I’ve just bought one of these to throw in the car for when I’m on the move. Great tone and nice looking but out of the box was virtually unplayable due to high action. Once sorted should be fine.
Didn’t sound tiny to me. Surprised at how full it sounded compared to some I tried. What did you think of the sound from the video? There was no EQ or any audio editing, just raw guitar tone.
Question: the flat strings you put on - are those also 13-56 gauge like the original strings? I own the same guitar (really enjoying it) and was thinking about swapping strings (and maybe even going lighter gauge).
They are the D'Addario Flat Top 13-56. I don't think this guitar would do well with lighter strings. The scale length is so short they might just flop around.
Good playing. I have this same guitar & i love it & me too, was surprised by how it sounds & plays for a mini. It blew me away.
very sweet sounding, and lovely lookin', guitar .. . thanks as always for the demo and sharing your story, david!
excellent demo showing the versatility of that MiniGS
Thank you!
a flight attendant who appreciates guitarists. nice. I have a gs mini mahogany and an orangewood Oliver jr. mahogany and enjoy playing both.
Man that sounds good! Think I'm finally going to pick up a new GS Mini. Plus, its the anniversary edition haha.
The strings really work in softening the tone, sounding great!
I wonder between GS mini Koa and Rosewood 50th
Which one for me?
I love them both
How do you find the pickup? Would love to hear a sample di recording.

That’s too bad. Where did you get it from? Hopefully it’s a quick fix for you, and you can start to enjoy it.
Purchased from Andertons music UK but it was factory sealed. Yes will be easily sorted with a good set up.
I gave you a like once you stopped talking and played the guitar. Sounds great. You are very good at playing.
Wow! Great playing! Appreciate all the great tunes!
How's the bass end? Is this as tinny as most Taylors?
Thanks again , really enjoyed!

What did the action measure out of the box? Just ordered mine.
It was right about 5/64 in the low E. Not bad, but I’ve heard it can be hit or miss.
Maple? It looks like Rosewood???
If I said maple I was incorrect. This is rosewood laminate. I just reviewed a laminate maple guitar a couple days prior to this lol
Flat top strings? Which side is flat and how do you orientate it 360 degree's it would take a years to restring a guitar

Rosewood back and sides not maple! Usually Taylor's come with Elixir. And it's out of tune.
I thought it was rosewood back?
It is. I mentioned below that I had just reviewed a maple backed guitar the day before
It’s laminate rosewood, not maple. Not that it really matters.
