    In this Punjab India travel vlog, I make it to Amritsar! I stayed at a great hostel in Amritsar which I did both the food tour from this video as well as the Wagah border tour with them and definitely recommend both: www.booking.com/hotel/in/nati...
    I started my first day in Amritsar by heading to the Golden Temple with two friends I made at the hostel the night before. We arrived at the temple, checked in our shoes, washed our hands and feet, and got head coverings. We then headed in to see the gorgeous temple! We didn't think we'd have time to go inside the inner part of the temple as the line is often really long, but we ended up making it inside - definitely worth it!!
    After seeing the inside of the temple, we made our way over to Langar Hall which is the world's largest free community kitchen! They free anyone and everyone, 24/7 completely for free! It's also run by volunteers. Anyone can join in and help them make food, do the dishes, etc. It was amazing to see! We joined in to try the meal and then tour the kitchen area.
    After the Golden Temple, I went to join some other hostel friends on an Amritsar Food Tour! We stopped at 6 different places for food and got to try
    Bhalla Papdi, Paneer Bhurji, Gajar Halva, and my first Amritsar Lassi. We then took an auto away from the Golden Temple so we could try some meat dishes. First we went to the Beera Chicken House for their famous seasoned chicken and goat mutton. Next we went to Makhan Restaurant to try the most amazing Amritsari fried fish! It was soo good!! After that we went to the award winning Charming Chicken for some Butter Chicken. It was so much fun to be able to try all the food with everyone from the hostel as I am NOT a foodie at all ‎😅 but Amritsar is a foodie heaven so I'm happy I tried! After the food tour ended I went back to the Golden Temple again to see it at night. It looked amazing with the lights on and the reflection in the water!

    Hi , loved your vlog ❤. Just wanted to provide some additional information about Golden Temple , you know it has 4 main doors so that any human being irrespective of caste , colour , religion , social status can come and visit basically it symbolizes equality. Same goes with sitting on the ground and eating in the langar hall . One more thing , you might have observed that while entering the main premises of golden temple you have to get down the stairs it symbolises that one must be humble and lose the ego to reach god.

      All these pieces that you mentioned are merely becoming symbols day by day as Sikhism is terribly plagued by racism at the moment. Yes, what you mentioned was the original meaning behind the 4 doors and Langar. However, a lot of the sikhs are blinded by religion currently and fail to look at humanity which goes beyond caste, colour, religion, social status etc. No offense meant. Thanks

    Places to eat at in Mumbai:
    *1. Elco Pani puri - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* -
    One of the best Pani puris in town. Very clean & hygienic. They use bottled mineral water to make these. So very safe to eat Pani Puris at this place.
    *2. Sardar Pav Bhaaji - (area - Tardeo in Mumbai)* -
    The best and the most buttery Paav Bhaaji on Planet Earth.
    *3. Bade Miyan - Late night place - is open till 3 am or so (area - near Taj hotel & the Gate way of India in Mumbai)*
    A late night place, patrons eat in their cars, but has a seating area as well. Famous for their wraps, Tikkas, Tandooris & barbecued stuff.
    *4. Leopold Cafe (area - Colaba causeway in Mumbai)* - Nice beer, barbecues, nice desserts.
    *5. Pancham Puriwala - (area - fort in Mumbai)* - 5 types of puris(bread), savory dishes & desserts.
    *6. Persian Darbar - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)*
    Famous for their Raan Biryani. Delicious Mughlai cuisine. You'll love it.
    *7. Mahesh Lunch home - (area - Juhu Tara road in Mumbai)* Heaven for Sea food lovers. Very clean & hygienic and you can get the most iconic sea food dishes here.
    *8. Mini Punjab's Lake side - (area Powai in Mumbai)* Need to call and book a thaali(platter) in advance.
    Famous for its Dara Singh Thaali - available in both veg & non-veg versions. A must try.
    *9. Britannia & co. restaurant - (area - Ballard estate, Fort in Mumbai)*
    Famous for its Irani / Parsi cuisine. Awesome Desserts & Sodas.
    *10. Anand Stall - (Vile Parle west in Mumbai)*
    A fast food joint famous for its awesome Vada Paav, Sandwiches & Dosas.

    few year back i found out that westerners do not like carrots that much it thought it a little weird but then that i came to know that they carrots that you guys have over there are bitter in taste but here in India or specially in Punjab we have Red carrots and they are very sweet in taste. You can eat them raw. I do this all the time they are very tasty even though i am very picky when it come to eat veggies.

    Thanks for the video! Well and you say women go there where they're hidden hehehe, but at the same time you can also take into consideration that perhaps women and teenagers might also want and like their privacy. Honestly, i'd love that, even as a man, because it can give me more of a "me and private feeling" rather than just a communal bath with thousands of people around.
    PS: Most Indian women within (Hindus, Sikhs, Jains) are not as shackled or emotionally bound as westerners might think they are because of how they might appear to be, its just still a simpler-household focused sort a lifestyle community still instead of a very individualistic approach to society. Muslim community definitely has a lot more shackling them so to say.

    • @NataliesPassport
      @NataliesPassport  5 днів тому

      I definitely understand that too! I wouldn’t want to take a bath in front of a ton of people 🙈 so I guess it’s a win win! Lol. Photography is not allowed so that we don't take too much time and everyone gets chance to go inside. Also, it is a religious place people come there to do prayer so we should not disturb anyone while doing their prayer. Also sometime people make some inappropriate videos like dancing reels which are not acceptable. Yesterday a lady from Gujrat came all the way to Darbar Sahib(Golden Temple) on Yoga Day and capture some photographs in the Darbar Sahib Outer Complex in some Weird yoga poses which hurt our religious sentiments. Yoga is not part of our religion. We are warriors we do Gatka(Sikh Martial art) we don't do yoga. We believe that she did all this with a complete planning. Also when we searched background that female she had pictures with kangna ranaut who always post hate speeches against sikhs. That's is why they sometime don't allow to shoot video even outside.

      What nonsense. No such prohibition in Sikhism.

    • @RMNewton992
      @RMNewton992 8 днів тому +1

      @@NataliesPassport There is no such nonsense in Sikhism. Also, please note people trying to misguide you and to defame Punjab. They try this with all Foreign Tourists on social media. These people have trouble accepting that Sikhism considers all humans as equal. People of all religions, races, castes etc. are welcome in all Sikh Gurudwaras(Sikh place of worship, lit. Gurus Door), even the Sikh Holiest shrine The Darbar Sahib(The Golden Temple). Similarly, Sikh Langar feeds all irrespective of religion, caste etc.
      So, please base your views on your own experience.

    Unfortunately Punjab today is taken over by Drug mafia rampant Drug consumption which has seriously affected our Punjabi brothers specially youth and Drug money along with gun voilence has become common thing in Punjab complemented with Radical Separatist Sikh Khalistani terrorism sponsered by UK and North America has disturbed peace in Punjab. People do not show or not allowed to show the harsh reality of Punjab. What you see is not the real Punjab.
