The fact that i used to play with herm when this was started i still fascinating to me. I helped building here ALOT, like the giant gold farm that once was, pumpkin and melon farm, and even the small dupestash that was in there once upon a time... Damn, this really brings back memories man...

I even remember that if you were at the gold farms surrounding area, (The place after you exit the gold farm) if you were looking at the obsidian structure of the gold farm and then looked to your left, I built a small storage system. I have no clue whether it's still there or not, but such is the nature of 2b.
In a way, that's the one base on that server that can't be griefed. Any attempt to grief it would only add to it, and give the people who maintain it something to do, which is the whole point of the base.
As an outsider, this is extremely interesting to watch. I imagine people decades later going through old some minecraft servers and finding this like Indiana Jones, Lara croft or some other crazy archeologist and thinking about the origins of the ruins

The vast majority of the accounts online at any given time are the baritone bots of bored groups, working endlessly on their immeasurable task of filling in the entire server’s sky with the necessary 3.6 quadrillion obsidian. Spawn is as quiet as Chernobyl, the average player being millions of blocks away from their nearest neighbour. 2b2t’s history is slipping away now, being lost to time as fewer and fewer people care to document it. The countless stories people have lived will likely never be told, and it seems to many as though the final day of the server is drawing close. also it’s just updated to 1.13.
There is a way to make a base ungriefable - create a bot that can rebuild it for you automatically. Eventually people will get tired of trying to destroy same base over and over again. And you cannot grief a bot, because bot does not care.

This reminds me of the Arisen Faction run on the TMC Anarchy server. We built bases, but every time we were griefed, we rebuilt a bigger base somewhere else.
I think i get what this build is about It about adapting to the situation like the fact the base style change over time for everytime it got grief, the terrain got destroyed Or it just a random project hermeticlock did because it sound fun
