    Sounds like it could be a sweetspot for me as i don't have a lot of altitude on my home trails, i need to just pedal pretty flat trails to ride a few fun short downhill spots. Then sometimes i go to bikeparks and ride the more natural enduro type tracks. I have an old v4 27.5 now and i feel like most new endurobikes would be overkill for the most part.

      Ya, I think it would work super well for you. It’s a lot more playful and pedals so much better than the V4, but I feel like it still soaks up big hits better than the V4. Great trail bike that can still do laps at the bike park and be totally comfortable on bigger steeper terrain.

    Hi
    Does it creak?

      @Cortscrawling 16 днів тому

      It was creaking super bad until I put in the washer kit provided by Commencal.

    Another quick question - have you found you have rubbed your calves/legs as you peddle, on the super wide back end?

    • @havenoutdoors584
      @havenoutdoors584  4 місяці тому

      I haven’t bumped them on this bike. I had an older TR and rose an older V3 Meta that my calves rubbed on once in a while.

    Considering what it was you said you were looking for in a mountain bike, it seems like the Meta TR would have been better choice than the V5 since the V5 is designed for their World Enduro Championship team, those wheels look dope AF though👍🏽

      The Forge and Bond Wheels are amazing! I had a meta-TR before and that bike actually rides more like an Enduro bike. It’s more of a smash through everything bike even though it has less travel it feels a lot different. The Meta V5 is more efficient and more playful than the TR but does have a more of a bottomless feel when things do get rowdy. I think the V5 is a faster bike than the TR though. And in an Enduro race I’d pick the V5 over the TR for sure. I haven’t ridden the SX yet but it seems like the more Plow through stuff and more of a planted bike than the V5 from what I have heard.

      @@havenoutdoors584great input! Been looking the TR and the V5 as my next bike. I am a beginner and I want a playful bike to learn. The idea is a One Bike set up.

      @@havenoutdoors584great reply! Thanks. And now can you compare the V5 with the TEMPO?

    • @havenoutdoors584
      @havenoutdoors584  3 місяці тому +1

      @@martinlegui1000 V5 is more of an all mountain bike than the Tempo. Tempo is more trail bike. Tempo is more playful than the V5 and is quicker on the uphill and on more fun on flowy and flatter terrain. The Tempo is super easy to pump and gain speed. If you’re not riding any steep, gnarly trails with bigger drops then the Tempo is the bike for you.

    Bonjour comment le compares tu Au Tempo, montée, descente, fun... Merci

    • @havenoutdoors584
      @havenoutdoors584  4 місяці тому

      Le Tempo monte plus vite avec plus d'énergie et de rapidité et la descente sur le tempo est plus ludique et précise. Le tempo semble beaucoup plus léger à la montée comme à la descente.

      Du coup pour résumé le tempo est meilleur à la monté et à la descente ? Le v5 est moins bon

      The top build is $5900 at Commencal USA now. This build was all custom and I’m guessing it would cost around 7k if you were to buy each part individually?

    Anything on the frame flex? In Pinkbike review of the SX they mentioned it. Some liked it and some thought little too much flex.
    Did you feel anything unusual in flex from other bikes ridden in the past?
    You’re a big guy, if you say the bike climbs well I believe you. Nice work on the Analog 💪

    • @havenoutdoors584
      @havenoutdoors584  6 місяців тому +1

      I haven’t noticed a lot of flexing in the frame actually. It does have somewhat of a softer feel to it though of that makes sense. So maybe it is flexing a bit but not where I can actually feel movement. I’ve ridden other bikes that flex and you can noticeably feel the frame move. I guess I would say the amount of flex this has just makes the bike comfortable to me. I feels like it’s got a. It more flex than my Ripmo AF but compared to a V1 Revel Ranger it’s super stiff. The rear end of my Ranger was like a noodle.

      You definitely feel the flex, it makes the riding feel softer and I don’t necessarily see it a negative thing. Depends on rider I guess. However, the issue I am having is how noisy it is. I went as far as upgrading to ceramic bearings to avoid the creaks but I still hear creaking. It’s a fairly new new and I really take care of my bikes and this bike sounds like it’s been abused lol. Not sure what happened with the QC of commencal but they really need to figure something out on the creaks . Overall, bike feels great on climbs and descents but that creaking is honestly getting exhausting and this may be my last bike from Commencal. Hope this helps anyone that’s interested in the bike!

    • @havenoutdoors584
      @havenoutdoors584  6 місяців тому

      @@JeepinIvan_MTB FYI, I had horrible creaking as well. You need to contact Commencal and ask them to send you a washer kit. There were tolerance issues on this and the SX frames. Not sure why Commencal isn’t being proactive and reaching out to all who purchased these bikes? Once the washer kit is installed the bike is dead quiet! I had meant to add this to my review but didn’t end up going back and putting it in.
