D2 released an album of cover in the late 90s called Thank You. It was panned by "critics," but I love it. Perfect Day is one of my all time songs, whether Lou Reed or D2! They've worked this into some live performances this year. DuranFan4Lyfe.

One thing Duran Duran has never had trouble with it is garnering the respect of other musicians and artists. They have worked with a varied number of producers and artists for two main reasons. First, they have served as an inspiration for many people who consider it an honor to collaborate with them and second, because they constantly keep a finger on the pulse of more recent or modern music. They know exactly who is creating what, and they themselves still get inspired by what is new and exciting in the music world. I find it so ironic that in all the years they were slammed and considered just pretty faces with no talent, they were constantly alligning themselves with some of the best talent out there. John particularly loves to smooze and meet other people in the industry to set up collaborations. A View To A Kill and their entire relationship with Nile Rodgers probably wouldn't exist if it were not for JT. 😂

They play this during their tour and fans are getting tired of it BUT I have to admit, it is so fun live! They blow the roof off with this one because you can’t help but get into it.
"Fans" are getting tired of it? I've never encountered "fans" getting tired of this song. In fact, from the shows I've gone to, it gets the crowd going. This song is one of their staples of their shows despite being a cover & has been since the mid-90s.

In addition, as I have said since going to Duran Duran shows (for each album since Seven and the Ragged Tiger) when White Lines is played, the crowd becomes energized & even more lively during this song. You can see the vibrancy in the audience when they play this song live. You can see it on the live performances on UA-cam. Therefore, a few people who you see not wanting to hear White Lines live is a small minority. It would take the thousands who are at the shows appreciating the song being played to state otherwise for it to even begin to matter.
