Yeah I'm a big FPS gamer but I do enjoy the odd different genre but I ain't gonna drop loads of money on Tunic, Weird west ect. Gamepass as been a great way to try these out and sometimes find that gem you just can't put down.
I'm really happy to hear this game puts the role playing in RPG. I've been looking forward to it since it was announced a day one Game Pass title, but this just sounds amazing. Recent RPG games haven't focused on choices and changing the world around you as much.
How does this channel not have a million subscribers yet? ACG has been thee place to go for some deep diving reviews that is deeply needed in the oversaturation of other channels. Great job good sir
ACG - You are seriously THE best game reviewer I've every come across! Your commentary is smooth and funny and your overall assessment of the game being reviewed is very accurate and honest. Keep up the fantastic work!
Whoever created the artwork for the characters (not the game models) did amazing work..I love that art style..Can't wait to get a physical copy from Special Reserve Games..I want it just for the box art.
It took time to shift through "posy, possy, posies" to find "posse" and what it means. And what it was used for historically in United States. Watching this prior and rewatching afterwards was two very different experiences. 😅
Niche games getting divisive reviews are often right up my alley so it got me even more excited to see the wide range from high praise to harsh criticism lol. Glad you put in a good word, we need Colantonio to keep on keeping on. I've only played for 30 minutes, exploring and finding secrets. I'm already having a blast and the controls are slick af. The Game Pass price of free is almost criminal.
This game has been in my wishlist since its first announcement. I forgot about it and waited till I heard any news about it so I wouldn't be too impatient for it. And then i see "Weird West is available for purchase". It snuck up on me without realizing it xD will definitely be checking it out now that it's here :)
@@AV10U dude then it's not free you still had to pay money somewhere. You serious can't be that stupid. You just described how it wasn't free. I'm not upset 🤣 actually far from it. The fact you dumb people think it was free when you still had to pay money somewhere I should know I have Xbox series x with game pass ultimate. You still had to pay money so it's not free simple as that. Free is when you don't spend any money on something and you spent money for a subscription so which in turns made it not free. Without game pass you wouldn't be able to play it so basically it wasn't free. Free would be without cost and you know where the cost came from you having game pass. I was about to buy it.. when you mentioned Game pass i checked it there, definitely worth it with the first month for 1 euro , thanks for saving me some money
I'm definitely gonna give this a try but I swear that HUD is like the Elden Ring memes going around. Straight up like 40% of your screen is HUD elements and 60% for your gameplay.
@@FluffyThieves I didn't know that but makes perfect sense you can see where it all comes from. Svetlana was a prototype Rayne and the 1st act of Nocturne is the 3rd act of Bloodrayne. I think there was even a boss that used the Yagthy stone, Hedrox or something.
Guys! I just found a Dishonored Easter egg! There is a corpse named Corvo that you find during the last sequence of the first story. It’s labeled as royal protector.
Thanks for another great, in-depth review. I just finished the game and I share a lot of the same feelings but you gave me a newfound appreciation for some of the details that made things "feel good". I understand the criticisms the game is receiving as well, and I like to see differing, but compelling and valid opinions from reviewers around the title. Sometimes that's just the way it is and I feel like everyone is giving their genuine appraisal - differences in opinion and all. Excellent work, as always.
I'm so happy this game is on game pass. I've had it pre-downloaded for a few months now and I can't say no to a western based game. So the fact that it's recommended makes me so excited to get home and play it after work!
There's some quest bugs if you go to locations early, causing important NPCs to never show up or leaving you unable to experience most of the main plotline of a character (though it never stops you from the last stages required to advance to the next character). But the devs seem really eager to get feedback on those and fix them.

On one hand, I am disappointed that this isn't a D:OS2 with a wild west + Cthulhu mythos setting. On the other hand, it still looks like a good game and I'll pick it up eventually.

You know, I’m honestly kinda surprised by this, but no one has talked about how snappy the UI is. Playing this on Series X with an Xbox Controller gives you so much feedback while sifting through the menus. It feels really nice and the vibration is great for feedback. Glad you liked the game! I’m loving it so far, almost done with the first chapter - and it’s kinda reminding me of some of Image & Form’s STEAMWORLD-games, but also a little bit of VOID BASTARDS - a game which I enjoyed tremendously and doesn’t get nearly enough love… Not sure why this is getting such a milquetoast-response, it’s pretty awesome so far!

Bought the game because of this review. Looked pretty cool, turns out it's really f-ing cool. I have had some minor bugs, nothing that stopped my progression though. One npc wasn't showing up at his farm, so I had to look up how to advance the quest. The other is in the menus the reticle keeps snapping to the top left of the screen at random, but only in menus.
Love that if you kill all the baddies at one of the abandoned towns the town can get repopulated by a different faction... It can be ANY faction - Normal settlers? sure. The undead? Ofc. Other bandits? In spades. And you can repeat this.

I actually found it super disappointing that as the Pigman your outcast status only last a single mission. I really would've liked to have the biggest thing that set that character apart not to vanish 5 min in.
The number one problem with the game, is the friendly fire, and the fact that even if you turn it off, your two helpers will constantly stand two feet from what you are shooting at, blocking your shots, even if you equip them both with rifles. I have no idea why they made them shoot point blank, no matter the weapon.

A huckle bearer would be the person carrying a coffin, essentially a pallbearer. According to this theory, what Holliday should have said in the film is, “I'm your huckle bearer.” The theory goes that Val Kilmer accidentally said huckleberry instead, and the line stuck.
