Scamming a Scammer with a Scamming skills got from a scammer using his scammiest scam that had scammed a scammer with scamming skill! Scamming a scammer that scams people! (Not clickbait!!)
i dont understand why most of the nigerians in this comment section find the idea of pretending to be someone and scamming elderly people out of their retirement money funny.
It's funny because these scams are so dumb, yet people are still falling for them. 😂😂 I'm Nigerian. Over here No one can fall for these kind of scams. P.S I don't support scamming
I spent a few years working in walmart customer service, and sadly, people fall for these *constantly*. Walmart has tons of rules in place to stop scammers like these, and so their requests are constantly evolving (that's why they wanted you to get 5 x $100 instead of just a single $500 card).
I worked management CVS for awhile and we had the exact same problem. An entire module of our training was looking out for these scams, and I'd catch about one per week on average. The most common one at the time was someone impersonating ebay to tell them that they'd won a car that they hadn't bid on, and to send the numbers off of ebay gift cards. I taught many "boomers" how email addresses are formatted and how ebay actually works during that time.
@@SamGarrett work at Walmart and can confirm. We now are told to ask people if they know the person they're getting the gift cards for of they buy large quantities or even more than one. Especially if they're elderly.
I worked in banking. Sooo many people get cash app, venmo, paypal, instant transfers. Then when the victim realizes what has happened ..the bank can do nothing. Money is gone. I am so thankful to God that I got some education on this stuff first hand.
Back when I was a college instructor in the IT field, I used to give a free seminar about how to spot scams like this. We had a lot of older folks attend. I would reach into my briefcase and pull out $85,000 worth of checks and money orders, then pass them out for the class to inspect. The five money orders were the most impressive, they did look realistic. I explained how I collected them and then went through the rest of the lecture on how to spot the scams. I know several older folks who also became "scam check" collectors. The nice thing is that sometimes I would get checks from a Texas bank with stamps from Africa, so I gave the stamps to my kids for their collection.
Great video! This is what I always do....and then I told my friend John about my silliness and John said - Same here!....it seems that many of us have been doing this - for the last twenty years! It's insane that people are still falling for this!!!!!
I have gotten several of these messages on FB messenger from some of my older "friends". I have fun with them. I messaged one of them for almost 2 hours talking about random things. One asked me to call their agent, and I said, "I'll call as soon as I get out of surgery. I'm in the hospital right now having my vestigial tail removed." They said, "Oh, ok, but don't delay." I also used the same trick of asking how things were in some random town, and they fell for that too. It can be fun messing with them, and like you say, its nice to know you're wasting their time.
Someone contacted me impersonating my aunt. I asked about their Vegas trip and told them to keep my uncle off the tables. I had that scammer going in circles.
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 I’ll do that next time. One scammer hit a bad nerve with me. They impersonated a friend of mine who’s passed away a few years prior to then, and I called them out on it. They kept going on about the grant but abandoned it when I kept pressing, then blocked me.

I just sent this to a guy who talked me into sending him about 65 dollars who lives in Africa. I told him he should send you a picture. I will never send money to people I meet on the internet again. I learned my lesson. You're doing good work, educating people to be cautious about scams. There are people who are truly in need though, we just need to be discerning about who we help.

Great fun to be had with these guys. What worked for me was to be "employed" as a "labourer", and keep hinting at some much better opportunity you have and never let them on to what it is! Add BS when they start asking for personal info. The scammers kept increasing in (vocal) tone until it got to the supervisor, who was yelling at the end, but too polite to call me a loser! I'm still happy to be a labourer with an opportunity! Cheers from NZ!

It's funny because these scams are so dumb, yet people are still falling for them. 😂😂

Wow, I love how kind you were with your official offer at the end! Anyone take you up on it yet?
I worked at McDonald's and i cook people.
for fun, i give them 100s of made-up cards and imagine their disappoitmet.
@Guy Anthony De Marco - That sounds like a fun hobby, collecting scam checks and money orders.
He forreal said “scammer gets scammed”
I keep watching this video all week. I think this is the best video yet. I wonder how Larry is doing though in Boise 😂.
