I've been daily commuting on my 2005 R6 for 3 years now, even in the Winter. The bike is incredible.
Lol try drive it in summer 38 degrees celcius! R3 is already hot in just 28’c

Amazing bike. But try riding it in the Caribbean 35 degrees c I swear my legs an balls gets cooked within 30 mins of riding. Especially when those fans kick in an sends the heat on my legs.

I have an 07 r6 right now I’ve had it for 3 months. Best bike I’ve ever had. The torque down low is obviously low compared to the power band. Still 45-50 hp is what new 300s-400s make peak power. The occasional rip into the power band makes up for all the putsing around. She’s a face melter and don’t get me started on the sound
Im planning to buy a bike but i don’t know what to buy yamaha r6 2008 or yamaha r3 2020,what is your opinion?
@@kelvzalvaira5572 I'd personally say get the r3 if you feel like you won't be a responsible rider on the r6 (if it's your first bike). If you've had prior experience, I'd say go for the r6. Whatever you choose, I hope you're safe (:
@@kelvzalvaira5572 get a fz6n. same engine as the r6 exept they are slightly detuned and i think they got a little more low end torque to. 99hp is plenty enough to have fun. bought mine 2weeks ago. love the bike. don't ever get a 300cc sport bike not worth it. att that level you are better of with a street fighter or just a adventure bike. but i recomend street fighter. thats the closest you can get to sport bike + it's comfortable AF.
The sound frequency ..i just think there will be a lot of chap out there that buy an r-sick purely for it's racing wickedly blissful exhaust note..

What he said isn't always true I just bought a 2020 R6 about 2 weeks ago have already put a full leo vincè exhaust system on it and am thinking about getting new fairings that are all matte black or gunmetal I'm not painting it but same concept
I had the Previous generation R6 and it wasn't very good on the streets, but god does that motor sound great. This generation had even more aggressive ergos so I can only imagine lol.
I live in San Diego this is my favorite bike especially in the canyons

I like the matte grey and black color scheme. But this one isn't too shabby either.

I've had an r6 and it killed my wrist and back over time , it's a nice bike but not for city riding or a long ride either, i ended up with ninja 650r and while not powerfull it's so much more comfortable

just picked up mine last week for 3.8 with 30k miles rode it back 6 hours to nyc with no experience on a bike. In the city it really isnt thay bad cause it tends to stay under 8k rpm which is pretty much enough for the city
@One plus Two still running like a dream! Just took it out last week. Got it back a little over a month ago from the shop. Done a MJS header and hotbodies megaphone slipon- pretty much straight piped asssfffffuccck with Power commander 5 too. Sadly no parts for sale. I need a new side fairings though....
It's a 'ripper', an outstandingly fun and competent toy that's great for Sunday morning rides in the twisty's or as a track bike.
As a road bike or commuter?? Sadists need only apply...(small, terrible real world ergos, no torque below 7K rpm, and rather thirsty on fuel.

I have R6 from 2000 and it's great and it's enough for me completely. But ... I saw Yamaha Stratoliner in your movie and it will be the next motorcycle when I want to change the R6 for something else. And it will be SRK's fault ;)

By the way that’s not a 08 r6. It’s a 06-07 r6. You can tell by the handle bars/ cluster.

My 2004 yamaha FZ6 acts the same from a start.
At a red light I have to rev pretty high to get it moving.
No torque lol. Had a '05 fz6 and that thing didn't start making any power til up top.

I've had 3 600rrs. I love the bikes and got used the SS riding position. I am considering trying an R6 first but my main concern is that extra aggressive riding position.
I've sat on both back to back and the 600rr felt more comfortable, but could that just be because I have had 3 of them?
While I think the 600rr looks better personally, I'm finding it hard to justify buying another one which is why I am looking into an R6
R6 is the best looking 600cc bike.
Still same story about low torque 600ccm.People just don't understand 15000+ rpms . That's the whole story.Pure and unique joy of high rev maschine. It feels like you riding a bullet. 1000ccm is teleportation.
all 600's should be kept in the upper rpm range or go up one tooth on front sprocket but even in town I keep my 05 around 6 to 8 thousand

To be fair, this is most roads in ohio and many other midwestern and east coast states
I completely changed my r6 different exhaust more fuel gearing Dyno tuning and it's a much better bike

I've noticed the same my 2004 r6 doesnt wake up until about 7-8000 I'll stop at light get into first. , hit the throttle then .... , ..... , ...... okay we are going. What can I do to improve this
Not much. Thats how the engine is designed but you can try changing the final drive ratio.
nothing, if you still want a 600cc then get a cbr or a zx6r has better midrange power espesially with the 636 motor in the zx6r. But if you never track as in going to the track the bike at least a few times a season get a 650 of some sort. power is everywhere in the rev range and still blasts through twisty roads (as much as you should on a public road) with arguably as much ease at the cost of only being able to top out around 130 mph instead of 160.

CBR600RR is an excellent choice for a more balanced power band between all the RPM. Granted, it doesn't have any real power until 5k and it wakes up at 8k... but its still much more fun and usable in city driving!!
I got a 06 cbr600rr and I just bought an r6 and gettin off the cbr over to the r6 is so much better, most comfortable bike I've rode is a gsxr. Cbr is awful

bro ..dont. its not worth it. if you start on a high cc (yes 600 is high)..you wont be be to actually learn the whole riding stuff..itll take you way long to get the basic ..and you can do some stuff with riding modes...but the r6 is a shit bike for that..youll end up riding like a menace...just get a 650 or a 400
honestly , I would say ride to your ability , not advice but i recently started out on a 600 a month ago and I am doing fine .

They all have the same engine so if you dont care just get an r6s fuel injected, preferably the 2004? Model+ with inverted forks, you'll pay way less

the r6 is actually on the taller side in terms of seat height for sport bikes
I’m 6’2. Feels a little cramped for me on my 5sl. Gives me some awful aches but Jesus Christ the power and sound is something else haha
My dad had a special edition cbr, it was purple, yellow and black, he painted the motorcycle because he hated the color! What a waste of money! It was so beautiful!

Most motorcycles are off from the factory as it is. My R1 was 7% off and it’s bone stock. I have a speedo healer on it now because i got tired of trying to guess how fast I was really going. A speedo healer is a good thing to get even for a stock bike but Shawn is correct. Changing sprockets will throw it off even further.

Tyler Fabish I had an 09 zx6r and currently an 09 r6, the zx6r gonna be a lot more comfortable and smoother for daily street riding. r6 is more aggressive but the low end power is terrible in my opinion
