Mother of pearl and pave diamond dials are completely handmade and gem set by hand.
Mother of Pearl/ meteorite/ pave diamonds are the only completely hand made dials.
Six or seven dials get broken during each watch creation, insanely labor intensive in the sense of mining the oysters for quality mother of pearl (with no color enhancement - all natural-) and then in addition to mining, the handmade manufacturing process is insanely hard to do. I like that it's rare and not that many are made. I want the one that nobody has.
This timepeice has so much personality. Straight away it's perfectly legible/ silver but at angles where natural light or lights hit the dial it's 40 shades of every color on the rainbow spectrum and not. It's actually insane, Rolex arguably does the best mother of pearl in the watch world.

Fascinating! Loved this video. I’ve never seen the Tahitian dial! 🤩. Are there Tahitian dials available on other “pearl” Rolex models? Like any models that have the white pearl are there dark pearl variants? (Day-Dates, OPs, etc)

In Hong Kong this you can find in a regular grey market dealer asking about 30K USD…. I love this watch but over here everything is available. Sorry today I just saw one for sale asking 20,000usd

I think mother of pearl in a masculine size like 39 mm plus, works great as a men's watch. Diamond bezels are harder to wear for men as they are much much blingier. But this is a home run piece for an exec male.
You are absolutely correct 👌🏻They are a great unsex model .. in fact this one was sold to a gentleman so just goes to show … plus I would happily wear it … don’t know what that means haha

6% seems quite low .. we pay around 28% here if importing ( duties and taxes )
