You missed a very cool area, the Sugar Loaf area, just north of the lookout at the summit. Try to catch it the next time but be aware that the access road usually does not open until into July because of the snow. Also, if you are hiking head up to the area north of the Gap Lakes which are between Medicine Bow Peak and Brown's Peak.
Note when this was posted, November. This was shot in the fall. Any snow you see is what is left after the summer and before the fall, winter, and spring snow storms.
@@nomadicrecovery1586 There are lots of places in Wyoming that are jaw dropping beautiful but there are some areas that have a much more subtle beauty. It can depend on the season of the year and what attracts you. Also, you need to get off the main roads. Both the railroad and I-80 cross the part of Wyoming that will not appeal to most folk. Many Wyomingites like it that way so that people will just move on and not stop or want to stay. We retired to Laramie and love it.
@@georgem7965 It’s funny you say that because when I was in Sundance that’s exactly what a local business owner told me. I’ve been through sections of Wyoming that look like the moon, just like Nevada, very ugly. He said yeah that’s why we like that highway down there people think that’s all it is and they keep moving LOL
