nice to see it without, but I also like to know exactly what the piece looks like so yeah, no real opinion.
I’ve been waiting 😈
Love watching your Star Wars dioramas and I’m planning to make a tatooine one over the summer, could you try to make something tatooiny so that I can see how you do it?
I really like seeing both versions in the final shots, it’s cool to see it “as it would be” but also very cool to see the craft behind it!
So cool! I think i like seeing both the wires edited out at the end, but also some footage of seeing them in. Just cool to see it both ways
This is a wonderful diorama.
Can you tell me where to buy the led?
I think he gets them on Etsy from memory
looks amazing. id love to see more of the hard work that goes into the making
I followed all your projecs and they evolved from nice fun builds to masterpieces! Awesome work!
Love watching your creativity
Well done! Thoroughly enjoy watching your builds!
That’s definitely one of the best diorama’s I’ve ever seen!
The amount of detail is absolutely insane!
Amazing job dude 👏
Never really knew about Dioramas and what not before until I got recommended your channel. It’s very cool seeing these small landscapes and etc. I think it’d be really cool to see a medieval castle siege or battlefield.
Simply amazing! I’m a big fan of Star Wars myself so I love it when I see stuff like this. Keep it up lad!
Noticed that sublet twenty pilots nod in the beginning.
Favorite part of my night I unwind and watch you build keep up the good work
Wonderfully recreated the atmosphere of the battle of Hoth, and the planet itself. That explosion around the bay door looks so realistic, brilliant work!
great job. I love you Star Wars builds
love your vids its so relaxing to watch you build these perfect diorama's
Awesome diorama! The machines and troops looks so nice. Beautiful.
Not only do you always create wonderful dioramas, you’re just an overall talented person. And I for one enjoy the subtle humor in your videos 😌
Amazing as always. Your Star Wars ones are always my favorites and this one especially was really awesome. Great job man!
Amazing job you did. I think, diorama from Star Wars never gets old. Well done
Outstanding as usual! Always a pleasure watching your builds.
Mate...that is so effective.....love your eye for detail
I love this guys creativity
This is just next level. Always loved your star wars dioramas. I been a fan of you for a very long time.
When I was in my early teens, I used to build model airplanes from the old Revel model kits. I though I was hot stuff. What you are doing is light years ahead of anything I dreamed of. This looks like a scene from the film. Fantastic job!
Wow.
Just wow.
That was insanely good.
that is awesome! amazing and inspiring work
That is one of the most awesome dioramas I have seen put together... great job!
That's some other level stuff you made. Fantastic
Phenomenal!!!!! That's a thing of Beauty. GREAT JOB 👍
This is one of my favorites so far. I really like snow scenes. It's been many years since I watched Star Wars, but this looks very accurate. Well done buddy, I really enjoy your channel. I also like the bigger dioramas you build. Also a big fan for the old western stuff you do. Very creative and fun to watch. Looks like you also really enjoyed doing this one and put a lot into it. Would be cool if you made the other parts of the scenes and add then too this later. Maybe? Idk, it's all cool to me.
Outstanding video, presentation and build.
Absolutely love this build!
This was amazing. Love the hiding of the filaments.👍🏽
Great diorama keep up the work, love your vids
And may the force be with you always
You got me hooked with the Wild West Monster Hunters and now I'll watch any video you put out! You're very talented and I especially love the humor you put into your videos!
This is perfect, absolutely one of the best you’ve made so far
Your subtle comedy is what makes these videos golden. Your talent is just a byproduct 🤙🏼
Outstanding work, details, atmosphere... 👍👍😍😍
Man. This is just absolutely amazing. I hope you do a video teaching the best way to do miniature lighting. Always a fan👍😎
Because of you I made a small diorama of the Bandai at st model kit studk in the ground of Endor with nature taking it over with trees in the back ground. Because if you I have realized how much fun and I thank you for the masterpieces you’ve made. Thank you so much now I have 5 dioramas of an AT AT, a flying x wing, a crashed tie fighter, and and old imperial base
Craazy good! The scale and proportions are awesome!
Fantastic work! Your attention to detail is incredible, and I love it!
This is art showcases so much talent👏🏽
Absolutely incredible sir, well done
That's awesome. My favorite vehicle, characters, and scene all in one diorama.
I love your Star Wars stuff!!!
Amazing work! Love all the details!
This reminds me of some world war 2 dioramas I saw at a military museum as a kid. Probably around 1980.. It was of the Kokoda Trail jungle battle in Papua New Guinea. Similar scale. I was in awe and it inspired my interest in not only military history but small scale dioramas as well. My grandfather survived that battle. It must have been rough.
This is truly beautiful. I can only imagine the time this took.
WOW... nice shot!! Amazing job.
Cheers
