Tell him to join the Doobies on this upcoming anniversary tour! Michael McDonald is joining them which is huge, and Tiran joining them would make it even bigger.
This video clearly shows what a fantastic group The Doobie Brothers are. Every band member is smiling and having a blast. You never see videos like this anymore. Thank you for providing us decades of great music!
I was 18 when it first came out and I saw it on MTV and I thought it was awesome my dad heard it in the background and said the same thing he was all excited. Great song
When I first heard this song, I thought to myself "now these are the Doobies that I know!!!" Nothing against the Michael McDonald-styled edition, but I enjoyed the "rock" version a lot better.
It was. Great to hear Tiran Porter and Pat Simmons kicking ass. I don’t get why everyone gives McDonald so much shit..Tom needed to get off the road. Bros took a different direction for a while and then came back. Probably made the guys in the band a lot of $$ while he was there.
It was great when The Doobie Brothers got back together with Tom Johnston, because it was like this great group returned to it's roots, doing what they always did best! Peace, BobbyK

Garden State Art Center. 1989. My 27th birthday. A lightning storm settled over the pavilion & knocked the power out a dozen times. They never missed a beat. Probably one of the best shows I have ever seen. Besides, look how happy they were to be to be the Tom Johnson Doobies again.
Hands down, the BEST and most kickin' all time fun tune the Doobies ever pressed onto wax, yet for some reason it gets very little air-time...never understood that one.
It did back then it was a huge hit. The doobies we're big in the seventies and nothing for a long time. Then all the sudden they burst back on the scene with this new hit. I remember hearing it all summer long. I think that would have been 1988
I also think it doesn't get the attention cuz you know some people are they'll complain this one doesn't have Michael McDonald in it singing and a lot of people know the Doobie Brothers from the 1970s hits. kind of like some of those characters who will only listen to Van Halen with David Lee Roth and don't want to pay attention to any of the awesome stuff that came out in the '80s and the nineties of course with Sammy
Man did they ever use it! I felt a touch of motion sickness TRYING to watch this video....and I am someone who never gets motion sickness or vertigo. Song is great, but the video is almost unwatchable. Good God, what were they thinking?

Because radio sucks.
