On the last episode of ProShaper Workshop, Wray decided to show how to rough out a Porsche 550 nose section with our power hammer and then over to the beater bag to stretch the edge as shown by the flexible shape pattern. So we decided to continue with the nose section having Wray see where we are at with the F.S.P. From here he smooths out the panel using the English Wheel. Then it's over to the beater bag to change the area values in certain areas. Finally we take the panel over to the Wire form buck and see what needs to happen next!

Seeing how the panel smooths out in the English Wheel never gets old.

Thank to the editor for the speedup during the boring long runs. Makes it far more data wise for those on metered data plans.

Excellent video, thanks Wray
Excellent content- as usual !! Thanks, Wray.
porsche and the "unmentioned inventor" is an interesting story! brandnames in this contxt:
tatra, steyr, porsche and, in a postive way, daimler.
names are porsche, ledwinka and bela barenyi, the later being more or less inventor of active and passive carsafety. If one connects the lifelines of these persons, there are interesting facts to be found😊
....and your lesson?
...your the best teacher in panelbeating I know and you keep me holding on on my own project(s)... thank you for these FREE offers, incredible!!!!

at 3:40 , was the little black wheel in the background ever available as plans , or a kit ,, its really handy looking . A long video , but there is so much information in this , has to be one of the best videos so far , but Im really looking forwards to the next one, the reverse curve shrink has to be dramatic as far as the area change goes.
This is a great course. What brand are you using for that flexible shape pattern?
I sell the correct tapes on my website www.proshaper.com
Браво! Хвала!
Great video. Lots of techniques taught there.
Question: Is the headlight circle a flat plane? If so, could the caulking tool hit the panel over a flat top bench vs a beater bag?
Yes, whatever way delivers a good end result is valid.
Just checked. Brian Tanti hasn’t posted a video in two years. Didn’t see much in the way of how-to. Mostly visiting car shows. Anyway, enjoying your particular content.

O SEU TRABALHO É MUITO BONITO ! PARABENS! o sr. conhece a solda afrio trabalha sem ferro de solda? e sem gas argonio ?
Would annealing make the rest of the forming a lot easier? Before or after you put it through the English wheel? You never annealed I think any panel of the hood of the Jaguar neither
Maybe I will anneal the right side panel.
@@proshaper or the (extreme) reverse curve
um carro desse demora quanto tempo para finalizar ?
How do they clamp to the full-surface hardwood buck?
I believe they annealed the aluminum, hammered it against the hardwood full surface then smoothed it out with an English wheel. To get a finished panel they would have to go through that cycle several times.
@@proshaper Thank you! Watching this whole sucsession of 550 now. Makes me wonder, how alike the two sides are going to be? Those are some very complex parts.
BOA NOITE ! COMO É FEITO E QUEM FEZ ESTE ESQUELETO DE METAL NO FORMATO DE PORCHE 550 ?
.... metal is wray...not clay only
Hi Klaus, understanding metal's limits is the same as understanding clay's limits. Help build the channel, I need subscribers-thanks.
