Did not expect this to work at all, but gave it a go because there are so many comments saying it worked. AND IT WORKED! I cut a little square from an antibacterial hand wipe & stapled to a bit of card. This has saved me so much time, energy, money, and may have saved a project I'm working on to a deadline. Thanks so much!
There is no way i thought that this would work for me. I used the alcohol swab stapeled to a piece of card and it worked! You are the best! Thank you so much!
Worked like a charm! My Epson was feeding paper a little crooked for years and recently the feed became nearly worthless. I tried the business car trick and my printer acts like new with absolutely no cost to me. Thanks so much!
Great. I was really getting frustrated with my Stylus R380 printer that suddenly started failing to feed paper. I wasted over 2 hours trying to find what broke before I turned to the internet. This simple task put me back in the pink. All is well now. Thanks.
At first I was skeptical about this. But then I thought I had nothing to lose except a broken printer in case this method didn’t work. …BUT IT DID. Holy crap thank you very much. Still works even on a newer printer. I have an XP-4205.
My Epson Stylus Photo R200 decided it didn't want to feed 290gsm photo paper anymore after many years of reliable service. I tried stapling an Isopropyl pad to a piece of card as suggested here, let it dry and it now feeds perfectly. Thanks a lot for this tip.
I am so impressed. My paper has been slipping for ages until it eventually wouldn't load at all, even with a little push the help the paper it just went straight though without printing. Today I watched your video. Luckily I had some of the alcohol you mentioned. I cleaned the roller as you suggested, waited two minutes and then went to print. As I said I'm so impressed, it worked straight away. Thank you so much.
You are amazing! I was gonna throw my XP-4105 away, the paper just won't feed. Used your card trick and it worked! I tried both wet wipes and alcohol swap. The latter does work better. Thanks a million.
Our L3110 was doing this for months and I was so lazy searching for a solution until now. So the roller is the culprit. Got a cloth and alcohol, cleaned it and now it's fixed. Thanks!
I am so grateful to you, i thought my printer had a major problem...even when i was trying to "help" the paper feed in it would hardly work and now i cleaned it and it has worked a treat , first time, you are amazing ... I am selling my art prints and was having a night mare trying to get them to print.
I can't believe it! These solutions worked on my R300. Out of the blue, the paper feeder roller stopped grasping my paper correctly. I used the alcohol wipe paper-clipped to a business card suggestion and voila!!!! Problem solved. :) Thank you.
Although I have an epson L455, this helped me. There was a bread bag tie ( plastic coated ) wire which was slightly beyond the field of vision, however looking obliquely and carefully helped in spotting it.
Thank you! After losing my mind for an hour, I watched your video and was able to get my glossy paper to start loading again. I am now alcohol patch believer! It works, people!
Had to come back and say a huge thank you. I had used Platenclene on everything I could get to and obviously the feed roller is hidden. Your trick really worked. I am over the moon. I will share your video on my UA-cam channel to my fellow ecotank friends
Sat here for an hour. Watch this, 30 seconds later the solution. There's SOMEHOW a fucking plastic plug cover in the paper feed 🤦🏻♀️ you're a genius, but more than that, I'm an idiot. Thank you
Thanks man it helped, I used alcohol pads for oculars and stick them to hard A4. You just saved me like 50 USD for repairs! thank you. More I may repeat it :)
Thank you so much! I was going insane! Turned out it was a black hairband, that was virtually impossible to see without a torch, wedged right at the bottom lol
just wanted to say thanks. Seems so obvious to check the feeder area, but my paper was intermittently not feeding properly - i took a look down the slot and found a NERF DART !! ... what a surprise!
That's great! Yes, sometimes it doesn't seem like it is dirty, but needs to get refreshed once in a while. Not too often, but does. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, sorted paper misfeed issues on an Epson R3000. Moral of the story is take the paper out of the hopper and close the cover when not in use to stop dust getting inside.
Thank you so much! My thicker cardstock paper stopped feeding correctly for months, so I would have to gently push each paper in to print. I used your method on my Epson ET-2750 and my cardstock feeds again!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
ohhh... i like that idea of the wipe attached to the business card... going to give it a try... i have an epson-410 that just started failing to pull in the paper... thanks
I didn’t have an alcohol pad, so I cut and folded a square of a coffee filter (no shedding) and wet with alcohol. Worked like a dream! Today you saved my printer from certain destruction! Thank you.
It's the exact same method on an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and 3880 too. Basically the same feed mechanism and the same part that needs cleaning every now and again. It is especially noticeable when you print on glossy paper where more traction is needed.
If you have an Epson R285 or R2/R3 series printer and the paper is not feeding through or coming out wonky there is a plastic white roller, in between where the paper goes, manually rotate it gently to the opposite side and hey presto the paper feed issue will have been resolved.
im gonna try this. i have an ET 4700 and omg a popsicle stick fell off my wall into my printer feed and omg its not picking up! I hope this works!!!! I need this printer ugh its sold out not even like i can just buy another or i would!
Absolutely! Go for it. I know how frustrating it is to see the printer shortage we have today. Never thought I'd see that in my lifetime. I wish you the best!
Found a spring when I took my r380 apart to see why it wasn't working. Is there a spring in the back of the part that the paper rests on? This is a very large spring and I didn't think it came out of the printer.
I cleaned the paper feed and noticed the rubber part was quite worn like an old belt. I put some hair oil to moisturize it, wiped it down. It worked. 😂
OH MY GOSH!!! I was about to launch it off the balcony but now I am back in business!! THANK YOU!!!
Hahaaa. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you got it fixed. Have a great weekend!

You just saved me buying a new printer. Five minutes and it was fixed. Thank you!
Glad to hear it. Have a great day!
I didn't have an alcohol swab at the moment. I just wetted the end of my paper... This worked unbelievably 👏
Simple ways in which I have become my own technician through amazing people like you doing this video. THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏
You're welcome! I'm glad you can learn and share your knowledge as well. Have a great day!
Finally something working! Paper loaded but blocked half way. Alcohol wipe on the roller and my Epson XP 445 is working again. Thank you 🙏

Thank you so much! It worked on my Epson L355 :)
You're welcome! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much. The alcohol swab stapled to a piece of card sorted mine out. I thought it had packed in.
If instead the gear that accompanies the sheet does not move in any way, it means that there is now a hardware failure I presume.
Thanks for sharing
That's was a great tip. I put a wipe damped in alcohol an it did the trick. Thank you

OMG it works! Thank you!
My printer model is Epson L805. Any alternative for alcohol?
it's a shitty printer, throw it away and buy a Canon. Cleaning a printer roller each 10 papers is not worth it
Thank you so so much! We were about to throw the printer and it turned out 2 lego men were stuck in the roller!
🙂 Glad you got them free! 😃 Thanks for the update. Have a great day!
Found a spring when I took my r380 apart to see why it wasn't working. Is there a spring in the back of the part that the paper rests on? This is a very large spring and I didn't think it came out of the printer.
Sometimes, it can be part of the paper level sensor

Hi , my printer won’t pull through on the left side, as you are looking from the front.any ideas.?
There may be something in the way or a bent/broken paper stopper at the bottom of the tray
