Nah I'll play this game. I thought you guys hated Ubisoft? Bs I see. Also this game is way cheaper. We love to complain about price all the time right?
Zau looks like a pretty looking and decent platformer. However it did not need Sweet Baby's involvement. They made so many companies lose the trust of their audience to the point that SBI is seen as a jinx. I say more games like this should be given a chance, but ditch the companies like SBI. You don't need sensitivity checkers, you don't need virtue signaling, and you don't need to check boxes. As a person of colour myself I don't need to be "represented" everywhere. Just make mechanically and artistically fun games, with compelling stories interesting and visually appealing characters. Even if the stories of those games are supposed to be more mature, have the balls to go there. Also stop making a character's skin colour, what's between their legs, and who they sleep with the end all be all. Go beyond skin deep and make us care about the characters. We have many great games and diverse characters before SBI came along. They're acting like they invented fire!
Hm... doesn't look bad at all. But since SBI said that we should support representation, and I don't see Asian representation here, I'll just be following instructions.

And what did you think of the game after playing through it? Worth it or nah?
@StefanTheHNIC ok, so is it "worth" 20 us dollars? I could argue yes, but i genuinely feel it should've been priced lower, because the game has this inescapable indie feel to it. The gameplay is great. Solid metroidvania style platformer with a lovely setting. Battling is simple but servicable. Admittedly it can feel a little janky when you're fighting large crowds of enemies (which doesn't happen often outside of challenge areas). Story is very heartwarming and the characters are well done and the VOICE ACTING IS TOP NOTCH
Less than 300 peak concurrent players. Made by a member of an openly racist agency for a non existing target audience. And yet here we have Luke bending the knee and accepting dirty cash. Disappointed.
it's even funnier when that same racist group tries to virtue signal others. also the people defending SBI either doesn't know how this whole controversy started or simply choses to ignore it to suit their narrative. laughable!

Sadly the Developer was part of "Bebe Sucre", a company founded together with the people from Sweet Baby Inc.. That means me and a lot of other Gamers won't touch it with a ten foot pole. We don't need forced DEI/ESG in Games. And we don't want it. So we don't buy it.

I'm extremely against DEI but this game actually looks good. It seems culturally authentic and genuine at heart. I hate that disgusting Sweet Baby Inc damaged this game with its involvement.
It looks a lot like prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. I love that one and I enjoyed the demo of Tales of Kenzera: Zau. So I am quite happy with it right now :D
If its mechanicaly sound and dosent jam "current day" down my throat I'll give just about anything a go.
Its a very simple and straight forward story. So much that I find it boring. I appicate the effort tho. Theres one game I always compare when it comes to themes of grief and loss and that s a game called Rime. Its absolutely stunning.
Nah don't get caught up in the sweet baby drama.

SBI means no buy!
