It doesn't matter where it was made; it's still the same tooling and the same parts. That said, the gear knob on all BMWs is friction mounted. You simply stick it on and push down on it ... that isn't the first time someone has pulled one off. I've done it a few times myself.
I am sure thats true. I have owned a vette and many BMW's all of them M models, they are extremely well built, don't forget that the one in this video was one of the first off the production line. The vettes are ok, but they are not up to the same standard of build quality, and they certainly don't handle as well.
no doubt the gear stick broke...if im not wrong i think the Z4 is made in the Usa...don't get me wrong though....i luv american muscle cars!!its just that tey don'nt make the cars properly:(
