Origami Twist is on Instagram! - @origamitwist
So, you've tried traditional origami models and you want something a bit different? How about a bit of modular origami with a twist! This model is made out of 12 origami petals that are then glued together in such a way to make a gorgeous Christmas ornament. This would be the perfect project to make for a friend for a Christmas present or maybe a gift for Mother's Day? You could use pastel colors for the petals and Mom could hang it in her kitchen window and think of you every time she sees it! You could make a bunch of them and then sell them at a craft fair to earn a little spending money! The possibilities are endless! If you love the look of paper flowers and want something new to try, this is the paper folding project for you. It may not be traditional origami, but it is a lot of fun and well worth doing! I hope you enjoy it!

PS - This would also make a gorgeous wedding favor too! There is a bit of time involved, but how gorgeous would they look on the table at a winter wedding?
I honestly struggled way more with the glue part than with the folding part. Thank you for the tutorial, it looks really pretty!
Thank so so much for this clear tutorial. I am going to practice with some larger squares using scrap computer print outs - and then I am going to town with these - my granddaughter wants a bunch of garlands of teabag folded flowers for her new bedroom!
You're welcome! Great idea to practice with larger squares! I have made garlands from these, they are fabulous! Your granddaughter will love them!!! :)
I will have to try it, and see how I do on it. It looks great, and It is something I can get done for nest year, for I run out of time trying to make show flakes this year. And this one looks great. Thanks
You are awesome! I love making the items in your tutorials. I have made several of your "snowflake" ornaments and they are just beautiful when they are done. Thank you for all of your great items.
Hi Jenn ty so much for the tutorials ,I started this last year and love it I've tried all your designs ,some of them are harder than others but I keep doing it and so enjoy seeing the outcome .
Hi Heather! Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it! That's fantastic, particularly that you are enjoying seeing the outcome. I love that part too!
Hi Jenn, I've tried out the flower ornament, satisfied with the result. The hard part was getting both the pieces glued together. I've sent pics to you... FB page. Thanks for the tutorial.
