@@UmbreonLibrisThese redesigns could be a cool form of regional variants for all 151. The variants actually look like the animal that you see in real life and not some clone variant with a different type. You are the first I ever seen do it exceptionally right by creating the form and still keeping the natural. The amazing factor is these look even more natural than before. This is kinda the direction I wanted this franchise to take as generations went on but alas, it never came true.
One of the things I love about this project is you can easily imagine many Pokémon with alternate typings that nicely fill in the gaps Kant has (dark/flying fearow line, ground/ghost cubone line, water/dragon gyarados, bug/steel scyther, etc).
Keep an eye out for another video on November 11 discussing the whole history of this project!
I like hearing the design inspirations and stuff but this is a very cool abridged look at all of them together! I think Koffing/Weezing are my favorite, a really interesting reimagining while retaining their core designs.
These actually turned out better than their previous design! Good job! 👍
I like most of them, but some of them are such upgrades it gave me whiplash. Specifically, Beedrill, Golem, Magneton, Hypno, and Omastar’s makeovers made me do a double take in how cool and how improved they were, and I love how Venomoth and Starmie are nearly the same but with a few key upgrades because they were already perfection (those two are my favorite gen 1 mons lol)
Vulpix and Ninetales are already some of my favorite pokemon, but you added exactly what I wish could be added to their designs. I like how they are still, but they’d be even better like this ❤
I love the inclusion of ocelli on paras and parasect
0:38 I like how the Rattata and Raticate have knotted tails, hinting at the phenomenon of the rat king
1:43 the Diglett and *especially* the Dugtrio are both incredibly well done!!
2:33 making the Geodude line be *actual geodes* is epic and I especially enjoy the almost creepy vibe their “eyes” give!!
3:26 the Rotom-like Voltorb and Electrode!!!
4:33 *YEEESSSSSS!!!!* THE EXTRA COIL-Y MEW TAIL AND THE BODY BEING A MORE OBVIOUS MALFORMED MEW EXPERIMENT IS EXTREMELY WELL REDESIGNED!!
5:10 *THE MEWTWO AND MEW THOUGH OH MY FREAKING ARCEUS*
All in all, these are incredible and you should totally make a redesign series for gen 2 aswell!!

I like nearly all of these, about 85% of them but, I do believe slimming down Pokémon like the Clefairy line and Mankey line was a mistake. They look rather cursed with a slimmer body type.

I really love the detail that Clefairy became way skinnier and has a gender difference just like how Pikachu was changed when they became mascot! Great nod to proto mascot Clefairy!

These redesigns are so cool! The way they make the Pokemon look so organic really adds to the “real” feeling; if only gen 1 had a level of technology advanced enough to make Pokemon this detailed back then.

Almost! Jolteon is a cheetah, Flareon is a maned wolf and Vaporeon is a river otter. All mammals, but not all felines and canines.
@@UmbreonLibris ok also all of them are Carnivora so if you do decide to do the later gens I would be a good idea to stick with animals in the Carnivora genus

Gen 1 paradox
I wonder if this will get a sequel.. because I love the personality inball these revamps. Way more colourful and fun, while keeping some of the shapes intact.
The Jigglypuff line finally look like balloons. Features like the Abra Tail aren't lost. Geodude's a Geode. The Taaban-Shelder looos like a Shelder. I especially love the Koffing spiders.
It also all breaks up the "too similar evo stages".
We get that question a lot! At the moment, we have no plan to do Gen 2, but maybe one day we'll get the itch again.
Sooo, will there be one for the other gens?

These are all fun as a bizarro world thing but the only ones I actively prefer over the originals are hypno,hitmonchan, and jinx

Despite the fact that I consider some of the redesigns of looks as nevertheless unnecessary or too much changing the originals , I appreciate many alternative looks.
Especially Dratini and Dragonair, which at least lend connectivity to the final original Dragonite form.
No, No, No, No, no offence. I like your designs, but I wouldn't change anything about these mons, except maybe Seel, Seel's plain.
Most of these are good but fearow is a downgrade in my opinion. It looks like it has the same personality of braviary instead of being more menacing and evil looking
