Barn Owl Stakes Nest Claim | Discover Wildlife | Robert E Fuller

- Shortly after this new barn owl was spotted courting a female in Ash Wood, he began scraping out a potential hollow for eggs in my Ash Tree nest box.
This is a sign that this male is keen to start nesting and could mean we have a new pair to watch this season. However, this could also mean trouble since Ash Tree is a favourite of the tawny owl pair Bonnie & Ozzy.... keep your eye on the livescreens to see what happens • Live From Ash Wood | R...

Stupid jackdaws.

🙌🦉🦉🤩😉🤗
Fantastic videos
hello new friend!
ATM is a speckled male which is a bit rare. He was so nervous meeting his mate and it's clear he is still pretty young. I look forward to seeing him prosper and raise lots of owlets.
BEAUTIFUL!❤🥰
Thank you for sharing Robert ....
This barn owl looks like Gyfie a lot. So cute! 🥰
This is the male too , He has more speckles than the female 😀
I really hope he stays even though those jackdaws keep pestering him! The new pair are sooooo adorable 😊
It doesn't get any cuter ❤
Beautiful bird, seems to be very intelligent
He has no ring🤔😊
👍👍👍
😊😊❤❤They are so adorable..I love how the 🪶 feathers on their heads look like "hair" around their face❤❤❤
Robert thank you for your stewardship of our friends feathered and otherwise at the beautiful place you get to call home. I would love to be able to visit someday if I'm ever able to make it across the pond
Owls are creatures that we must keep alive no matter the cost
aww what a cutie!!!
It looks sooo cute
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love the way he scratches like a chickens
Love watching your videos...
whenever i see a picture of a barn owl, they always got the beak pointing down
its interesting to see them eat or grab stuff, beak pointing straight....like are they always lowering their head, or can the beak angle move up and down?
Awesome, awesome, awesome
Orion's new mate perhaps?
Nope.. this one's a male (that is weirdly quite speckled for one). Orion's still single (keeps booting out potential mates 😅)
It’s so fun with this couple that the male is actually the one with speckles and the female is mostly clean other than her fading bib to tell them apart in the light.
❤❤❤
Awww😊
Haven't seen them for a while now.
Красивая сова
I am hoping that Robert would build more nest for bonnie and ozzy. It would be sad if they were decided to go to other places
Sir I know the stick was touching the edge of the nest but now its sticking out above! 😂😂 I hope your mate doesn't hit her head when she wakes up.😂😂
Well this barn owl may be thinking it's found its home sweet home but signs of jackdaw being there first might portend a battle in the offing....😢
I have a question that I would appreciate help with.
Towards the end of the clip, he is standing on only one leg and looks to be going to sleep.
Is it common for barn owls to stand on one leg as he is doing?
Thank you.
Would a female claim a nest only ?
