Bodybuilding is a MUCH different sport to strongman. They want to gain mass. Hall wants to lift the heaviest & most awkward possible things he can. He's gotta be coordinated, strong, and mobile.

Eddie's very mobile and athletic for his size, his abs are huge from his strongman training
Those big time strongmen are surprisingly mobile and athletic for their massive size, as it's part of their style of competition, vs bodybuilders just getting massive. It's very impressive.
part of strongman is being agile and athletic. if you watch wsm, you'll know. and building those abs is part of strongman. eddie has never done any ab crunches or anything to build those abs specifically, those abs get build doing heavy heavy squats, deadlifts. these are some real abs.

Many people don’t realize how athletic and explosive guys of this ilk are. They may not be on par with your average gymnast but their pretty damn amazing.
Yeah. I was very impressed by how athletic he was! Full respect! Just like fully armoured knights of old are thought of as very slow and cumbersome under all that armour weight but in reality, they were shockingly agile.
As a weightlifter I can confirm we do helluva lot athletic training. Jumping, body weight exercises, sprinting, floor exercise. Some of us can do a flip out of the cold and most of us are unbelievably fast, despite being rather heavy set/bulky.

Eddy is 175 kg and Nile about 60 kg so it's not quite 3x but close enough. Even Thor with his 206kg is 34kg of 4x Niles weight.

@@thomasgoldthorpe1158 when bodybuilding at the scale he is, muscle can really limit your range of motion. a good example is the video that went viral of a bodybuilder about his size unable to reach a sticker on his back because of his limited range in motion and flexibility. a regular person who is in generally good shape probably has a better range of motion than him.

2 Things.
1: I love how Eddie just disappears in the pit when he jumps in there.
2: When he did the first backflip, at the moment where his feet would have touched the ground (if there were any) Eddie raised his fists up like he was doing some Mortal Kombat type shit, getting back in fighting in stance after doing a backflip in combat. That made my day.

even though muscle is heavy, it works like a motor so it more then makes up for it's weight in motor capabilities.
he used to be a swimmer, and he was a really good swimmer too. He still is, just it isn't his main thing now.
In general, when you are the best in the world in one sport, you don't suck at any sport.
