About those last 3 builders; I imagine something like this went through their heads:
"Yeah, it's an almost impossible task... but if we do it, just the three of us, We'll be LEGENDS!"
and they are legends now

That was the same motivation that lead a couple of friends and me to kill the dragon, then mine all the End Spikes, then rinse and repeat until we had all the End Gateways.

@@Red_Ryry if you had a bunch of people duping it’d speed up the process significantly wouldn’t it? But even then I don’t think you could convince them to place 50mil+. Realistically if there was no central shape to the build, the only goal being place obsidian everywhere at spawn, you could set baritone to do just that and it’d do it pretty effectively compared to a complicated shape
The unfathomable amount of work that went into this project solely by those 3 players is too much.

a way this could be broken is if they did it on 1.18 when i comes out as the world becomes deeper allowing for more obsidian to be placed
Oh man how is that gonna affect the world generation? Like will there be massive ‘cliffs’ underground where the old bedrock layer was and then the new layer of bedrock is below it one chunk over?
No, the chunks generated before 1.18 will have a solid block of bedrock bellow y=0.
The problem will be the new building limit, all the Gigant structures over spawn will become griefable with withers over night.
@@carlosdgutierrez6570 "chunks below y=0 in the update will be bedrock" oh boy you were wrong, if the servers ever updates to 1.18 (check fit's video of why 2b2t must update to survive) it will be an additional 64 blocks of deepslate (as we know it was finalized in 1.18), which means they must extend it over 134 blocks. Which means millions more obsidian to go

@@rr23623 AoT folks are german, and if not, they all have german names and german culture, ä is changed to ae in english, in german j is pronounced like y in english, in japanese the vowels are still normal("a" always sounds like "ah" for example) so a as in "name" is changed to ei, but ei in japanese is pronounced like a longer e(eh) with a bit of i(e in english), so the letters Jä(from german) in japanese would sound more like yea in english. Worth noting that in german the letters er are pronounced like ah and thus it passes to japanese as an a. So Jäger transcribed to japanese would sound like Yeaga(er) in english, so Jäger and Jaeger would be the rightful orthographies

I swear, 2b2t has broken more Minecraft records than any other server, anarchy or otherwise. You have entire tunnels in the Nether that go from 0,0 to the World Border in each cardinal direction, and in this case, tall walls of obsidian that encircle thousands of blocks that go from Bedrock to the height limit. This sever never ceases to fascinate me.
