I recommend looking up the channel Oceaniz. I hope I'm spelling that right. Guy does great work and they're my favorite videos of this style about the creatures of Monster Hunter .

I also recommend searching up Glyde Borealis who makes national graphic style documentary videos about Monsters in World.
I would also recommend unnatural history channel, they make all kinds of videos on the ecology and biology of monster hunter, and also delve into similar topics of other franchises.
And the end of every episode should have a ???hunter casually approach the deadly monster

I’ve dedicated so much time to the monster hunter games over the years of my life and it is more than just a game you slap monsters with meat hammers, it’s a games of patience planing and teamwork mhw and mhwib are next level and I’m very glad you guys share how this game and the other ones are just amazing and full of lore

Kirin just got added into my "Do Not Hunt List", right next to Mizu and Yian Kut-Ku. Damn, I didn't knew how innocent this thing is

Yay, another lore video!
It's interesting to note that (as far as I know) Kirin is the only monster that is a direct reference, with an unchanged name ("Kirin" is the Japanese version of "Qilin"), to a mythological creature.
It's also baffling that our favourite pony isn't in MHRise despite the Asian setting and focus on riding.
Sunbreak maybe
Kirin is one of the monsters I hope to see on Sunbreak. Along with Lagiacrus, Nergigante, Lunastra, Great Jagras and a few more.
Hope we can meet Kirin in Sunbreak. His aesthetic and namesake fits Kamura.
Sadly, we didn't.
Unpopular opinion but i always loved and admired Kirin in every game,it's a crime that it didn't appear in Rise now that Chammy also returned. It fitted the Japanese theme perfectly. Hope it returns in SunBreak alongside the beautiful Oroshi Kirin. Fits the European medieval theme as well because it's a unicorn?

@@adamsrealm I know you're not the only one most of the community hates it, although nowhere near as Gypsorus and Plessy are hated. Which is why my opinion is unpopular haha.
But personally i think it has alot to it's character, basically a glass cannon elder dragon that focuses primarily on thunder for the offense. Also is the weakest of all elder dragons known. I would love to see it again just as i want to see Gypsorus and Plessy.

@@fabinagl7601 Haha yes prior to that Plessy was very *very* unenjoyable, not unless you knew how to , had a weapon that can block or pick a weapon that has less combo animation commitment. Plessy is quite agile on land for a monster that evolved filling a niche, spending most of his time underwater. I hated him the most and ran out of time many times fighting green dual plessioths, and for some gog damn reasons i farmed him alot, like ALOT! Until at last i could predict every move before he does it and it's still imprinted in my dna lol. Yes i was a pure GS main.

Love how Kirin is literally a horse shaped dragon, it’s covered in scales and has CLAWS instead of hooves and a not horse like face

I've been waiting for this
I just beat this guy for the first time in Worldborne. Having come from Rise, I was rather excited to see that elder dragons still scared off all of the smaller monsters. It was even better that an unnatural thunderstorm was brewing in the area, which didn't happen in the old gen games. They just improved the fight in subtle ways - making the horn much sturdier, making him limp when weak...

Rajang is still the most "Honey Badger" like monster in MH... He doesn't care if you could summon lightning out of thin air, or blow winds capable of ripping through thick steels... He will hunt you and make you squirm hahah
I’d love to see a lore video about Magnamalo, Ibushi & Narwa, Zinogre, and Chameleos.
Kirin is a personal favorite monster of mine, because it's a caster with melee capabilities in a game that's almost all about up close and personal fighting monsters.
It's also the first monster in MHW to make me triple cart and fail a quest, so it has my respect too.
Imagine being the hunter that ends up befriending a kirin.

I wonder if Capcom ran out of ideas for a monster like this. Cause if you ask me, Kirin looks more a My Little Pony antagonist than an Elder Dragon (and yes, I was once a Brony during the mid to late 2010s).
Yes, qilins apparently have a “dragon head” for a body part, but even then Kirin is nothing more than a lightning elemental unicorn…

I would love to see an evolved Kirin with high horn regenerative abilities becoming symbiotic with a rajang
I want to see other equine monster, like a Kelpie that uses water attacks, a Nightmare that uses fire, something rotten and horrifying based off of Celtic monster horses, and more.
People can say what they will about the male kirin armor for the low and high rank settings in the older games. But that G rank one from 4U and beyond as well as the high rank beta set were the bee's knees and my go to for Monster hunting fashion.
I bet you wont do the Gogmazios, I know not much lore but it is probably my favorite "siege" fight in all of MH series

Anyone notice that during the sponsor that the COD Black Ops 2 Zombies loading theme (When you load a level not the main menu) is playing in the background, I would be lying i say that It doesn't fit well.
60+hrs into the game. the first time i fought kirin was the first time i fainted and learned the hard way that elders cant be trapped. never had any monsters gave me a hard time before kirin. hammer main btw.
