@@dylanchua5197 I think he was trying to say that bazelgeuse primarily uses gliding to fly around. A real life equivalent would be soaring birds like albatross' and eagles which have huge wingspans that allows them to maintain flight without flapping their wings. Usually the only times in which they flap is to get off the ground, gain height or hover. They might not even flap to gain height and instead use air currents. This saves a ton of energy especially for larger animals. The drawback is that you're much less maneuverable in the air so it's not suited if the animal lives in more dense areas. It is however quite well suited to mountainous areas as well as for crossing oceans.
Imagine If Capcom, in the next Monster Hunter game, doesn't give Bazelgeuse an appearance. But, in a future update of it, they sneak him in in one area, and then the next update they sneak him in into all the areas. would be amazing. maybe If that happened they would sneak him into a DLC
I'd like to think that Seething Bazelgeuse is just a Bazelgeuse that is going through it's mating season and thereby protecting it's young. This makes sense to me as to why it is no longer nomadic and is much more deadly.
Can you imagine what a baby B-52 must look like ❤ omg they would sound like little geese and set off small explosions at about the strength of a firecracker
I had another theory that the name was partially chosen because of "Beetlejuice", in that if you say his name 3 times he appears and bombs the crap out of you.
@@PureinBread Instead they replaced him with Savage Jho, which isn't bad per se, but it just have the same OOMPH Bazel does. That's why I consider Bazel THE invader monster.
I always thought Seething Bazelgeuse was an end result of Brachydios coming to the Elder's Recess. A highly blast resistant monster with its own lethal explosive slime like Brachydios (see cutscene with Uragaan another blast resistant monster) would give Bazelgeuse who's primary killing method is a bombing run, a good reason to mutate higher yield explosives. Thus also requires even higher resistance to explosions to protect itself from its own explosive scales as well as the slime mold. Also with how actively evasive Brachydios is would also explain why Bazelgeuse now actively scatters it's scales. Hard to evade something when it's almost the entire room. This is why I believe Seething Bazelgeuse never leaves the Elder's Recess. It's mutation is strictly meant for what now lives in the Elder's Recess. Between the Elder Dragons, the Picklejho and it's Savage form and now Brachydios. Side note: I used to think with the coloration of Bazelgeuse top scales and the way the new explosive scales act with growing and changing color that either. 1. It was a Bazelgeuse and Brachydios hybrid. Or 2. Bazelgeuse somehow absorbed some of the Brachydios slime mold and it mutated from there.
i doubt it. A bazel could always just fly away from a brachydios, and even something as blast resistant as brachydios wouldn't want to get caught in a field of normal scales. Besides, why would they want to fight eachother? they might compete but there's more food for bazelgeuse outside of the recess anyway so it can easily just soar over to any other locale for food if a brachydios is proving troublesome in the region.

I really hope for 2 things in all future Monster Hunter games A: Bazel joins Rajang and Deviljho in monster that are always in the game B: That he isn't going to be the master rank post-game in MH 6 T.T
I love this serie, awesome job you're doing there, tbh I'd love to have the MH serie do smthg similar like instead of just having to collect ecofacts and having the game tell us informations the moment we gather enough, WE are the one analyzing the monster ourselves, watching its moves to be able to see to what type he's weak to, and find weakpoints by our own observation and not the game's codes if you see what I mean Anyway ye keep it up with this amazing serie it's nuts
This is easily one of my favorite new monsters. His design and equipment you get is songod damn cool. Plus I've always been a sucker for weapons with blast dmg.
The idea of Seething Bazel's purple being a midway between a red giant star and a blue giant star was pretty neat. There's also an additional quirk about Seething Bazel - the volatility of its blast fluid is such that it can be made to backfire on the monster. By dealing enough damage to areas on Seething Bazel's body where the explosive scales grow (the abdomen and the tail), they will explode prematurely, dealing a substantial amount of damage to the monster and knocking it down, giving you an opportunity to wail on it. Also, I'm imagining a Bazelgeuse that glows blue-hot that would be even more powerful than Seething, either due to age or a mutation in the vein of the metal Raths. I'm thinking "Infernal Bazelgeuse" for a name, as the heat of its explosive scales would be comparable to hell itself. Perhaps - if it's a mutant - Infernal Bazelgeuse could even have trouble controlling the volatility and output of its blast fluid, which causes it to be in near-constant pain, making it become even more aggressive.
The Bazel glands seem like a good source of renewable energy. You can "milk" a bazel for fuel, and you can keep the scales in airtight containers for storage
There's a lot of talk of Bazel being a scavenger akin to a vulture, and it makes sense, given it can chase other animals off of kills from a distance by using its bombs.
Odogaron, Nargacuga or Tigrex gets my vote for the next Monster Hunter Lore video :D They're my favourite monsters... Maybe a video on the Palico species?
Off the top of my noggin, Stygian zinogre, fulgur Anjanath, or other variants would be cool to learn about. Maybe something like narga too, or other pseudowyverns and why they use their wings primarily as legs rather than to fly
my main theory on Seething Bazelgeuse is that due to the sudden influx of elder dragons and invasive monsters Master rank brought in, instead of it trying to take over other territories it thought it could take, it is now defending it's own from monsters who want to take it's home, showing what a cornered rat can do and go down with a big fight.
Seething with Rage is the Quest Name in which we first encounter Seething Bazel. That can be an Reason for the increase in hostility within its Home Region, the Recess. The more fights it got to could Support an Evolution in the Fluid produced by Bazel to gain better capabilities to Combat and Fight off other Monster and Hunter.
I honestly think that Bazelgeuse sometimes preys on Deviljho, when it can. Think about it, Bazelgeuse' combat style punishes aggression and monsters that AREN'T immune to Blast damage, and Deviljho is both one of the most aggressive monsters and not immune to blast damage.
