Holy shit I knew Lori was the cool mom but driving you and your friends to TP houses AND water ballooning your friends?? 10/10 parenting
I think the thought of "why take your kids to Disney before they'll remember" is more about the availability and cost of going to Disney. I know we will only be able to afford Disney once in my kids life so it makes more sense to go when they are old enough to enjoy everything and remember it. If I lived close to Disney and had the annual pass I would be taking my little one all the time too.

I kind of wish that sierra had brought up being a parent now and the sleepover controversy, I’d live to know her stance more. Most of my best memories were at sleepovers but I feel like most people aren’t letting their kids anymore because of safety stuff

Fun fun fun as always! And I was evidently a really tame kid. No drinking, drugs, sneaking out, pranks, etc. I thought all of these things were "talked up " in the "real world" and didn't happen. Maybe it's bc I'm a small mid-western town.
It's the way I thought me and my friends were "so weird" and we literally did every single thing mentioned here 👗

I love this podcast episode 💗 something I just wanted to point out when Sierra is talking about parents saying why it doesn't make sense to take a toddler to Disney when they won't remember is maybe becuase these parents or families don't have alot of money to save for big trips like Disney, And so they have to think about what makes sense not only for the child but also for their bank accounts and what they could plausibly afford. Not saying you shouldn't take your daughter to Disney if you have the means! It's just that in most cases, I would venture to say that most families don't have the opportunity to go to Disney more than maybe 2 times in their lifetime, so they want to make sure it counts and makes a big impact for their children. To hate just a possible explanation 💗💗💗💗

I agree that magical and just intentional moments with young kids and babies are so important because it helps their growth. Every single experience adds to a child’s character and growth until they are adult and even then it continues.

I’m only 25, but listening to this podcast made me feel young again 😂❤️ loved reminiscing about all the pranks we used to pull as teens, sleepover games, and all the drama. Also, I never get sick of hearing stories from Sierra’s bad girl era 😉
I was definitely that girl that couldn’t hang once it hit bedtime lol. I remember almost every sleepover I had I would be bawling the second it was time to lay down and would be calling my mom because I missed her. she was always so amazing and would come immediately to pick me up. And now I’m a 22yr old adult who gets homesick when I’ve been on vacation without my mom for a couple days haha

I do feel like things little Kids experience, will have an impact on them. Like it influences there overall happiness and they learn to trust you as their parent. I think does activities will help to built a solid foundation for there mental health. And I do have some (few, but still some) memories from when I was 2-3 years old, so maybe she will remember. And she can always look back at the pictures and see how much fun you guys had.

On the going to Disneyland with young kids, I went when I was 3 and I remember quite a few things from that trip! It’s honestly one of my favorite childhood memories!
My friend's house had windows with sensors that beeped when opened, so we opened it during the day and then kept it a crack open until we snuck out at night 😅

As adults, my husband and I saw our friends sport car in the Walmart parking lot. We opened the pack of TP that we just bought and TP’d his car and left. He had no idea who did it. Then on the way home, we knew he was gone so, we TP’d his front porch. We eventually confessed and we all had a laugh. I don’t even know why we did it but, it was fun. 😂

Will you all share your LA itinerary? My husband and I are planning a trip in October and I’m stressing on where to go/what to do
I live in GA where we get heavy dew and it rains almost every weekend in the summer (and then is super hot, sunny, and humid the next day), so my parents were VERY anti-TPing 😅 We did ding dong ditch a lot at sleepovers though. And we never had to sneak out because we’d be out playing manhunt and other outdoor games until 1am anyway 😅
Oregonian here…. Shivering as i drink my hot chocolate as we are in the 30’s at night and not even 50 during the day and raining.

I bought silicone straws just to be an environmental girlie but was so pleasantly surprised by the Polly pocket clothes texture 10/10 recommend 😅

The Polly pocket shoes were my favorite snack of her whole fit 🤭

I was always the girl that would want to go home. And I always felt so bad! 😭
Loved this pod. I was probably too much of a goodie goodie to hang with any of you 😂 but below is my sleep over story that gave me mom points for life.
In 7th grade in my group of friends there were 3 girls that all lived on the same street. We'll call them Abby, Becky, and Catie. Well between these 3 girls that lived on this street there were always two that were in a fight with other one. One week Becky and Catie would be mad at Abby for something. The next week Abby and Becky were mad at Catie. It was so constant that I called them "the triangle of drama." One night I was sleeping over at Becky's house with Catie and 2 other girls from this friend group. Catie and Becky were mad at Abby for some bullshit reason and had decided they wanted all of us to go to Abby's house and confront her and tell her why everyone at this sleepover she wasn't invited to hates her. Like each of us girls would just pile it on. And the others were down but I said "I'm not gonna do that." to which Becky was like "well then we are just going to leave you here" and I said "that's fine. I'm just gonna pet your dog until you get back" and so they all left huffing and puffing that I was staying behind. Five or six minutes later one of the other girls came back and said that she didn't really want to do it either and was glad I said I wasn't going to because then she had the courage to come back. And one by one the girls came back and agreed that it was stupid and not that big of a deal and really mean to go confront Abby and tell her what each of us don't like about her.
My mom says that when I told her this story was when she realized she raised a really good kid and knew that I wouldn't give into peer pressure that went against my moral compass. She always allowed me to go to whatever party or get together I wanted to in high school because I had demonstrated on my own that I could be trusted.
I always have to put in my 2 cents when it comes to people trying to steal your Disney joy (around 20:00). If you listen to them here's all the people who shouldn't go: People with babies and toddlers, teenagers, Disney adults with no kids, elderly people. etc. RIDICULOUS!! You like Disney - You go to Disney! Period!
Anytime I hear George Lopez it just immediately takes me back to that middle/highschool fever dream 😂👗

Our favorite thing to do was sneak out and go lay on the dock by the lake near my one friend's house. We absolutely got caught but no one really got in trouble.
Also, curfew in my town was so stupid. I got caught walking down the street at like 2AM on a weekday and all the cop did was ask if I needed a ride home. Thankfully the cops knew my family so all I'd say was my name and they be like, oh, just go straight home.

I actually met someone at a concert and I was definitely drunk and we ended up following each other on instagram that night and later on weeks later we went paddle boarding at the river and hung out lolllll still don’t really talk or anything but I’m sure if I hit her up to go do something or go out she would be down lol.

I think with the whole conversation about having a sleepover if your child is gay and its with same sex friends is less of an issue because parents are usually worried about their child becoming or getting someone pregnant at a young age. Sure, they don't want them fooling around, but the stakes are so much lower. Idk.
