When the Afrikaners were forcing SA races to conform to their values, we Blacks complained. When they decide to rather go and live out their culture and values by themselves we also complain. Instead, we want to force ourselves and values on them - hypocritical to say the least. They are there living in peace, not bothering anyone.

It's exactly how South Africa should be run, where people take pride in what they do, together. But most South Africans are lazy, and that's why it's now a huge toilet.

Seeing your previous episodes of downtown Johannesburg, this place feels like heaven. Can’t communities are safer when people with shared values come together. It doesn’t necessarily be based on religion, race or tribe but values.

In the early 1990s, a group of Afrikaners had a vision: to create a self-reliant, independent community where they could preserve their culture and way of life. This vision led to the birth of Orania, a town located along the Orange River in the Karoo region of South Africa's Northern Cape province.
The story of Orania begins with its founder, Carel Boshoff Sr., a theologian and cultural activist. In 1991, Boshoff and a group of like-minded Afrikaners purchased the town, which had originally been built in the 1970s for construction workers on the Orange River Project. The town had been empty for years, but the new owners saw its potential as a pilot project for Afrikaner self-determination and cultural preservation.
From the start, Orania was designed to be a self-sufficient community. The town's economy is largely based on agriculture, with a significant focus on pecan nut farming. Orania even prints its own currency, called the Ora, which is pegged to the South African Rand. The town operates independently, with its own municipal administration and no reliance on national funding.
Orania's commitment to self-sufficiency extends to its energy needs. The town has invested heavily in solar power, aiming to achieve energy independence. This dedication to sustainability is evident in its infrastructure, including its sewage works and landfill site, which complies with stringent environmental regulations.
The town has also faced its share of controversy. Critics argue that Orania's policy of being a whites-only community is a throwback to apartheid. However, the town's supporters point to the South African Constitution, which allows for the right to self-determination, as justification for its existence.
Despite the challenges, Orania has grown steadily. The town's population has increased significantly, and it continues to attract new residents who share its vision. Orania's future projects are ambitious, with plans to expand the population to 15,000 inhabitants. This includes the development of new housing, businesses, and factories, as well as a major expansion of the solar farm. 60 million South African Rand (approximately 3,225,000 Euros.)
Orania's story is one of resilience and determination. It's a community that has faced scrutiny and controversy but remains steadfast in its mission to create a self-reliant, sustainable, and culturally rich environment. As Orania continues to grow and evolve, it serves as a testament to the power of vision and the strength of community.

I don't know what's the fascination with this racist town for it to receive so much coverage from youtubers. For me this town represents the worst of our country , no matter how anybody spins it this is racism in full display, they even have a statue of the architect of apartheid Hendrick Verwoerd displayed proudly there, sickening

Quite correct. Towns in SA where only black people live: Sterkspruit, Seymor, Mount Fletcher, Lady Frere, Willowvale, Libode, Butterworth, Cala (Eastern Cape). In KZN Pomeroy, Nqutu, Tholeni, Impendle, Izingolweni, Bizana, Umzinkulu, Ulundi (a whole city). Highflats and Umzinto in KZN only black people and Indian people, no whites. These are not suburbs, but towns. There are more, but these are the ones I have visited or drove through.

I am a black South African. To them Holland is as foreign as it is to me. All they know and understand is South Africa.
They went to the least desirable and populated province of South Africa, which is home to the indigenous people of South Africa, the Khoi and the San. They are not using any black cheap labour, but you still complain, because that is what we black people are good at.
I am Zulu, we Bantus came from the Congo. If we want the Afrikaners to go back to Holland, we should also go back to the Congo.
There is a reason why the land on earth is a limited resource. It was never meant to belong to any person or group of people. It belongs to whoever lives in it at the time. All humans have been constantly migrating since their first existence on earth. Many scientists say humans originated from Africa, and then moved to other areas. So, no race or group of people can rightfully claim any piece of earth as theirs alone.
Instead of complaining about land noone was interested in, why don't you organize our black sisters and brothers to clean up and take care of the land they are occupying. Most areas dominated by black people are neglected and dirty.😢😢

The Northern Cape is a sparsely populated province, because of its harsh conditions. They have worked hard for themselves to make something that was not there before. They have no cheap black labour, but you are still complain. Instead of taking lessons, you want to criticize.
I am a black South African, but I say KUDOS to them. They don't have to deal with the corruption and incompetence of the ANC and others, which have mismanaged once thriving cities and towns of South Africa.

      @SoulBuddy2222 7 днів тому

@@LifemzansiIt's their money and it's their choice. It doesn't add or subtract to the Rand. So, why bother?
We black people need to focus on ourselves, and not white people, unless they do something that harms us. Black people have so much wasted potential, because they are misled by corrupt black leaders, who want to shift focus from their corruption and incompetence to whites and the past.
If we don't change our thinking and attitude, we'll still be complaining about apartheid in 200 years from now. Instead of promoting self-dignity and self-reliance, black politicians are promoting entitlement and dependency, which will lead to more and more poverty.
We cannot force other races to want or love us, but we can make them respect us by doing better than they expect. We can start by taking care of what already exists, and then innovate and build further. We do have what it takes, but choose to focus on getting rich quickly.😢😢
