Hello from the UK. I really enjoyed this tutorial and am going to keep an eye out for all of them. I've made some Christmas flowers in patterned and plain paper. I'm normally useless but your directions were so clear I didn't do a bad job at all.
Thank You so much! I have been making simple teabag folds for 20 yrs. But you have made my eyes open much more to teabag folding. Also origami pattern have become simple. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!
Hello! Thank you! Teabag folding is one of my favorite paper crafts! I'm so glad that you like the origami projects too! It is such a wonderful art and so much fun!
Hello! I printed out the designs for the example on regular printer paper (designs are available for sale on my website, link in description box), though I would recommend acid free paper if you would like to keep the ornament for a long period of time (acid free paper won't yellow with age). Any paper that is a similar weight and texture to printer paper will work well for this project. HTH!
The tape used here is called x-press it (I purchased it here in Australia). To be honest, double sided scotch tape would probably work better. The only reservation I have is I'm not sure if the scotch brand one is acid free (if you plan on keeping the ornament for a long time)? If not, any acid free double sided tape would work just as well, or use a single sided tape (regular cellophane tape or washi tape) to create the petals and then glue them to the circle. Thank you!
Great video! I popped over here to ask about double-sided tape recommendations, because I'm using Scotch double-sided tape and it's not working well at all. But I see you got yours in Australia, which is problematic since I live in Washington State. Haha. Oh well! Maybe I'll try scrapbooking double-sided tape next. Or maybe masking tape. Thanks anyhow!
Hello, TFW! I'm guessing, but I think scrapbooking double-sided tape will probably be the closest thing to what I used, plus the acid-free aspect of it means it will last from year to year. You make a good point with masking tape as well, it is fairly sticky, but easy to work with too, or you could even use washi tape (depending on the level of stickiness!). I would love to see your finished ornament(s), too! The link to the FB page is above if you would be interested in sharing a photo of them!
Hello! Thank you! I'm not sure what you mean by 2 paper star ornament? Poll Winner: Star Ornament Instructions I have this tutorial for a star ornament using 2 squares of paper? Is that what you mean?
hello my name is Ruby I would like to know if you could do that without but make it a bit bigger like a for a wall like on some campuses and would you have to use different sizes to get to the middle class will be different sizes have you ever tried it with felt
I love how 3D this is! The paper is beautiful too and really stands out once all the parts are put together.
