Joel Webster thank you for your comment. Yes to both. We will be closing in our pump and batteries as well as insulating. We had snow and sub zero weather 2 weeks ago just as we finished the water system, but we drained the pipes prior to the freezing. It’s warmer now and doing well.
At the moment we turn off the water and go back to a jug. Here we only get about many a week or two of below freezing temperatures. I am hoping to insulate the pump and the little amount of exposed piping.

Are you closing in / insulating your pump and such? I know the winters there are nothing comparatively, but there must still be risk of freezing?
