I agree with Jenseraii. A live action tv series focusing on the Sith of the old republic would be I think the breath of fresh air some of us fans need with the loss of the EU. RIP Legacy of the Force😭
+Peter Parker I just want the wants the guys who did the TOR trailer to do a movie with a better animation budget (a lot of that slow mo got on my nerves). If Blizzard is gonna do it, so should Star Wars.
I am with Reti on the EU. The whole Legends thing is my biggest issue. With comics at least they dont act like the new continuity they are using to have more freedom is the "true" timeline. DC still leaves it to you to decide if you care more about Earth Prime or Earth's one and two.
I can't thank you guys enough. You are the people that really got me into Star Wars more than just the movies. I love the council forcecast and I love all of you guys versus videos. You guys have inspired me to try and start my own Star Wars UA-cam channel. Stay awesome guys!! :)
Although I'm not finished with the video, once again nice job and it was nice to see everyone able to make it to the recording. Keep up the good work guys and I look forward to more Forcecasts
When I saw that final shot with Vader I figured Vader was taking a picture and didn't know where he was looking. And he got the picture looking at it like, "God damn it."
Great podcast. I like it when you talk about something other than Star Wars in your podcasts, it's refreshing. Question: What were your thoughts on Civil War and are you guys looking forward to Doctor Strange?
"We all have our little headcanons for things that don't work." So so true. One of my dad's big complaints about the prequels is, what he calls, the technology gap. He can't stand that the prequels (the past) look way more technologically advanced than the originals (the future). After he said that, I realized how right he was. I developed this head canon that empire was so controlling that it restricted the creation and distribution of far more superior tech to its subjects for fear of insurrection and rebellion.
SAS is the Special Air Service, a group of English Special forces who specialize in covert recon, counter terrorism, and hostage extraction. Im pretty sure Bear Grylls was SAS, so they do receive survival training, Ive heard Richard Hammond refer to Pine Needle Tea as SAS style.
1:28:00 I understand Matts point but I have to agree with the rest of you that midichlorians as a concept are completely fine. Even as a kid I always thought there was something different about Luke, Vader, Leia, and the Emperor as to why they could do the things they could do. If anyone could just do this then, as Connor said, why doesn't EVERYONE do it? I guess I understand if you were someone who really liked Han Solo and wondered if he could be a jedi, but that doesn't mean the midicholrian thing was a bad idea. I will admit it wasn't explained all that well, but I've never had a problem with the concept because there needs to be some concrete explanation as to why only some can touch the force and the original trilogy didn't give us that.
Here is my thoughts on tcw it does have some dark moments in session one. Ventress had difficulty in saber duels because she faced Ahsoka, Obi wan, Anakin and Grievous
Dark moments...oh yes...season one had the H word and the later seasons had people getting shot in the face and others being slowly crushed to death. Kid rating my ass.
I agree with ya'll during the Rebels talk Kanan struggles, thrawn intro to the season, Maul theory sounded cool. Coming from the future and seeing the S3 premiere probably was a factor of why I felt underwhelm still enjoyed it. Jen's theory with the Knights of Ren's sounded boss as hell but I doubt they'll do it.
For example EvanNova95 character vs Jensaarai1 character. This idea comes from the fact you and your friends answered questions about which side your in, what lightsaber you have, and what fighting style you have.
Maybe Green lightsabers represent a change in someone, or a new perspective than what they once had. Lukes lightsaber changed when he lost his hand and found out Vader was his Father the whole time. Maybe being tricked by Maul, beaten by vader, having Kanan be wounded because of him, and losing Ashoka altered Ezra enough to change the crystal.
Thank you Jensaarai1, you have summed up everything wrong with TCW Ventress. I cannot read Dark Disciple, I have tried but no. I read the spoilers on wookiepedia to save me the pain. The royally destroyed Quinlan Vos and Asajj Ventress, two of the greatest characters from the series of clone wars graphic novels. I don't think they could have killed her in a more pathetic way. Why won't Maul just die??? He should have stayed dead after TPM, let Savage Opress be the new Maul and that would have been enough. If Maul can survive being cut in half and keep reappearing in TCW and Rebels, why can't Palpatine come back in clones like Dark Empire? A lowly Sith warrior/assassin can cheat death but a complete master of the dark side cannot? Seriously? Mini rant over, looking forward to the completion of Darth Plagueis guys :-)
An old video but Reti's discussion about how Disney treated the EU after buying the rights could have/be summed up through comparing Marvel and DC's attitude towards continuity. Marvel - "We have this HUGE backlog of stuff that's happened. The fans can pick and chose what old adventures they like/don't like, the writers must stick to the big continuity points but are allowed to change things if we say so. And if there are any mistakes, then they happen and everyone knows it's a part of the job." DC - "Oh gods, look at this insanity! Quick, wipe it all away, so we don't have to be beholden to it all." Five years later and they go through the exact same wipe, with usually the older stories having been brought back into canon but in different forms. The people in charge of Star Wars decided on the DC route, making many of the fans feel like their love of everything non-film had been crapped on, while the fans wanted them to do the Marvel method (which is how Lucas somewhat treated the EU).
I see Kanan's situation as a perfect chance to introduce a Miraluka to help him progress in using the Force to "see". Have them find another survivor of Order 66 who helps Kanan and ends up sacrificing themselves at the end of the season.
Excellent commentary as always. Rogue One looks like it will be good. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I do have more faith in Edwards and Abrams. Because, I really don't like Abrams as a director. Edwards, on the other hand, I love. Could you guys cover for Legends material the X-wing books by Michael A. Stackpole? I've been rereading them and they are amazing. So much so, I'd love an anthology film on either this or the Wraith Squadron that is a mix of Top Gun and Dirty Dozen.
Are you guys going to review Battlefront: Twilight Company at some point? I found it pretty interesting and also somewhat conflicting, I'd be keen to hear the council's thoughts on it. I've not been very keen on the new Canon, and after being burned by Lords of the Sith I had pretty low expectations going into this book, but it was nothing like I expected. I found it simultaneously interesting and boring, compelling and not, I really don't know how to describe it. But I do recommend it, I think.
Hang on a minute. What happened to the Plagueis conversation? Last I checked you guys were supposed to be going through all the Jedi council members rating their chances against the Sith Lord. Are you just not bothering with that now?
Have you or "The Team" as I'll call them, thought of bringing Prince from Urban Acolytes into the fold? I understand there'd have to be interest on both sides, but I think it'd be worth considering. He is another small Star Wars centric UA-camr, and more importantly, a great guy. I think he would fit into the group well, and just so you don't think I'm advertising some friend or something, I'll tell you he has around 36,000 subs, near Jen's amount. Not that it should matter or anything, just so ya know he's not some huge unreachable dude, or some really really small guy/friend of mine. Thx, Peace out
Brah is possibly ISB hence the uniform. Also if the core worlders made up the majority of loyal imperials whom left with the Order. It makes sense for their children to adopt the accent of those around them. If they were recruiting locals from the rim then we should expect that. Given Star wars politics has kept that the core was where most of the imperial support stemmed from, it makes sense.
Glad to see you guys still doing this. My comment is going to be in response to some of your remarks that the DC movies have ruined characters. Yes, it was a very small arbitrary point at the end, but I honestly agreed with most of what you guys said so I thought this would be more interesting. In my opinion you can't really say that a comic book film "ruined" a character. There are so many reboots, revamps, and changes to characters that there's not as much consistency to characterization. While I disagree with Jensaari when he states that canon Ventress ruined Ventress as a character, that opinion has merit since there was one consistent version of Ventress before the canon version so being upset about the changes is justified. In DC comics however, there hasn't been that consistency. Let's look at Superman, In the 40s Superman was a violent killer, in the 50s he was a jingoist, in the 60s he was a petty prankster, in the 70s he was square, in the 80s he had doubts about his place in the world, in the 90s he died, resurrected and became the paragon and in the New 52 he's a cocky, arrogant prick. How do you decide which one is the right version and by extension how can you claim that the current DC film version of Superman "ruined" the character? If you say "I don't care for this interpretation of the Superman character" then that's your opinion and that's cool but it doesn't make sense to say that Superman or any of the DC characters who people say have been ruined by the movies(Lex, Batman, and Joker) when they have had a variety of personalities in the comics. These changes are what keeps them relevant in modern society. And I assume Reti4 is referring to the lack of the abuse angle in Suicide Squad between Harley and Joker. Those scenes were shot and edited but they tested poorly with audiences(They thought it was uncomfortable, too dark, and sexist) so the studio cut it so it wouldn't interfere with the profitability of the movie. It had nothing to do with a creative choice. And even if it did, I think making changes to the Harley Joker relationship is justified since every single Harley Joker story since the inception of the character of Harley has had Mad Love as the backstory. But we've had the same backstory and the same story types with Harley and the Joker for 20 years. That kind of arbitrary restriction is like saying that the Batman/Joker relationship has to be exactly like the one in the Killing Joke. The reason great stories Batman/Joker stories came out after that is because writers were allowed the freedom to explore the characters in new ways. Sorry for sending this to you Evan since you didn't really contribute much to that exchange.
Hey, I'm the guy that wrote that r/DC_Cinematic post you got that "In the 40s Superman was a violent killer, in the 50s he was a jingoist, in the 60s he was a petty prankster, in the 70s etc" line from. I'm glad to see that DC fans love Star Wars enough that they go beyond just the movies.
Yo dude I am very active on that subreddit. I took your words because I had to go to bed and I was too lazy to form your thoughts in my own words. Sorry about that. I'm going away for a couple days so I wanted to post that while it was still fresh. Nice to see some other fans all the way out here!
The estimated High Council members are; Greyjedi91; Grandmaster. Antoine Bandele; Spymaster (always got the latest news) EvanNova95; Loremaster ( I have jet to find something he has not read) Jensaarai1; Battlemaster (best lightsaber-style videos by fare) Reti4; Master of philosophy (see his video-discussion with Greyjedi91, nobody knows the light-side and Jedi teachings better)
I have conflicted feelings about the Vong. Cause I like what they do and the tone of hopelessness they bring. But i don't really care for the Vong themselves. Like their design just makes me think of space orcs and their "tech" is interesting but I think i would just have preferred them to be just another race. Not the doom bringers coming from outside of the known galaxy to kill trillions and sack coruscant. Like I compare them to the reapers from mass effect in my head since they function similarlly in their respective stories and aesthetically and functionally I prefer everything about the reapers to the vong. So basically I wish the reapers could slide into the star wars universe.
Any thoughts on the Blade Runner sequel? It seems like people are split between those who are optimistic about it, due to the actors and director working on it, and those who find it completely pointless.
Oh jeez there was a sequel........well I probably haven't heard of it for a reason hehe. The first of any franchise tends to be the best in most cases.
Oops well sorry bout that hehe I am tired and am not seeing things properly. hopefully it doesn't end up in the terrible sequel bin. I'll have to check out the details but I will remain optimistic in the meantime.
#CouncilForcecastQnA Have you considered having Matt Wilkins on the show? Would any of you consider doing more non-Force-sensitive like Han Solo, Dash Rendar, Kir Kanos, or Bossk? Favorite E.U. author? Would you consider reviewing the Tie Fighter animated short or the Legacy of the Force fan-film on the show?
One of the similar star wars talk videos had a message towards the audience to propose new subjects to talk about. I came up with council topics worth discussing! :)
01. Jerec, Sariss, Desann. 3 late legends dark jedi who defying their nature really resembled actual sith in one or more aspects of their mindset. Who agrees and who doesn't? 02. Debate the 3 most iconic crime lords and/or organizations of all the ones existing in star wars! Everyone give their personal favorite top 3 list! 03. Debate all the ligtsaber resistant and force conducting materials in star wars regarding their practicality in actual use! 04. Which are the most underutilized planets in the franchise showcased in games, movies, animation? Everyone pick 5 beforehand, then compare notes if there are any connections! 05. Which are the most underutilized races in star wars portrayed as force users? Pitch a force sect for them that has combative teachings, and also denote a lightsaber form (or two) for them! For example Falleen - > Sith - > Niman. 06. Which are the lesser known force sects of the franchise which could hypothetically train individuals who could combatively be rivals to most well known sith or jedi? 07. Give credit to the more obscure but still perfectly grounded and non-ridiculous lightsaber designs! Everyone portray their own choice and try to concince the rest that their choice is superior! 08. Who would win? Imperial Knights vs Mandalorian Knights vs Jensaarai vs Knights of Zakuul 09. Which old expanded universe vehicle should appear in the new canon limelight? AT-PT? AT-AA? etc... 10. The Muun vs The Pau'ans! Tall people! Who would make the more capable (mostly) melee force user saber wielders? 11. Mon Calamari, Quarrens, Nautolans, Selkath! Out of the 4 most well known aquatic races, who are the most versatile in all possible battle situations as jedi or sith? 12. Trandoshans, Barabels, Chistori, Ssi-Ruu! Out of the 4 most known reptilian races, force+saber users were really rare if not non-existent. Explain how each would benefit from having a new jedi or sith character! NONE of them should be deaf to the force! 13. Aside from Grievous and a few obscure entries, cybernetic prosthetics were really just showcased with humanoids! What is the reason behind this? Pitch new races that would benefit from cybernetics with storytelling! 14. Do some research work and define the somewhat exact BBY creation date of the 7 classical lightsaber forms and Jar'Kai! (I already have notes on Vaapad and Trispzest, because they are easy.) 15. Has there been any instances when irridonian and dathomiri zabrak mingled and/or interbred? Kao-Cen Darach BTW looks kinda suspicious! 16. Wookiees and Talz! Could they be effective allies? Perhaps a successful master apprentice relationship in a force sect? Which of them is superior? Alternatively: Who would win in a showdown without force, using only ranged guns, melee weapons, and unarmed combat? 17. Will Kylo Ren's crossguard saber design remain in the franchise as one of the more practically usable hilt designs or will it fade into obscurity? Is it exclusively only cool as a single blade, or will it ever look good with non-single wielding? 18. Vote for the the best pre-disney non-movie entry in the franchise/legends! Animation and cartoons, books, games, comics? 19. Chiss force users! Ex-humans from an ice planet! Why are/were they so rare? Pitch a certain type of chiss jedi and/or sith who could be successful! Are they hindered in understanding the obscure by their pragmatic mindset? And are they genetically compatible with humans? If sith interbred with humans, could chiss do the same with sith? 20. Have non-chiss force users ever been to the home planet of the chiss? 21. Since Corellian/Green Jedi have been established as having difficulties in producing as potent force active abilities as mainline jedi but having superior absorbtion potential, in what situations could a type of green jedi stand up to a jedi or a sith? 22. Choose the most atmospherically enjoyable and obscure planet that was a core foundation at some point for the Sith Empire, and a time period in which to view it in, and convince the others that your choice is better/cooler/spookier! 23. Tython and Ossus! Really important planets for both jedi and to a lesser extent sith too. Any information on why they are so lightly portrayed and any news or rumors if the will be ever resurfacing again? How did canon change? 24. What was the opinion of the true secluded Empire on Kaas/Ziost/Korriban/Nathema on the matter of some surfacing coreworld sith newcomers like Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun, or the Trayus Triumvirate? 25. How did Dromund system's Kaas go from what it is like portrayed in The Old Republic to how utterly devoured it appeared in Mysteries of the Sith? Although the TOR version still was awesome, why was the MotS one still way cooler? 26. Blue Green Yellow Orange Purple Red White - out of these 7 basic colors, everyone choose 3 favorites before the show! Present your choices in the show for the others! In the end, the most selected color wins! 27. Saberstaff and dual wielded sabers! In movies, games, and animation, which were the coolest most practical portrayals, and which were the most clumsy stupid portrayals in movement and handling? 28. Dark Troopers and Shadowtroopers! Should such distinctive lightsaber resistant black armor and force crystals return in the franchise again as some form of troops? Either blaster users or a lightsaber using character or troops? Where does Rogue One's new Death Trooper appear on the spectrum? 29. If either the Republic or the Empire would suddenly decide to create special force user commandos who use guns, how would 4 man teams look like by choosing 4-4 separate races for Republic and Empire? 30. The Anzati! How effective are they in an open lightsaber duel regarding tentacle feeding? 31. Any news on a potential Yoda spinoff movie? Could it potentially mention Vandar, Oteg, and Yaddle? 32. If you had to control the training of 3 jedi temple guards who already had a familiarity with all 7 classical forms, which 3 forms would you want each of them to focus on to work together in a group? Choose 1 form for each 1 guard! Each contestant can explain his version of composition! 33. Killiks or Geonosians? If you needed to choose one enforcer to provide help in a battle against Colicoids, who would you go to battle aside with? Everyone vote for one or the other! 34. TOR introduced killik joiners and Vector Hyllus who was a rare individual who was enabled to keep most of his personality as an intermediary ambassador. If a sith lord decided to trick the killiks by turning him into such a joiner with a personality, who would gain more? The sith gaining a hive of force potential, or the hive gaining the force through a joiner? Who could control the other? Would the darkside corrupt the whole hive? 35. Poetically describe the psychological effects of what a lone AT-ST enemy advance might cause to an observer! Write a small artistic paragraph and read it out loud in the show! 36. Pitch the perfect TV-Series about post-rakatan Korriban! 37. Who was the most effective Mandalore in history? 38. Gorc & Pic - Were they the most elaborate or sophisticated sithspawn ever created? 39. Which are the most overused species/races in all the franchise? Try to name all! Who are the biggest cliché aliens by now? (Excluding unimportant background characters.) 40. Any news on the at least 2 remaining inquisitors from Rebels? 1 Grand + 3 were killed in the show, 1 additional killed by Ahsoka, 1 probably by Maul (hence his staff), that leaves 2 out of a possible minimum total of 8! They were extremely good additions to the show!
My answers: 02. MY 3 favorites: 1. Xim & Genoharadan because of the epic time period 2. Prince Xizor and his iconic appearance 3. Tiber Zann as the most badass ...X. honorable mention: Nok Drayen for performance 04. 1. Any lava planets like Sarapin or Taspir III or Sullust or Mustafar, 2. Felucia, 3. Ruusan, 4. Chandrila, 5. Vjun 05. Voss Killik Joiner -> Sith "sorcerer type character" like (dark jedi) Jerec -> Folding-saberstaff Juyo 06. The non-obvious ones would be: Gand force sensitive findsmen and Baran Do sages 07. Undeniably good designs: TCW/Rebels Folding Staff, Boc's Twin Sabers, Long Hilt Saber of Nihl, Zakuul Lightsaber Pike... 09. AT-PT! Hands down! 11. Selkath! No tentacles to accidentally chop off! 12. A Trandoshan Dark Jedi melee saber user of significant importance is LONG overdue! 13. Cyborg-Chiss force sensitive sniper! He could ensnare victims with a weird form of crosshair battle meditation! 16. I'm gonna go with Talz, because they are so wonderfully hideous, can survive in cold better, and have a more warrior-like society! 17. It has a legitimate chance to stay forever, but it still needs a logical fightning style provided under it! 18. Dark Forces II Jedi Knight + Mysteries of the Sith are the best entries the franchise ever had since The Empire Strikes Back! 19. Imagine a half-chiss half-sith Inquisitor as one of the mentors of Lord Kaan! 22. For me nothing beats the artistic but raw desolate spookiness of Dromund Kaas in Mysteries of the Sith! 26. Orange Red Green 27. Clumsy: Dual & Staff Jedi Academy ; Cool: Dual KotOR, Staff Rebels 28. A new single character who looks and functions like a Shadowtrooper should be introduced! 29. Republic: Gand (tracker) + Kel-Dor (seer) + Voss (commando) + Nikto (morgukai) ; Empire: Anzati (assassin) + Chiss (marksman) + Sith (commando) + Esh-Kha slave (frontline) 32. 1. Shien 2. Ataru 3. Juyo 33. Geonosians FTW! They can fly thus shoot from a vantage point! 39. Twi'lek, Nikto, Togruta, Gran, Wookiee, Weequay, Mon Calamari
No, no. I've just been held up by a RIDICULOUSLY busy schedule and some unexpected events in my personal life. I am currently 75% of the way done with my next script.
Goddamn! Jensaarai1 has the same idea about a good TV series as I do! Ancient Sith portrayed like Game of Thrones!!!!!! Awesome! I had the same idea 1 month after the release of this video, but just now 3 months after it's release I am watching this council debate!!! The time period should mostly focus on Korriban from: - the peace before the Rakatan invasion around 28000 BBY, - through Adas, - through Xim and later genoharadan, - two chisms, - Ajunta Pall and his 11, - the death of Marka Ragnos, - 3993 BBY Korriban resettled by the surivors of the Exar Kun War, the formation of Dreshdae settlement, - perhaps even up to the rise of a hinted Revan. But could cover the galaxy's creation myth too with the shaman of the whills/force priestesses, celestials/ones, gree, kwa, killiks, rakata/esh-kha, humans, taung, early humans on Csilla, leading up to and through the significance of Korriban. Even showcasing the coming-into-existence of the two types of Zabrak, and the rakatan induced separation from one race to the later two Sand People and Jawas. Other planets showcased: Belsavis, Hoth, Tatooine, Dantooine, Kashyyk, Manaan, Byss, Corellia, Dathomir, Duro, Malastare, Onderon and Dxun, Raxus Prime, Yavin, Ziost, Tund, Arbra, Tython, Ossus, and the Dromund system. Also preferrably expanding on the Altyr system.
I love jensaari's insights and ideas a lot and one of the top things I look forward to out of any of the videos these guys do but man I'd love to hear about things he likes or is excited about with all the new canon cus he just doesn't seem to have any hope or love for it at all. He seems to only talk in this when he has a criticism which don't get me wrong I love hearing his criticisms, I just also want to know what he likes. Cus I hold his opinion of this stuff in high regard.
I like the concept of after 2 fucking decades Vader makes an Ernest attempt at having an apprentice, even if it got bundled by Sideous knowing. I even like Galen Marek as a character FOR an apprentice assassin, even if the showy of the powers is a tad odd. but yes the rebellion being so freaking worthless that HE is the one that finally brings it into a galactic alliance? frekaing please, especially when all of THEM know each other and he doesn't. did enjoy the conept of him fighting Rahm Kota, the Old Guy, even Shakk although that should have been him getting defeated Vader showing up in the aftermath and good ol final fight between SHakk and Vader. and a you FAILED ME thing leading to Galen to questioning his master then betrayal with Sideous then he goes rouge and seeks shelter with.... Yoda, or Obiwan. and then more jedi stuf and then gets dragged into a fight. perhaps for his woman, can even still work at Proxy, and Maris Brood and others! alas.
I agree. Any company that owns a fictional literature it doesn't see the product like the consumers do. I would rather have Disney maintain the past ST Universe and move toward but they are not doing that. At least a true reboot is starting from scratch like in Marvel and DC.
Honestly, if I could pick anyone else besides John Williams to score the Star Wars films, I would pick Nobuo Uematsu, who scored much of the Final Fantasy series.
Personally I'd love for us all to merge into one channel in general. I know for a fact that all of our content would improve as a result (we each have major strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other). It'd sure as hell get me to create more content. I'm lazy as all hell and morality, in this case an obligation to a team, is about the only thing that motivates me in life. Unfortunately this would create issues as certain members monetise their content, so the proper apportionment of funds would become a tedious affair. Not because we wouldn't be fair with one another or anything, I just mean in terms of the actual working out of who gets what, if anything. We could do it, but it'd be some work by itself, and I don't think the others are interested.
If any live action Star Wars series came out, then I would like it to be on Netflix as well. Netflix has shown to be more than capable of making exceptional live-action series with Marvel's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Stranger Things. But I can see why Lucasfilm would want it to be on cable network because there would be more viewers and more profit coming from that way. However, I think that the quality of the show would be decreased. I think that better quality series can be made with fewer materials. Of course, J.J. wants a spin-off series on the Knights of Ren. He didn't do enough to expand upon them and their significance in his film! He was more concerned about getting the same beats as ANH than making something original. I'm with Reti4 in that I'm in the middle on how they're expanding their universe. I want them to create their own material that is new and original to Star Wars. Like what Jesnaari said, that's pretty much the reason why they swept away the previous canon and replace it with their new one. But if they ever do bring in bits and pieces of the old EU, then it should be easy, simple things that don't effect either side. Like what Reit said, the "Western Reaches" is a good example. Introducing me could not be a good thing (they've already changed my look and a bit of my character). I think that what Reti was trying to get across is that legally George has the right to change some things or not allow some things to be done, but is it ethical when he does it? Because people have different views on the Star Wars universe, if he does anything it will upset people. You don't need to look any further than the changes he made to each re-releases of the OT. What I don't understand is why they chose the name "Death Troopers." To me those are the zombies in the book with the same name. I would've preferred them to have been called "Shadow Troopers" or "Storm Commandos" because they sound like those specific detachments. I really don't like the crystal color change (if it's true that is). Because if it is true, then why didn't Anakin's lightsaber change to red when he became a Sith in ROTS? If murdering children, Separatist leaders, and your wife in cold blood is not Sith enough then what is he missing? I don't know if it being Depa Billaba's lightsaber crystal would work though. In the Kanan comics, she died from Order 66 and Caleb/Kanan never returned to her spot to pick up her lightsaber. Funny how Reti mentions violin for background music because an influence to my character is Sherlock Holmes. And what does he play? A violin. No, it's not the same guy. In AOTC, the person that Padmé was talking about was called Pablo (no surname). The person in the TCW episodes is Rush Clovis. 51:35 I'm thinking they might do the same thing that happened in Dark Disciple. It looks like Darth Maul is going to take Ezra and teach him the Dark Side on Dathomir, and that is where we will see Kanan under the influence of the Nightsister Force Magic. It won't be because Ezra and Maul combine the Jedi and Sith holocrons. It's weird how we are getting these books that are named after the main character. "Tarkin" before and now "Thrawn." What's next? "Needa?" "Hux?" "Phasma?" I do hope that Zahn takes the same route as Luceno too.
We originally recorded this a while ago but alas, we were delayed. Our apologies
Hey guys! When will the final part of the Plaguies review be out
EvanNova95 nice vid
Have you see episode 1 of season 3 then?
When's the next Darth Plagueis book video coming out?
what a surprise! Lol!
I agree with Jenseraii. A live action tv series focusing on the Sith of the old republic would be I think the breath of fresh air some of us fans need with the loss of the EU. RIP Legacy of the Force😭
+Peter Parker
The seris went peacefully. we cremated it in New Zealand of all places and tossed it's ashes in a nearby river....😢 it will be missed.
+Peter Parker I just want the wants the guys who did the TOR trailer to do a movie with a better animation budget (a lot of that slow mo got on my nerves). If Blizzard is gonna do it, so should Star Wars.
He's mourning... 😐 give him a minute
There's some truth in legends (ahsoka tano )rebels
?
I am with Reti on the EU. The whole Legends thing is my biggest issue. With comics at least they dont act like the new continuity they are using to have more freedom is the "true" timeline. DC still leaves it to you to decide if you care more about Earth Prime or Earth's one and two.
I can't thank you guys enough. You are the people that really got me into Star Wars more than just the movies. I love the council forcecast and I love all of you guys versus videos. You guys have inspired me to try and start my own Star Wars UA-cam channel. Stay awesome guys!! :)
"On a low budget planet"- Evannova. This is why I love these!
Absolutely love your channel man, seriously wish I could talk Lore with you, GreyJedi and the lads! Best of luck brother!
Although I'm not finished with the video, once again nice job and it was nice to see everyone able to make it to the recording. Keep up the good work guys and I look forward to more Forcecasts
& fuck yeah I love Donald Glover but I do agree with Antoine, but if he does get selected hopefully he proves us wrong. I'd love to see him succeed
cf: Don't you dare make Maul toys
Lucasfilm: Too late. They're also half-off
Better that than Maul being a waist-ed character eh?
heh heh heh. question: does he poop and can he bone?
Janos Jalics I assume yes on the first and on the other.......... well, possibly, but it's not quite the same as the real deal XD
When I saw that final shot with Vader I figured Vader was taking a picture and didn't know where he was looking. And he got the picture looking at it like, "God damn it."
I hope the London Symphony Orchestra is used to record the Episode 8 soundtrack, not freelance musicians like in TFA soundtrack.
Possibly with the help of William Ross.
LOve the Forcecast. Keep it coming bros :)
Great podcast. I like it when you talk about something other than Star Wars in your podcasts, it's refreshing. Question: What were your thoughts on Civil War and are you guys looking forward to Doctor Strange?
Nice Haircut
Council Forcecast is back and just as good as ever!!!!!
Hah! In my play through of KOTOR I named my guy Ren Qel-Droma. Comnsidering that Kylo Ren looks like Revan this is a funny coincidence.
"We all have our little headcanons for things that don't work."
So so true.
Hi guys I have been a long time unsubscribed fan and just became a sub
^ This guy is devoted
Good to see GreyJedi. His opinions and analysis are so interesting. He takes it to a almost scholarly level.
Kid rating my ass.
what do you guys think of the old republic(stwor) time era?
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!
Jensaarai1, what ever happened to Lord Scourge vs Rahm Kota??
He said it will come around November after his copyright strike is lifted
He is waiting until November because of a copyright issue.
Oh ya, got it now. Thanks.
What did you guys thing of KLYO REN AWAKENING?
When I heard of the Bendu creature, the Lion-Turtle and other animals in Legend of Korra were the first things i thought of
Maybe Green lightsabers represent a change in someone, or a new perspective than what they once had.
Still waiting for your Rogue One review ForceCast. Make it happen :]
And if there are any mistakes, then they happen and everyone knows it's a part of the job."
DC - "Oh gods, look at this insanity!
Please could u do more the story of videos, they are well viewed and ur content at its best!
Appreciate the new camera, Jen.
Oh god yes it's a dream come true. He doesn't look like he's going 2 frames a second now.
what is you all opinion on Snoke being Mace Windu?
great video guys
Hang on a minute. What happened to the Plagueis conversation? Last I checked you guys were supposed to be going through all the Jedi council members rating their chances against the Sith Lord. Are you just not bothering with that now?
It's recorded. 'Just needs uploading now.
+Reti4 you need to speak up more.. my volume is all the way on high and I can still barely hear you... lol come on man 😐
+Master Of Disguise interesting, this was actually one of the podcast where Reti 's volumn seemed to be perfect.
+joshua lynch I know I didn't even mean to comment on this video.. my mistake I meant to comment on a different video.
+Master Of Disguise lol it happens. What do you think about the Rogue One trailer?
what did u think of the "Darth Vader VS Doctor Doom" death battle?
just a little curious.
Grawp vs Wun Wun
now that would be fucking awesome
Will you guys release part 3 of Plagueis eventually?
Umesh Narayan I'm not looking for credit or anything. I just thought it was neat seeing a fellow DCEU fan here.
The estimated High Council members are;
Greyjedi91; Grandmaster.
Antoine Bandele; Spymaster (always got the latest news)
EvanNova95; Loremaster ( I have jet to find something he has not read)
Jensaarai1; Battlemaster (best lightsaber-style videos by fare)
Reti4; Master of philosophy (see his video-discussion with Greyjedi91, nobody knows the light-side and Jedi teachings better)
what's up with Evans Mic
Evans mic shriveled and died.
would love to see you guys talk about how you feel about rebels now that the series is over
Greyjedi didnt talk that much throughout the episode. Is he not very interested in the new canon??
perfect was waiting for a new one
I think "March of the Resistance" was a good theme that Williams made for Force Awakens.
+Evannova95 when will you continue with versus series?
EvanNova95- Satele Shan vs. Shaak Ti or Satele Shan vs. Quinnlin Vos. Either way, I really want to see Satele Shan, she's actually my favorite Jedi.
No, it's upcoming. Currently in production.
Oops well sorry bout that hehe I am tired and am not seeing things properly. hopefully it doesn't end up in the terrible sequel bin. I'll have to check out the details but I will remain optimistic in the meantime.
where is palgueis 3
Matt is right. It was supposed to be wookies they just couldn't find enough tall people
If u look at the wall in the first scene and the wall in the star destroyer shot, they look the same
(to me anyway
#CouncilForcecastQnA Have you considered having Matt Wilkins on the show? Would any of you consider doing more non-Force-sensitive like Han Solo, Dash Rendar, Kir Kanos, or Bossk? Favorite E.U. author? Would you consider reviewing the Tie Fighter animated short or the Legacy of the Force fan-film on the show?
Can you guys review the ahsoka novel
with grievous he was skilled. he did kill some jedi and even overpower a counsel master so
Darth Grayson He did beat Kenobi at least once so he wasn't completely incompetent.
I agree on having multiple composers. I want Kiner to help out.
can you do Anakin Skywalker (Revenge of the sith) before turned to the dark side vs Luke skywalker (Return of the jedi) plz
Lord Hoth vs Kyle katarn.... I think that would be a hell of a match up.. I hope you see this.
Good match up...😤 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Imperial Knights vs Mandalorian Knights vs Jensaarai vs Knights of Zakuul
(I already have notes on Vaapad and Trispzest, because they are easy.)
(Excluding unimportant background characters.)
Brenn Tantor Man a lot of theses are good topics. I prefer the one about ignored planets and cliched overuse species.
My answers:
02. MY 3 favorites: 1. Xim & Genoharadan because of the epic time period 2. Prince Xizor and his iconic appearance 3. Tiber Zann as the most badass ...X. honorable mention: Nok Drayen for performance
04. 1. Any lava planets like Sarapin or Taspir III or Sullust or Mustafar, 2. Felucia, 3. Ruusan, 4. Chandrila, 5. Vjun
05. Voss Killik Joiner -> Sith "sorcerer type character" like (dark jedi) Jerec -> Folding-saberstaff Juyo
06. The non-obvious ones would be: Gand force sensitive findsmen and Baran Do sages
26. Orange Red Green
27. Clumsy: Dual & Staff Jedi Academy ; Cool: Dual KotOR, Staff Rebels
28. A new single character who looks and functions like a Shadowtrooper should be introduced!
29. Republic: Gand (tracker) + Kel-Dor (seer) + Voss (commando) + Nikto (morgukai) ; Empire: Anzati (assassin) + Chiss (marksman) + Sith (commando) + Esh-Kha slave (frontline)
32. 1. Shien 2. Ataru 3. Juyo
33. Geonosians FTW! They can fly thus shoot from a vantage point!
39. Twi'lek, Nikto, Togruta, Gran, Wookiee, Weequay, Mon Calamari
Is the age of versus series coming to a slow death?!?!?! Rip r2d2
No, no. I've just been held up by a RIDICULOUSLY busy schedule and some unexpected events in my personal life. I am currently 75% of the way done with my next script.
EvanNova95 great
EvanNova95 is this channel dead
Hey evanova could you do exar Kun vs mace windu?
I'd like to see the Jedi Knight: Dark Forces depicted on a television series.
I don't know anything about lord hoth so I'm sorry if this isn't a good suggestion but Lord Hoth vs Darth Vader
Goddamn! Jensaarai1 has the same idea about a good TV series as I do!
Ancient Sith portrayed like Game of Thrones!!!!!! Awesome!
I had the same idea 1 month after the release of this video, but just now 3 months after it's release I am watching this council debate!!!
The time period should mostly focus on Korriban from:
- the peace before the Rakatan invasion around 28000 BBY,
- through Adas,
- through Xim and later genoharadan,
- two chisms,
- Ajunta Pall and his 11,
- the death of Marka Ragnos,
- 3993 BBY Korriban resettled by the surivors of the Exar Kun War, the formation of Dreshdae settlement,
- perhaps even up to the rise of a hinted Revan.
I really thing Rogue One should treat the Rebel's deaths much like how Halo:Reach has done with Noble team.
it is also could be that ezra i snow using a synth crystal.
Do a video about the "Bring the Old Republic era of Star Wars to Netflix" project
Fulcrum should be Galen Marek! Vader's secret apprentice is moving the scattered rebels into one location for his master to destroy.
eww. I hated that storyline. Every time I play FU or FU2 I just play through the levels and make up a story in my head about what's happening.
I like the concept of after 2 fucking decades Vader makes an Ernest attempt at having an apprentice, even if it got bundled by Sideous knowing.
I even like Galen Marek as a character FOR an apprentice assassin, even if the showy of the powers is a tad odd.
but yes the rebellion being so freaking worthless that HE is the one that finally brings it into a galactic
alliance? frekaing please, especially when all of THEM know each other and he doesn't.
did enjoy the conept of him fighting Rahm Kota, the Old Guy, even Shakk although that should have been him getting defeated Vader showing up in the aftermath and good ol final fight between SHakk and Vader.
and a you FAILED ME thing leading to Galen to questioning his master then betrayal with Sideous then he goes rouge and seeks shelter with.... Yoda, or Obiwan. and then more jedi stuf and then gets dragged into a fight. perhaps for his woman, can even still work at Proxy, and Maris Brood and others! alas.
Darth Marder that would suck
The New Fulcum is Agent Calus!
I agree. Any company that owns a fictional literature it doesn't see the product like the consumers do. I would rather have Disney maintain the past ST Universe and move toward but they are not doing that. At least a true reboot is starting from scratch like in Marvel and DC.
At 1:19:45 there is an Imperial officer on the right side who looks suspisciously like the MCU Tony Stark e.g. Iron Man.
Michael Giacchino is doing the score for Rogue One now.
can u dooku vs darth malik
Honestly, if I could pick anyone else besides John Williams to score the Star Wars films, I would pick Nobuo Uematsu, who scored much of the Final Fantasy series.
"He apperently so into the character of Rey,he doesn't want anyone else to score her scenes."
Wait,Rey had a character?
That's what I thought. She had no arc and could pull force powers out of her ass, feels more like a poorly written fanfiction character to be honest.
Heeyyy agents of shield needs to be appreciated more
I'm a DC fan 😐....TO HELL WITH MARVEL jk 😊 I'll Cheak it out much to my distaste.
+Lenny the Ithorian J.R
oh a DC fan I see
let us go and compare recent movies shall we
Deadpool > Suicide Squad
Civil War > Batman V Superman
Hazama Terumi comics
Civil war 2
I love dark vader so i'm happy he is comming back.

"I do believe in fairies I do" GG Calen
I recall saying this but what was the context? Do you have a timestamp?
Reti4 Antoine was talking about God's will. I didn't have a problem with it, just shitpostin when I rewatch your videos.
you people need to make council forcecast channel
That's what I said at first! Lol
you do really one though
yeah needs to be a thing.
Please do the story of Thrawn
ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING?! Agents of Shield, Daredevil, and now Luke Cage pretty darn good shows. Leastwise compared to anything based of DC.
I think ut would have been better to not show Vader in the trailer but just put that one breathe of him at the end without showing any image.
Evanova loves Bo-katan.
Slap bo katans ass
