The video gets better and better as it goes along. It was great reliving our WABDR through you. You summed up little baby head hill not friendly. Its cool seeing some of the adventures you're AT has carried you through . It's missing you and day light.
The WABDR was a fun trip. Glad I was able to do the entire thing. Without so much as a tip over even. Fun route. Idaho is in my sites next, just unsure of the when
@@theadventurecooperative even when healed up and feeling confident to ride again, riding opportunities for long trips will be quite limited next year due to time off of work. May not be till 2025 before I get another opportunity for a multi day to week long plus trip
I use a small tube of Goop. It's great for cleaning yer hands after working on the bike AND it works great as tire lube. I hear hand sanitizer, which works great to sanitize yer hands and great for starting fires, works as a tire lube as well.
Thanks for sharing this trip! I watched Ben's videos on it earlier, and the 2 together give me plenty of information for my own run. The only concern I have is, I ride a TW200. While I've had the gears altered so she's a little faster on pavement, but they're pretty much high speed (I live near Leavenworth, so I know how people drive around here), Don't have any qualms about the little farm bike being able to handle the ruts-it probably won't even know they're there!
.... thank you for posting your adventure and your honest thoughts of riding or not riding sections and why. Much respect to you. Ride safely always to ride another day.
Had a beer and food in Stormy Mtn brewing several years ago while on a ride from the NHRA races in Seattle. Nice place, friggin hot! Btw, ride your ride man! Every section you do makes you a BDR rider!
at 1:01:22 is where the dozer was going through as we were coming down dumped it about 200ft in and it was all down hill from got caught in a rut at the bottom that bent my rear brake lever 180 under the foot pad and rear brake on full...

@@ExploreAdventureMoto the gas station in Concunully. He was telling a story about a hand grenade and Tom Brady… not sure where he was going with it lol
I say the nay sayers and put downers can screw off. If you complete the route then you complete the route and it doesn't matter how you do it. People complete the TAT but not everyone does it in one singular trip and some take bypasses for good reason but they still complete it. I haven't done any of the BDR routes yet but I have ridden a couple of the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Routes, one I completed one in a single multi day trip and another was broken up over two weekends. That's the way it goes. It was still a blast.
I don’t think any of those comments are meant maliciously, just poking fun. Just have to be careful what is said when folks are trying to get into the sport and they may get the wrong idea.
Dude great Nature scenes! Must have been amazing , especially riding with the dirk, Mike and broken leg guy. I can not believe none of you visited the hospital when you were in town. Please stop talking! Whom ever told you . That you need to speak during the entire video was wrong. Just give synopsis and point out interesting sites. Please infor the dork too. We watch to see the ride!! Thanks for the videos.
All told it was 6 days, that includes the first travel day. If someone was really rippin, the route “could” be done in 3 days fairly easy I’d think. but WHEN I do it again I’ll likely take 6-7 days again. There are some things I didn’t stop to see and take pics that I wish I had. I’d rather err on the side of too much time and take my time riding to really enjoy the scenery.
@@ExploreAdventureMoto The ADV Crooked River gig is the very end of March. Early February is my Birthday Campout atta river yet to be determined (determined by weather). But next weekend is a Dirt Bike Winter at Cline Buttes OHV!
Some people say if you walk part of a marathon you didn’t actually run a marathon. I think that’s stupid. I’ve run many races much farther than a marathon and just finishing without injury is a feat. If you have to ride one section at a time because you have a life you still accomplished it. I would even say that’s more difficult. You have to take care of family first.
Why bother giving detractors oxygen to propagate their negativity. Both you and Dork spend too much time (any time above zero seconds is too much time) commenting on possible future negative posts.

Hello! What was the new gearing that you got at the time?
Added two teeth to the rear sprocket. Gave quite a bit more “grunt” down low without sacrificing too much top end
