Hands down nitro is the best at six flags, kingdaka has 10x the wait and lasts for like 15 secs whereas this one has the slow anticipation factor going up the first hill and lasts for a very long time!
Is this true? Roller coasters are my worst fear and don’t like them too much. I got a Six Flags membership hoping to get over it but so far, I get a freight from the dark knight ride
The Roller Coasters are PERFECTLY safe. When I was younger I used to be frightened to death by Roller Coasters. Now I'm a huge fan of them. There's NOTHING to fear. If something bad was going to happen, it wouldn't be in operation. I have a Dining Pass and a Season Pass.
Makes a lot of difference when the restraints are comfortable. You don't want them to be so tight as to be constricting, but also not so loose you feel like you're going to fall out at any moment. If you're not physically comfortable, you're not going to enjoy the ride so much.
This ride literally did not allow me to scream and I have no idea why. I was just making weird moaning sounds throughout when in reality I wanted to scream
LMAOO!! i know exactly what your talking about xD! i did the same thing when i was in dorney park and i was on that high Log roller coaster water ride its the highest ride where u can see all the park and it splashes in the water and my cousin told me not to scream and that moaning sounds came out cuz i wanted to scream so badly Lol i was like "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"
Me being a person *EXTREMELY* scared of Coasters, id have to say NITRO is _THE_ best ride at Six Flags. When I was going up, I passed out like 3 times, but after the very first drop, the ride is pretty much fun from then on. So if anyone wants to break a fear of riding coasters once and for all, id say NITRO would be the ride to end it.
Nitro is my third favorite and thanks to this coaster I now love tall coasters. I only rode it because my brother said it was quite smaller than Superman at SFNE, a ride that I *was* terrified of (until after Nitro, going to SFNE soon just to ride Superman again). The first time I rode it I was pretty nervous on the lift hill and I was on row 2 seat 4 (the only seat I sat in every time) but I found the drop extremely fun and I enjoyed every second of the coaster, even when it was on the brakes near the end. I then rode it 2 more times in a row because the ride just opened and there were no lines, my mom rode it 4 times and my 2nd oldest brother rode it 5 times. I rode it again at the end of the day. Favorite ride in the park. Bizzaro is also great, too.
El toro is so fast I can't help but keep my hands up and slightly pull them down at parts where I feel like I'm going to hit the wood above even though I'm not lol.
I had this weird dream where I was on Nitro, and what happened was weird. Nitro was on the ocean and it derailed. the cars went upside down and kept going. I was one of the 8 survivors on the accident. It felt so real I actually felt the water (no I did not pee). I was shocked that I remembered my dream, usually, I have no Idea what I dreamt. But I've ridden nitro. Hands down, best ride in the park.
When you see the first drop coming there’s nothing you can do but brace yourself, and then when you go down it takes all the wind out of your body and you can’t scream. All you can do is close your eyes and clinch your stomach until the ride is over
I did this yesterday, because my friends pressured me to do a big ride and it was my first time. Here is a short explanation why this ride is defintely the best ride. When you do the first drop it feels like you are dropping out if the car, but it feels so good and the rest is just fun. You only have to make the decision, because nothing is going to happen. ^^
This ride is insane, That drop at over 200 feet is the most intense drop ive ever experienced it feels like it pulls you in then drops. Plus you have a bicycle seat hold you in place while your about to fly out of your seat while feeling zero gs.
I just rode it yesterday after backing out 3 times I went there.. I'm glad I didn't back out this time. It looks intimidating cause its tall, but trust me, its not as bad as it looks. the general feeling is the same with most drops, only this is taller and the drop feels longer but overall its an enjoyable ride. Got to ride it 4 times yesterday.. short lines due to rain and it was a weekday. Once you get over this, everything else feels boring, except El Toro but I got over that too.
This is by far my favorite roller coaster ever!!! As soon as I got off, I turned around and got back in line. It was also the first rollercoaster I ever put my hands up on😂🤷🏻♀️
I used to be terrified of this ride cause of the first drop but after i went on it for the first time i found out the drop is not that bad and its now my favorite ride at SF
Really? El Toro and Kingda Ka were by far more violent than Nitro. Nitro is a fantastic ride, actually greater drop than El Toro but otherwise very smooth and enjoyable. Doesn't toss you like a ragdoll like the other two rides.
There was one time, two years ago, I rode on Nitro, on the front row seat, all because a cirtain kid at my high school dare me to do it and boy was that ride crazy.
+Infinity 58....That is my only issue with that ride. The restraint design. Wouldn't it be better to additionally have seat belts installed as well as double safety? Just in case the stomach bar malfunction and get loose. After all it is man made. Anything is possible. I just think they all should have seat belts as well as double safety.
hands down i thought i would surely fall out of my seat. The thing that scary about this ride is the leg harness...I loved this ride the most! It was sooo great, and it had a lot of hills.
Yosef what is a leg harness? Pretty sure it is called a lap bar and this is used so it lets you be free and not be constricted in a tight and uncomfortable shoulder harness.
Oh update, I went on and although I was nervous as all hell, it was fantastic. After the first drop I was laughing the whole way. Gonna go on it again and again until I am no longer physically able to.
There is no coaster that gets me as anxious as Nitro. The long slow climb up and only having a lap bar just gives me the feeling im going to fly out of my seat.
I'm going on this tommorow and I hate the drop feeling in my stomach. Guess I can't do anything about it. I can take it when the feeling isn't too intense but this seems like it'll be too much.
Hands down thee best ride at six flags nj. The wait isn’t too long, and that drop omg. Plus the ride itself feels like it goes of forever. Every year it remains #1
Yes it was. A friend of mine that lives in Jersey complained about how hard of a stop it was. Plus B&M have been adding them to all of there Hyper Coasters. Easier to maintain and makes for a smoother stop.
Forget all about the front seat. the backseat of nitro is one of the best thrills in the park. do yourself a favor and ride nitro first row and then ride nitro last row. and youll feel the difference.
Ive never been on nitro but i get what your saying, the airtime in the back is wayyy better because while the front is going down and the train is picking up speed again, in the back your Just hitting the bump and get a helluvalot of airtiem
One of my close friends and I went to great adventure when we were both living near there and she dragged me on nitro not once but at least twice in the front row!!! Brought back awesome memories! Thanks!!!

You've clearly never ridden eltoro
John White of course I have, but the long ass lines kill it just as much as Kingda Ka
surprisingly, this ride broke my fear of roller coasters

Very true. Very smooth ride. Unlike that beast el Toro
Jean-Pierre Giraldo just get on it. Hey seem scary at first but they are probably one of the most fun things you can ever do
This ride is perfect its smooth the line isnt usually that long the restraints are comfortable it's just all around perfect

I know that feeling. Its worse on el toro.
Vincent Gambino My friend and I had straight face contests on this ride, El Toro and KingDa Ka.
is it really?! :OOO it doesn't seem like it!!

Right
Batman did that for me.
Nitro has an old school lift hill and LOTS of airtime!! AWESOME RIDE!!

rode it front row this summer! so yeah I've ridden this a lot great ride neck and neck with apollos, which is better by a hair
Am I the only one who holds their hands up on Nitro and laughs like a lunatic while doing so? I do the same on El Toro ;-;
I do that on everything lol
