Good to see that someone has already corrected your pronunciation of Dubois… Considering all the info you were covering you did a good job of talking fast but still making it understandable. Even though I’ve lived in Wyoming all my life , I love it and feel very protective about information imparted about it. You did a good job. Thnx.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ve learned a lot from the commenters and try to be as accurate as possible.
Oh darn I corrected him too. It's like Gros Venture. Everyone mess that up too. 😄
Dude boyz
Not "Dew bwa," it is pronounced in Wyoming as "dew boyz." The regions are developed as tourism designations, not actual geographic areas which have something in common regarding topography or climate. Wyoming has some great places but dividing the state up into pie slices, all of which lead to the Yellowstone/Tetons area, is pretty arbitrary.
Thanks so much for the info. I am new to Wyoming myself and trying to learn and then share with others so your info is super helpful. And I totally agree that the 5 region map that the Wyoming Tourism board put out is meant for tourists. As are these fun little videos. I hope you enjoy the entertainment factor as much as we’ve enjoyed putting them together!
@@wynotwyoming6659 To add to that... Its pronounced OR-E-GUN, Oregon hasnt "gone" aywhere. lol
Moving to Cody this June. We can not wait!
You’re going to love it up there !! It’s a great part of the state.
We are moving permanently to Cody in June also!! We've owned our house for a couple of years but with retirement comes full-time Cowboy State living.
@@mattdecker6791 you’ll love it here.
@@PepeInvest We've been spending 14 weeks per year in Cody and working on our home renovation. Two years and $200K later, we can't wait to be there full-time.
WOW - such great information!! Can't wait to come visit you up there!
Thanks so much for commenting! I’m glad you liked it. Come on up!
If ya voted for Joe Biden don't bother.
I am german and still living in Germany, but I would love to move to Wyoming. It has been my dream for years.
Well I sure do hope that you can achieve your dream and join us here in the great state of Wyoming!
Come on down pard you have to like open views with few people small towns excellent hunting top rate fishing but ignorant politics of majority I ignore stupidity
A lot of German ancestry in the state.
I know a little German . . .
I live in the Black/Yellow Region. Specifically, Buffalo, Wyoming. I absolutely love it. Come visit us sometime.
Great to hear that you love it up there. We've been to the occidental. What is another great place to stay when we come back?
@@wynotwyoming6659 Don’t know whether you camp or not, but camping here in the Big Horn Mountains is great in the summer and fall. Didn’t mention spring because it can be kind of muddy. Nice thing is you’re still not far from Buffalo if you run out of anything and need to go back to town. The drive up Crazy Woman Canyon is beautiful as is the drive over the mountain from Buffalo to Ten Sleep. As far as places to stay, we’ve never stayed anywhere here but home and the mountain. There are motels but we’ve never needed one.
So do I. Live in Buffalo. 41 years I have.
Holy cow ... that was a history lesson in itself! Thanks for the information!
Thanks for the kind comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Feel free to share it out to all your friends!
Thank you for your informative videos. I’m from England and my dream is to move to Wyoming. It has everything I ever dreamed of. It’s perfect. Unfortunately, my budget won’t allow it….yet, but I’m going to manifest it. Beautiful state.
Thank you for those kind words! I hope that you make it here one day and we can meet.
@@wynotwyoming6659 absolutely. That would be lovely.
I miss Wyoming quite a bit. Best state in the US!
It’s never too late to come back to your favorite state. It’s growing and prospering, we would love to have you back!
I agree best state.
Having lived in Worland and Powell I am surprised you skipped Cody on your Park to Park region, since I am assuming the second Park refers to Park County.
I heard Worland has the least wind of all of Wyoming. Is that true and how much average inches of snow per year?
Thanks for this fun video. I always supposed Wyoming was gorgeous, but never saw any real travelogues untill now... (I'm writing this as I pack)! (😁).
So thanks again!
Never been intrigued about Wyoming much before this vid. Very interesting yet small state.
I’m glad I’ve got you intrigued. 😆 the state is actually huge. But I’ll give it to you that Wyoming is the least populated state in the Union. Come for a visit sometime.
Taoren, you must be in Alaska! 😀
Small state 😂
@@wyomingadventures small state means small population usually, not talking about landmass
@@Batnoodles 👍
I am from Rock Springs in the south west on the border of Colorado and Utah. I am familiar with the whole state and have been to many of the places listed.
If you can appreciate creation and the nature of its existence then Wyoming is beautiful as are all the states in my opinion uniquely their own.
It gets very cold and windy throughout the state and the Flaming Gorge which is aapart of my home town area is amazing on both sides of the pass.
Great work with that first comment very professional for it was not necessary! I could sware i heard tou reference each area by its recreational use not topographical, but ehhh... Im just another guy😂
No mention of the red desert? Crazy
I knew it you're a realtor. Ok if you want to just visit Wyoming but its different if you live here. As i have for 41 years. Do Boyz. I know that towns pronouncing messes up everyone. But nice job telling everyone the best places to visit Wyoming. I live in Buffalo. The Occidental is amazing. Did you know we had a railroad through Buffalo way back in the day. Just on the east side of town here. 😊
We've always called Independence Rock, Register Cliff
I did not know that! Thanks for sharing! Now I’ll call it that too!
5:24 I am sure that is a not a Big Horn sheep.
Well unfortunately that’s not the worst faux pas. I just found out that my adventures in the area did not give me the correct pronunciation of Dubois. So if you are heading up that way don’t make my mistake. It is pronounced Duboys in an effort to piss off the people that made them name it that. So now we both know.
Having been through a few of these regions, I can testify that they really are *awesome!*
So ... Wynot WY?
Love this!!!! Thanks so much for the comment!
I am guessing you are not originally from Wyoming as Dubois is pronounced much differently than you mentioned it. Forget the French way. That pronunciation was deliberately butchered by the locals as it was not the name chosen by the settlers of that area but the last name of the Idaho politician who made them use his name for the post office. Think Duboyz.
You are correct that I am new to Wyoming. My wife is the native and I should definitely do a better job of getting her input. Typical guy I guess! Lol! Thanks so much for letting me know and for watching my video. Other than that error I hope you enjoyed it and the rest of my videos as well.
I live in Lander for 52 years love it. Except to many liberals moving here
Starts at expensive a goes to completely unreal.
Poor job. Those are big horn sheep? I don't think you are from Wyoming. Trying to tie everything to Yellowstone is a mistake.
Hi Kent, you are correct, I’m not. I mention in a bunch of videos that this series is me learning about the state in real time during those first years I lived here. I love to learn more so please feel free to educate me and all of us about our great state. Also, these videos were a direct response to the 2018 Wyoming visitors guide explaining the 5 regions of Wyoming and steering the article to Yellowstone. I feel like the visitors guide was a pretty good authority on what things to visit.
You need to learn how to pronounce some of the towns
