Thank you for show casing our local markets. This market specifically is a historical landmark for our community... Keep up the brilliant work young man...
I'm so glad I came upon your video this morning. I live in Redcliffe Verulam but I've never visited the Market. Thank you for giving us the tour. I will definitely be buying my vegetables from there in the future. You are doing a great job.👏
I've been watching your channel all the way back from when you uploaded the Durban Museum video. I'm so happy to see your channel growing and evolving. Congratulations brother! You deserve it!🙏
Great video. Verulam is a nice place with Good people. You can buy the best and cheapest fruits in the country in Todd Street near the garage , under the trees. I never miss that chance when I'm at Verulam.
I left KZN 24 years ago and have been living in Cape Town since. I was born and brought up on the South Coast. Used to visit Verulam. Knew the Railway Hotel, the Green Cat Cinema and Restaurant, the Luxmi Cinema and not forgetting the Hazelmere Dam. I used to stay at the LA Mercy Beach Hotel., stayed in the Railway Hotel once. I am sure most of these places must have closed down as is happening everywhere. I may be visiting LA Mercy some time this year.
Railway hotel ...groom street has now turned to prostitution...the Gandhi Park there near the court is an open drinking place. Luxmi theatre too...turned into store frontage for Pakistanis mostly. Greencat ...still a landmark, but not for self respecting people to stay at. Overall that town would be a mess if it wasn't for reaction unit . La mercy beach hotel is still a winner. Although I'm not sure if it was sold off to New owners, but still operating
@@donsicariofx so sad really, I was in Umzinto, my birth place in July 2023 and saw exactly the same.. Zumas people at the same thing, take what others built and destroy it, no interest in building. That is why South Africa is in a mess and so is the whole of Africa. There is a saying about us, put us amongst the Eskimos and we will still be able to sell a fridge to them.
Thank u for showing us Verulam mkt. I used to go bottom level mkt years ago nw it all changed and looks better neat lots of fresh fruit n veg. Friendly people. I miss those times I used to frequent Verulam. But I will b sure to visit Verulam mkt thanks to u. Keep it up great stuff. ❤
The Verulam Market on Saturdays used to bustling with people and lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, its sad to see how much has changed. For newcomers it will seem to be alright now but the market is not a quarter of what it used to be The stalls use yo be filled all the way to the back ,every kind of ethnic vegetables could be found..in fact the original Verulam market was behind the courthouse and was relocated. Verulam was a very beautiful place before ,now its all in ruins
U welcome sumeran. U should visit Drakensburg. Great place many beautiful scenery. Lot's of hotels to visit. Lot's of activities to enjoy. U will definitely love it. ❤️.
Sumie! What size TV you got in your car? Thanks for the top tour brother. Verulam is one of the older SA towns, founded by my Methodist ancestors in 1850. I’ll take you to the KFC for next time.
Sumerian, I grew up here. It's gone dirty, too crowded and high crime, no longer safe place. When I was a kid it was only Indians here bro, and it was clean.
Hi Sumeran, At least learn the names of the vegetables if you are going to do indian markets😂 no disrespect. But it will definitely make you sound more confident. All the best
Enjoyed it

All of these places have sadly fallen into disrepute,it's so dangerous to even walk in Wicks street

verulam crime rate is probably worse than anywhere in sa. thank your luck star ,you made it out safe
Nonsense. You just have to know where to avoid. Verulam pales in comparison in terms of crime say compared to hillbrow or Wentworth
come to debi place
What is there?
Great video🤝, who’s your cameraman ? they doing a good job getting all the different angles and shots.
Hi when I go on a normal day trip sometimes I take some family members.
Is there a bulk section to buy from at the market?
Not that I saw
Sumie! What size TV you got in your car?
Thanks for the top tour brother. Verulam is one of the older SA towns, founded by my Methodist ancestors in 1850.

Nowhere is safe really.....
Since when you have a cameraman?😅

Chicken attack😂

Lol your nose was right. The KFC is 20 metres up if you turned left.
Lol I knew it 🤣
You didn't visit, you came to buy😁😁😁😅😅
Visit and Buy 😁
