From mthe glimpse we got, those pregenerated charas seem to have some meat to them. Does anyone know if they have stuff like unqiue lines or even unique quests kinda like divinity original sin 2?
I’ve heard they are just flavour text like the majority of npcs from wasteland 2, no unique choices or quests to do with them. But this is just taken from the one other review I saw.
Hey, just found your channel as I was looking for reviews of this game. You're fantastic! I love the guided review system you have and how much of game-time you invested before giving a verdict. Easy subscribe, thanks again!
awesome, thank you for this review! for me personally Wasteland 2 was kinda split between dragging along and phases where I was almost overwhelmed with what to do, but maybe that was just me. I did love the overall setting and story of the Wasteland 2 though. Guess I really have to pick this up now!
Wasteland 2 had game breaking bug, after over 100 hours of playing and meticulously building my custom characters I became stuck in a battle where it was the enemies turn, but the enemy was bugged out in infinite loop climb up and down a ladder. The game saved during the fight and every time I loaded the game the same enemy would get stuck on the same ladder. No way to continue and my last save was hours before. I gave up on waste-of-time 2.
@@shaycormaic5365 Because there are some crpgs with voiced protagonists that only have lines for preset characters. Divinity for example has voiced lines and entire storylines for premade characters while custom ones don't.
I lost you at "Horror", and then you spoke a million words within minutes. I guess that means buy? Your excitement makes me want to play it! No but seriously, really well done review Thank you very much
I’m new to this series but so far I’m very impressed. The combination of xcom style combat with more traditional rpg leveling and storytelling is a cool combo. I’m not very good at all at these kind of games but it’s pretty intuitive overall. Hopefully it gets a patch for next gen, plus by then they should have some of the bugs fixed.
I made my initial two characters Rip and Grinder from "Hobo with a Shotgun" the clothing showed that this was clearly meant to be a possibility. I then programmed Ivan in who skate rapes with the Serial Killer quirk.
The game looks solid. Hopefully it won't go stale as Wasteland 2 was at times. Also some of the skills in Wasteland 2 were objectively more useful than others, but you could not know that until you've already put some hours into the game(or read a guide). It was made with the Unity engine which explains the performance issues. The 2nd one was the same way - it made the CPU and GPU work harder than it had the right to do so compared to the graphics quality it offered.

This channel never fails to provide the best review possible.
Will probably pick this one up soon.
Thank you Karak, another amazing review. I was apprehensive because like you, sometimes its difficult for me to maintain investment in titles using the isometric view, but you made this sound like it would be engaging.
Btw, intelligence does NOT affect the amount of skill points you get per level, it's a one-time bonus.
That quote from brian Fargo just undermines the Inherent moral good that we have. Whether you believe in natural theory or not there are many cases where there has been hard circumstances and people have banded together to help one another. The nihilist view is simply the easiest to take.
You're videos are always top draw, always smile at your content. Love the one liners and the no nonsense reviews
5:14 Wait a minute🤣🤣
What I like about your reviews is they vary from game genre's, I had a problem finding a reviewer like you. Alot of them just cover types they really love like FPS or what ever genre they do.
Iv bin watching awhile to, but I felt like I should say this now, even if you never see this. :p
From mthe glimpse we got, those pregenerated charas seem to have some meat to them. Does anyone know if they have stuff like unqiue lines or even unique quests kinda like divinity original sin 2?
Wondering the same. There seem to be many of them for them to have a lot of bespoke content, but unique lines would be nice.
I’ve heard they are just flavour text like the majority of npcs from wasteland 2, no unique choices or quests to do with them. But this is just taken from the one other review I saw.
love your videos man!!! never stop. best one out there hands down.
(for reviews)
I didn't like Wasteland 1 and 2. But the graphical upgrades and presentation has me excited for this 3rd installment.
booo !!! (kidding) wasteland 2 was fucking amazing!
Were graphics really the only obstacle?
Great review. It's refreshing to watch a review from someone who clearly loves the RPG genre.
Ugh, that stat system gives me a headache.
Its alot
C.L.A.S.S.I.C.
Profile picture checks out
it really excites me
Guys, to those that played both. This or W2: DC. I just missed something in the previous title. Which one is overall better?
Excellent review by an even better reviewer. The best reviewer on the platform by a country mile.
Are the custom characters voiced?
Dumb question why wouldn't they be lol
@@shaycormaic5365 Because there are some crpgs with voiced protagonists that only have lines for preset characters. Divinity for example has voiced lines and entire storylines for premade characters while custom ones don't.
I lost you at "Horror", and then you spoke a million words within minutes. I guess that means buy? Your excitement makes me want to play it!
No but seriously, really well done review
Thank you very much
CAAAAAANT WAIIIIT!!! hope i win the giveaway and that'll make 28th this years christmas
I just want to take this time to say you are by far the best game reviewer I've listened to.
Well since the games free you had me at robot chickens
Downloaded this the minute it was up on gamepass,it's been a blast so far, great review!
You are hands down the top game reviewer on UA-cam. Keep up the good work sir.
I totally slept on this. 38hrs of fully voiced dialog? Awesome. I'm in.
I just got it for sale $13 today. Thank you for the recommendation.
The 2nd one was the same way - it made the CPU and GPU work harder than it had the right to do so compared to the graphics quality it offered.
you give scream as an example but not evil dead ? You are fired sir
I was on the fence about this one, but you absolutely convinced me to give it a shot.
"So i whipped out the ole smoke wagons and proceeded to cannon hole em in the guts" LMAO, pure literary gold.
Another perfect review , tells me exactly whats right and whats wrong with a game , its exactly what we need from reviewers. Honestly Karak we need more honest people like you, i think ill get gamepass to try this out , seems worth it
Man, I was going to snooze on this one, but your review (and the gameplay footage) now reeeeeally makes me want to get it!
I got my backer key yesterday. Now just waiting for the game to release :)
The soundtrack for this game is probably one of the best ever. It's so odd but makes the epic moments insanely good.
I'm so happy Wasteland 3 seems to have lived up to Wasteland 2, and even surpassed it.
INCREDIBLY happy to hear the verdict of this game!!! Been a fan since Was m the original Wasteland and even went back to replay the previous 2 in anticipation of this. Already have it loaded up, just waiting for it to unlock so I can wreak havok on Colorado!!
As someone who loved Wasteland 2 to bits, I'm SO glad this game lived up to its expectations
