the ancient form of blastoise fix the problem for a Pokémon biological work maybe take it after changing it arm if connect to it's back after use for war maybe mutant it the Pokémon for it's canon be on it's back and the canons look unnatural even for Pokémon.
Ngl fam I love The charizard Feraligator & Swampert Regional variants I thought Swampert was gonna be a water/sound type due to its frills & fins but either way love how u pay attention to detail it's really refreshing seeing your fav starters get the Regional variant treatment 😁 Can't wait for the next ones 😁💙😁💙😁💙😁💙😁
That would be cool… if it kept the triangle steel resists grass so now venusaur can now deal nuteral damage… the same thing happened in sinnoh with empoleon but torterra is a ground type so it still passes
I think all these are super cool, especially the Charizard and Swampert! One thing I would like to see maybe in future iterations is having a region in mind for all of them (like you did with the Unova ones) Just to tie them a bit further into the whole Legends idea!
@@Shrimpy_SpecialFlavor I mean the last half of Blastoise name comes from tortoise, but now that I see that, I wonder if Blastoise is supposed to be pronounced like tortoise 🤔
Great concept and video. All of these are well thought out. So many regional starters are just like “blastoise with fire” or “charizard with bubble”. Great job to you and the artists!
Absolutely in love with that Swampert design and concept. It honestly hurts that we’ll never see these specific designs used in an official game. Good stuff.
Charizard will get a regional variant someday. It's the only existing special form it hasn't gotten yet and Gamefreak can't allow its favourite to be left out.
Regional variants are usually pallet swaps and slight alterations. Not taking away the back canons and giving it weird Mario turtle shell hands and a robot head.
Loved ALL of these variants. As a Blaziken stan I wasn't expecting to be even more blown away by Swampert, Meganium, and Venasaur's designs in particular. All of these were fun to see and learn about. Would love to see the others!
oh, i LOVE that poison sceptile. that colour combo on it is SO good. regional variant themes i've thought about of primarina and incineroar have been like, a metal (maybe specifically black metal) singer version of primarina, and a dancer (maybe specifically ballet?) version of incineroar.
The regional variant Kanto starters could from a region set between Kanto and Sinnoh. I think you should've featured a different Feraligatr variant, because both it and Hisuian Typhlosion are part Ghost type. Making a Water/Fighting variant would've formed a short chain of Type effectiveness: Ghost > Fighting > Ice. The Hoennian starters' regional variants are very well put together. Can't wait for the next video.
Great ideas, especially for Charizard, Feraligatr, and Sceptile. I always had them as my favorite starters from their respective gens and I would go with them with these regional variants as well, although both your Swampert and Blaziken ideas are great as well. Also Feraligatr doesn't need any spicing, he's simplistic, and that's one of the things that make him awesome.
3:42 So are we all going to ignore the fact that he says that he made Venasuar a grass fairy type claiming super effectiveness against Charizard despite Fire resists Fairy thus making Fairy a neutral effectiveness against Charizard not super effective. Other than that cool designs.
Here are some ideas I have for Regional Variants for Starters: Venusaur: Grass/Flying and the flower on its back turns into helicopter rotors Charizard: Fire/Rock because I always felt it had a common ancestor with Aerodactyl Blastoise: Water/Electric as a reference to hydroelectric power Meganium: Grass/Fairy because I feel the cherry blossom theme fits it better Feraligatr: Water/Dragon to make it look more monstrous Sceptile: Grass/Steel in order to make its Leaf Blades even sharper Blaziken: Fire/Flying and based on the Latiken fusion concept art Swampert: Water/Poison to connect it to Clodsire
sceptile has always been my favorite grass type starters and seeing it get a regional variant, especially one based off a really cool dinosaur, was amazing
Quick ficture, Swampert has actually my first starter pokemon ever! I started playing pokemon emerald because that has the game my cousins where playing in the corrent time, so every time i see it beeing ficture in a video or in the main pokemon media i get really happy.😊 But this? This is AMAZING!! Has a Swampert fan and expecialist, i aprove your work!👍 For my, only the regional Sceptile can stay head to head with it! And yes, YES i want more of those videos! PLEASE!!🙏
These designs are so cool! I especially love the Venasaur, Sceptile, and Swampert! I would definitely love to see more in the future of the rest of the starters! 🤩
Chickens have nothing to do with the weather vane itself. Roosters stand on barn rooves, and when people installed their weather vane, the rooster would still want to stand on the roof. So they got the idea to put the rooster on the vane as decoation. But the rooster has nothing to do with the vane itself.
Regional variants for Final Stage Starters is one of the best things Legends Arceus did and I NEED more in future games. Thank you for providing an idea for it. The Regional Variants you created for a oissuble Legends Unova game are still so peak. Regional Swampert has won over my heart,
when I look at Sceptile I often think of the bulbs on his back as being like tesla coils and him being Grass/Electric. Maybe his tail becomes like an antenna. I think it'd be neat
Dope as hell bro. Pokétubers are all so creative in the ways they help keep interest in the franchise fresh and alive. Alot of times the fans and Pokétubers concepts and thoughts are more creative than wat we are given by the games themselves. I loved this bro, and your channel in general. Keep it up.
Great video! Some incredible designs here. Especially love the Meganium design, but feels like it could be Dark Grass, and the Sceptile design is amazing! The reasoning and design for Blaziken is very clever.
If they where not only a regional variant but also a regional evolution like Linoone into Obstagoon, it would be cool to name them after their Japanese names such as Fushigibana, Lizardon and Kamex
@@TempestsFury I think they’re saying that the starters would have a split evolution instead of a fourth evolution. Charmeleon would still evolve into Charizard, but could also evolve into Lizardon.
Charizard and Sceptile look incredible. If their variants would look like this, they would immediately went to my favourite pokemons. I'd even say that they would probably be around or in my top 3 of non-legendary.
Have a number of complaints, but also a number of complements. I will say that in order for a few of these designs to work, you would also need to give regional variants to some of the middle stage evolutions. First off with Venusaur, it's face seem a bit off; it may be the angle but I don't think it's face is wide enough. As for it's overall design, I don't think this matches well with it's prevo. Ivysaur had one bud on it's back that hasn't opened up with some tropical looking leaves that look like it's the bulb from its pervious form opened up. This version of Venusaur that looks like a spring chia pet (or Shaymin) has two flower cannon. In order to make this work, I would suggest making a version of Ivysaur with two buds on it's back and make the leaves less tropic looking (maybe also give them a pinkish tent). Charizard Looks great. I love how it's become a Wyvern type dragon, and the way it's flame spreads across it tail is a nice touch. I would suggest giving it two extra claws on it's wings to even things out with it's clasic form and prevos. And while the dark type does work for it, I would suggest instead making it part fighting type (in witch case may I also suggest modifying it's legs). I only suggest giving it the fighting type in order to even things out with this version of Blastoise. Speaking of... Blastoise is probably the one that I have the least complaints about. It's Megaman style works for it, and I can see that it's claws can retract into it's cannon shells to preform water attacks. I would suggest giving more definition to the claw in the illustration, it looks a little flat The Joto starters are in a weird spot. They (along with Blaziken) are designs that you have already done/already have a official regional variant, so I don't think I should comment on them. I will say that having two ghost types is not a good match up though. I like Sceptile's look, but like Venusaur I don't think you're taking it's prevo into account one of Grovyle's most defining traits are those leaf blades on it's arms, even when it evolves it's aspects (while less notable) are kept. I would normally suggest adding those leaf blades into this version of Sceptile, but that might clash with what you're going for so it might be easier to give Grovyle a regional variant as well. Finally there's Swampert (if it wasn't clear I'm skipping Blaziken). I have no issues with it's design, but you should probably give it's prevo a variant. It feels a little weird for Marshtomp to go from water/ground to water/ghost when it evolves, so this would make things less awkward. While you're at it, it might also be a good idea to do the same thing to Combusken for the same reason
Imagine though: a future based Legends game that features your Blastoise variant with two other starter variants with a theme of robots/videogame characters.
The Blaziken variant is so well done, I love it. It’s difficult to give something a Native American/Native peoples motif without making it look like a caricature, but you NAILED it.
I think a Fire/Fairy Delphox with kitsune elements and a Water/Fighting Musketeer Greninja with a water sword (because greninja is a japanese beeing in a french region, so this form could be the oposite) would be perfect regional forms And we already have a regional Chesnaught in te Legends Unova video
I think an important thing to take into account with how starter regional variants we do have in Legends Arceus is that they strongly represent the region they are from by taking on the appearance of various kinds of jobs or positions of the era that region is based on. Typhlosion being a Monk/Exorcist, Samurott being chosen because of it being a Samurai and Decidueye being redesigned to take after a Ronin. If the intent of the redesigns is to be based on a potential Legends remake of any region, then that should be considered.
