Hey Guys ! This Telegram Shit is NOT me but some scum scammers !!
Thanks!
They contacted me and the message told me that they had chosen me to give me a guitar...
Too good to be true...
Stay alert!! Scams usually increase at this time of year.
As an Aussie, good to see Parkway on here. Carrion is one of their best songs. 👍
We know. ABL gets the same thing on his channel. However, I was going to order a pallet of Ho-Ho's from your Nigerian website. LMAO!
What
Good evening and thanks for joining me for another guitar riffs battle.
Dude, you rock! 🙂
And thank you for your work…
Amazing, interesting stuff dude. Rock on!
Really enjoyed this video. Listening to both genres made me realize just how different these are when it comes to guitar style. I miss the nu metal days. I like the guitar much better.
The picks you made for the Metalcore songs were top tier! You included all the bands I hoped to be there. That was my soundtrack to my high school years. 🖤
I love pretty much all styles of Metal, and I could just see a riff off going just like this. Each guitarist respectfully headbanging while the other played, and even joining in. I mean, as a Metalhead, I feel like im part of one giant family and we all respect each other and our various tastes. Awesome video with some great song selections! 🤘
"respectfully headbanging" haha
I hate when people are saying " [insert genre] sucks" its all subjective taste and obviously if a band is successful, theyre doing something right!
@@tiredextremelyexcept when they're talking about trap/phonk, i would completly agree these genres suck and are for people with no brain
I don't think you've been around metalheads if you think they respect each other's tastes lol
It's mainly a house divided full of elitists from my experience.
@@b.entranceperium Oh ive been around plenty of Metalheads, and I'm easily one of the biggest Metalheads you will ever meet, (been a Metalhead for 30 years) and can tell you, we are definitely NOT divided. I have also noticed that even among the different kinds of Metal bands they mostly respect each other. Theres fans that WANT more rivalry, more division, more disrespect within the Metal community, but thats rare. There isnt much elitism, even in the Prog Metal scene, where they most tend to get arrogant about their abilities.
2000s metalcore is sooo good
I prefer old metalcore bands like KSE.
2010s metalcore sounds too feminine sometimes.
Are you a millennial?
@@misanthrope5063 yeah Killswitch would be my favorite overall band out of the bunch, but my favorite albums are Parkway Drive’s, Killing with a smile and Horizons.
@@6feetunderpants good guess lol just barely. Some would call that a Xennial lol
@@misanthrope5063 listen 90s metallic hardcore band
Awesome! Would love to see death metal vs. death core done like this. Thanks!
I've been waiting for that one
alright!!
Deathcore would get fucking obliterated
And also techdeath vs melodeath
@@cowboygeorge5056 maybe the guitar, but DeathCore drums are pretty fantastic. Most DeathCore drummers have no problem playing death.
I really like how this two guys polite to each other, and always wait their turn for playing
This is my generational music in a nutshell. You definitely hit all the main bands I love… thanks for this!
I can imagine the time you put into these videos. Your memory and performace of a vast range of genres keeps this 58 years-lived carbon-based plasmatic metal-head inspired and jamming. continued success and lots of dropped picks!
Thanks a lot Metal Brother!!
All That Remains and As I lay dying ❤
I really wanted to see this battle, it was so awesome to see Bullet for My Valentine, Linkin Park, Killswitch engage, as I Lay Dying, your videos are so cool 🤟🏻🖤
Bullet might be my all time favorite riffing bands. Their rhythm guitar is killer. As I lay dying and Killswitch are also incredible
@@CiviTac The natural evolution of a metalhead born in the 90's is that they got exposed to 'extreme' music through Nu-metal, evolved into Metalcore in middle/highschool, then grew to hate both as a young adult bc edgy, only to now, in 2023, damn near 2024, appreciate both genres for what they are. Is this what it means to be a metalhead in your 30's and beyond?. You have natural and neutral disposition to all flavors of hard rock/metal?
This was my adolescence in riffs wow. Took me back to being on the bus and going home and playing guitar. Simpler times man. Earned a new sub! Great shit man!!!
Thanks mate ! Welcome to the channel !!
As someone who grew up listening to Nu Metal as a Kid and then Metalcore as a Teenager, this video was so Awesome! 💯👍😁
I grew up listening to literally every single song in this video 😅 that was awesome!
Love the Darkest Hour inclusion. They deserve WAY more recognition considering their longevity and consistency.
I just find Darkest Hour boring as hell. They got a few good songs, but meh. Boring band. I think. Parkway Drive tho, those riffs are so good. Kllswitch engage too, really good stuff. Also been going for what like 20+ years
@Spinetap It's not just the riffs it's the rhytms and drums as well. It's just boring as hell. Travis Orbin is a too good of a drummer for that band.
Parkway Drive is much much better. Much much better. Their riffs are super catchy, always have been and great rhytm. Very good drummer and vocalist as well.
@Spinetapkilling with a smile is better than any crap you could ever produce or listen to….
huge fan of both, pwd has some incredibly boring shit as much as they have really awesome shit but their last couple albums are just actual trash like no one thinks that shits good@@LordOfSweden
@@LordOfSweden laters PWD albums are ass
I'm mostly into thrash metal. A lot of these metalcore riffs are pretty neat and have that galloping rhythm like thrash. Nu metal is... barely tolerable.
Yeah bro completely agree,I do respect trash but it’s just too old for me,if you like high speed ,then give a listen to next albums:
Count your blessings(2006)
Suicide Season(2008)
The poison(2005)
Scream aim fire(2008) the main song is thrash influenced
Ascendency(2005) this is the closest album to thrash
Apologies for the weak(2010)
Creatures(2010)
Got some bands I need to listen to again!!! Awesome video. Cheers
Love this, I knew all but two of these riffs by heart!
I won't ever Understand neither the hate and hype for These both Subgenres but I still love them
With Nu Metal, I think it's just cause the internet finds it edgy and cheesy or something. With Metalcore, I feel like it's just a bandwagon thing because of the more popular artists.
Hating on Nu Metal, Aggro-Metal, Alternative Metal, Metalcore, Post-Grunge in my opinion is the very definition of edgy and cheesy metalhead that has too much ego. I could understand the hate for Glam Metal or even very obscure and just weird subgenres like Pornogrind or Pornogoregrind
Congratulations!!
Great work.
Best regards from Chile.
Awesome battle! I grew up on both metal core and Nu metal, so I'm so glad you did this video
Go ahead bro
So damn great! Just created a playlist with all the albums you played the songs from! 👍
YES ! Another great video ! As always, you sound amazing 🤘🤘
Thanks buddy! Always learning Metal from you!
That was SICK!!! Great job!🤘
Great stuff on both sides!
Thanks for another riffs battle
I love it all. Made a playlist from your video 👌🤟
A lot of that stuff takes me back to early 2000's to see "this is why you love metal music!!".
Excelente selección de canciones. Felicidades!
For me the nu metal riffs are more varied and therefore get my vote. The others all sounded like they could have come from the same band: they're all good riffs though.
yeah that's why I hate that melodeath metalcore is the most popular style and what many people think all metalcore is...in reality there are all kinds of bands, from melodic metalcore like Misery Signals, to chaotic metalcore like Converge, to math metalcore like SikTh, to noisy metalcore like Norma Jean, to bluesy metalcore like Every Time I Die. It's such a cool, widely varied scene but only one style is commonly known to metalheads. this isn't even getting into deathcore which started out in the metalcore scene, from bands like Eighteen Visions, Black Dahlia Murder, With Dead Hands Rising, Embrace the End, Ion Dissonance, KillWhitneyDead, and The Red Chord.
Metalcore death core whatever
All sounds same to me
Not the biggest nu metal fan but I remember it from 99 early 00s when I was a young teen
@@retrorambles517 "all sounds the same to me" LOL sound like a hair metal fan who just discovered thrash and death 💀
That's why nu metal criticism of being "similar to each other" are soooo dumb bcs literally all other metal genres sound the same EXCEPT NÜ Metal,I dare y'all to find death, doom or black metal that sounds UNIQUE compared to the other contemporaries???

All the metal core really taking me back. Those were my high school days. So many memories.
glad to see you expand your taste
badass as usual
Always new metal. I love the low notes, the tone, so simply heavy
That's so amazing bro❤😊
awesome video dude,
Two awesome subgenres of metal, and a really sick video running through them.
I already know this video is gonna get some hate by gatekeepers. So just wanted to say thanks, sounds fucking sick as usual🤘
Amazing!
In love with both of these subgenres!
This guy always delivers!
I like that man Nice!!!
Gonna be the one guy watching this who loves metalcore more than anything else. I was waiting for this so thank you
You deserved more subscribers sir❤
love both styles...old is gold!
Blame by Korn will always go hard, such an underrated song.
Love both!!
Very cool, dude
Nu metal is a clear winner for me. I was big into nu metal as a teen in the late '90s and early '00s and never fully grew out of it, despite mostly being into death metal now.
🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Блин, это круто! Классный дядька!
The Darkest Hour album was the only one of these I didn't have a copy of. I had all of these CD's growing up, whether bought or downloaded, back when Microsoft Zune and Creative Labs Zen MP3 players actually tried to compete with iPods, MiniDisks were all the rage in Japan, LimeWire was in it's heyday, and CD's were still the main thing for (legal) music distribution.
I’m in process of trying to start extreme metal magazine, hopefully a free indie magazine released three times per yr. Hoping to release in March or April. Happy to offer free advertising for your UA-cam channel in the first issue. Love your channel, Mike
Metal Core is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Both genres were my introduction to metal x Mad nostalgia in this one
I’m in the process of trying to start an indie publication called Extreme Metal Magazine. Love your channel. This is going to be a free magazine. Happy to offer free advertising for your great UA-cam channel in the March or April first issue next yr. Mike
As a dude reaching the “20th Anniversary Tour” era of my life for my favorite albums, I loved both sides of this.
maaan wish I could see the 20th anniversary tour for Lamb Of God - Ashes Of The Wake and Mastodon - Leviathan. I think there's a similar joint tour with Trivium and BfmV with their albums Ascendancy and The Poison.
Ah yes the battle of the 00's
The last two great subgenres
I literally wanna age as well as you brother. Love your videos!
As soon as you add metalcore the views go up!
His challenge goes on.
We must challenge new things beyond
"Environment mutagens" by throwing
out past ideas and methods.
Happy holidays, Mr.TheSuffocater!🎄🍻🌟🎶
Im 80s / 90's thrash & death, but its nice to hear these 2 genres side by side. I have heard all these bands, id vote for Nu metal riffs, more groove. Core is a bit more technical.
Metalcore all the way easy
Absolutely amazing choices for both sides. Personally metalcore edges it out for me 🤘
Every single album I saw on this thumbnail, I grew up, listening to, and were my favorites.
I grew up with both Nu Metal and Metalcore an i love both! 🔥
So here in the video is Nu metal vs melodic death metal. I'm looking forward to your reply as soon as possible
This is not metalcore
Well sounds like you’re not familiar with Metalcore at all. Back in the Late 90's and early 00's where Metalcore slowly started it had way more Melodic Metal influences mixed with Hardcore/Punk. Over time the Genre evolved and bands like BMTH, Asking Alexandria, Of Mice and Man ( to name a few ) established the sound we all know as Metalcore. Every Genre Evolves and changes the sound over time but just because it sounded more Melodic Death at the time the genre started doesn’t mean it wasn’t Metalcore at all.
@@DimaNSK-vy4brStop the gatekeeping BS dude
@@fuerstdraugrr What kind of nonsense genius of the planet are you? Metalcore generally originated in the late 80s and early 90s when bands such as integrity, earth crisis, shai hulud, converge, disembodied, snapcase, throwndown, biohazard and others added extreme metal to hardcore. This is how metalcore was born, which has the old name “metallic hardcore”. But people thought that metalcore was metal with breakdowns and generally hated heaviness, adding the sound of Melodeth. Then post-hardcore guys in the spirit of BMTH. But thank God metalcore has been revived in the spirit of Knocked loose, Kublai khan, code orange, vein. fm, jesus piece, varials, etc.
I love the way how let chord or single string notes sounds. It makes me pretty more interested on the guitar and Amp tone. But chugged songs make me think on how more closer to a broken machinery sound a guitar tone cold be.
One of my favorite things is seeing some newer bands combining these two genres!!
Are you familiar with Code Orange?
@@pauliewalnuts829HOORAY! I MET A PERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT METALCORE IS!!!

@@Terrell_192landmvrks is a great band
Nice!!
Metalcore became big close to adulthood for me when I was around 17, but nu metal was the sound of my childhood that takes me back to the days of baggy jeans, frosted spiked hair, and listening to P.O.D on my CD player. While I do love both genres, nu metal has a special place in my heart that gives me bittersweet feelings of nostalgia.
There are no metalcore posers here
i grew up listening to all of these ❤
I've loved watching ur videos. I've been watching since ur hair was just behind ur ears. Lol.
Did I see a drop tuning on the left and not on the right? That's real dedication for a video like this
Would love to see more bands from these genres.
E bravo il trappolone! Grazie 1000❤
Muito bom! Recomendo minha banda de nu metal chamada Strada Streita. Nossas músicas então nas principais plataformas. Somos do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Valeu!!

Amazing!🤘
some bangers on there forsure both sides
🤘🤘 sick
As a 2000's/2010's kid, this was half of my entry point alongside old-school heavy metal and thrash. Honestly, I've not gotten deep enough into these subgenres considering what Slipknot, Disturbed, SOAD, A7X, Killswitch, and more have done for me. Maybe it's time I head back in to check out the better bands which I've not gotten around to yet.
Wanna get into thrash ?
Listen to think this by toxik
And forbidden debut album
Some of melodic thrash s finest
Starting off with Blame🤘
Insane choice of riffs. Especially the Nu Metal stuff is quite unexpected, but legendary songs.
Great song choice
So it’s definitely time to listen to The Fall of Ideals again 👏🏼👏🏼
I love both, Trivium is my favourite out of all those bands.
They have the best riffs in the business
@@Tybren absolutely
@@Tybrenman if you like riffs, then the best album in the genre is Count your blessings(2006) people consider it to be deathcore, but for me it’s just a metalcore without clean vocals, just like parkway drive, and one more moment Bullet for my valentine definitely has better riffs than Trivium, check the Poison(2005)
