I found this pin 2 years ago. And we started too late to finish by Christmas. My wife and I also were winging it off the original instructions. My wife and I ended up wanting to GO ALL OUT on this ornament so we put a layer of sparkle mod podge on Each paper before cutting to give it that "Christmas sparkle". I wish we used the double sided paper and the circles. What we did was bought tassel trim and removed the tassels from it. We threaded ribbon to the tassel and hot glued it through each layer until complete. We then topped the ornament with a glass bead from a Christmas strand of green red and clear. A lot of work on a simple ornament, however it did come out nice. 2 years later we Are completing our goal we did a test run on one last night. Searched for a tutorial and you changed the game completely. I love what you added to be user friendly. Thank you.
an easy way to make the accordion folds into the rosette circle if you have difficulty using your hands is to use a mason jar lid. just the outside portion of it not the inside. you can put the Rosette in there and then glue it. it also allows you to arrange the folds so that they are all even. I have arthritic hands and this seems to work really well for me. you can also use any jar lid with deep sides for any size rosette which might help with some of the smaller rosettes.
I have a suggestion when you do your accorden folds before you lay it flat glue the ends together that way its easier to lay out. My friends & I made oranaments like those but we hot glued the ends together.
I think these would be super cute instead of making them more ball shaped to make them tree shaped maybe make the bottom a little wider then have three or four layers getting smaller and maybe would be cute teacher gifts. my daughter is in preschool and I would like to give the teachers something so everything I find I'm like how can I possibly make this a teacher gift lol thanks for the wonderful tutorial!!
That is very pretty! I am sorry I have missed the last few periscopes. Between work and taking care of my bff who broke her back, I never seem to have any spare time.
it is now 2018 and i love this :) my mom,my brother and his family and me are going to make some of theese together and also some of the other christmas ornaments you have been showing up til this year, pluss some of the norwegian kind of ornaments. i cant wait-it will be family fun :) Thank you :)
ohh my goodness this is great i must try it. I'm not on periscope but would love to see the recording of the cards you made with that paper pad. did you share it on here or fb?
How cute! This weekend, all the women in my family (HUGE FAMILY) are getting together for what we call "Soup Day". We have several different homemade soups, and desserts of course lol. We're playing dirty Santa with homemade ornaments. I have mine ready to roll, but this would be cute and quick for me to make enough for everyone to have one to take home! I only need maybe 25 to 30! tfs Genine :)

Love this. Adorable. Great project to do with kids.
Thanks for the tutorial. I made one today and it turned out pretty decent. Takes a little practice, I recommend trying first on plain paper.
Thanks !! You covered a couple of points that I didn't understand on the pin!!!! It turned out great!!!!
very cute..this is something my girls would love to make
This is definitely on my list to put with gifts or hand out. Easy and fun. I have a lot of double sided paper. TYFS. Hugs!
I really enjoy your tutorials. Easy to understand. Thanks
Love your tutorial. Great to point out the differences from the pin! Great job making a bunch to embellish my package tags thanks
You are such a great teacher!!
If you leave the middle of the smallest one empty of glue until you put the ribbon in, you can fill the middle with glue then push in the knot.
What a pretty and clever project. Thank you. I put your video on Pintrest.
