I like your videos because of all that you incorporate into it. People shouldn't bash Revere overland because he is traveling with his wife and baby. It's an adventure of people and their lives.
I love watching your videos, the places you go and the beautiful country you overland, at this time I can only go on my trips bout 7 months out of the year, but watching your show has giving me some good ideas and places to see on my own! Thanx for making them!
Forget about those negative people you're talking about. I personally enjoy watching not just you other people overlanding I think you have a good sense of humor I love to look at the natural geographic I think you're doing a great job and thank you for that. I never forget my mother told me son whatever you might be doing you cannot make happy for everybody. Hey best regards.
Your videos are awesome. I just bought a gladiator and I’m going to get into over landing and your videos are great teaching experiences . Keep up the great work and don’t let the haters control what you film . Thank you!
When I’m traveling along an interstate or highway and wonder, what’s over on the other side of that mountain or feature? You are there. You’re exploring those places and putting them on video. Your sharing those experiences and videos with me. Thank you for that. I wish I could do that myself but you’re doing what I can’t. And I appreciate it and I’m thankful for it.
I watched the shorter videos when you originally posted but I enjoy these longer videos of your trips and was happy to watch it all again. I know it is a lot of work to make videos to begin with but anytime you want to do some longer ones, I'm down to watch! Hope your Merus trip is going well this weekend!
I truly love your videos Matt. It’s a way to get away from the everyday grind and go on adventures with you. You really make it seem like I’m just hanging with friends. Hope we can cross paths someday.
You and Brad were discussing content changes to your channels. I have been watching you for years and enjoy your channel very much. It doesn't matter what vehicles you drive (no van please) but I watch for the beautiful scenes and content you shoot of this glorious country. You are a down to earth guy, funny and informative on your travels. I don't know what's up with the hair color but I can't image you with any other hair style since I been watching your channel. Keep up the great channel you have. I'm working on getting my truck ready for outdoor adventures that you and Brad have inspired me to do. Note: I ran across Brad's channel first, years ago, and that is where I found your channel searching for more overland content. Love you guys, keep up the great work and I will keep watching and "likin", can't afford to be a patron.
First off, your one of my favorite youtubers! I want to say I love all your videos! Keep being who you are and continue doing what you love. I admire and appreciate what you do and keep it up with all your variety of content.
Thank you for sharing your life. I actually found your channel researching rock lights. I was hooked, but something you said multiple times hit me hard and I wanted to say thank you! Die with memories not dreams. Recently we started exploring with our jeeps our kids are grown and after watching this video I’m planning our next journey! Again thank you!
I’m working from home today, which is rare and I just got to the point in this video where you essentially had public service announcement about people being terrible online. I was totally on board until you said “or maybe I go crazy one day and buy a 4Runner!” And that’s where I draw the line! How dare you?! 😂 naaah, I really don’t care what you’re driving! Sometimes I put videos like this on in the background when I’m doing other stuff around my apartment. Or sometimes you guys drive in different areas that I’m curious about traveling myself, IN MY 3rd GEN 4RUNNER!!! It’s unfortunate that the Internet has also become a dumping ground where people feel the freedom to be very shitty to other people. But there are still a lot of us out here that appreciate a lot of you guys who share your adventures! For a few years, I did some photo journalism work covering motorsports… That shit is a lot of work! The fact that you guys are out there on these adventures plus taking the time to gather all the footage that you need and create this content is definitely a metric shit ton of work!!! Just know that there are plenty of us out here who know that and appreciate the hell out of the work that goes into it!!! Now, I should really get back to work 😅
We love your channel and are so enjoying travelling places in the U.S. with you that we will never see in person. We had several fly drive holidays in America when we were younger and had a great time. We travel the world now in our armchairs in Scotland so keep doing your thing and ignore any criticism. You can’t please everyone so please yourselves. It’s your life ! Maureen & Ronnie Greig.
❤ I love what you said Matt about just getting out and doing the best you can to make your dreams come true!!! We love watching you and and your wife on some of your adventures! We too love to get out and explore! You guys definitely motivate and inspire us to keep living our dream!!! ❤
Always a pleasure👍 Really enjoy the comfortable pace, informative and interesting dialogue. Missed meeting you at the Plain Washington Overland Rally. Maybe next year- Enjoy the ride!
I love all your videos, it doesn’t matter what you drive on your adventures you all are amazing just showing us the beauty of the US. Unfortunately there will always be hateful people and trolls. Just ignore them and don’t let discourage you all
Stubbled across your channel and am loving your adventures. I am new to this lifestyle and excited about getting out there soon. Never considered overlanding, because of viewing your adventures, now considering it. Keep the videos coming! they are EPIC!
I started watching to learn more about off-road adventures with Jeeps. Loved the ability to pick up the do’s and don’ts from the content you post. Bonus to see the adventures you include outside the vehicle. Trying to get up the nerve to at some point overland. For now I have stuck to day trips. Keep posting what you enjoy. Seems to be working for a huge group of people.
Love your videos, Matt & Cara. Definitely helped me towards getting my Gladiator when I did. Keep it up, and always stay positive. Danielle's a champ by the way.
Love this. Thanks. I am no 81 and retired & used to do so.e trekking in Alaska and did the Alaska hwy. Nothing fancy, tented, traveled in a Toyota camry with two sea kayaks. Had to watch out for bears of various sizes. I used to hike on and near Mt. Rainier with a stroller and baby in a back pack. Babies are a part of life. I'd probably say tough, deal with it. Some people who complain are spoiled.
I'm 100% here because of the jeeps, but stay for the great content and awesome adventures. This is as much entertainment as it is research on areas I'd like to explore. When the adventures do not reflect what I'm interested in, it is very possible attention will gravitate elsewhere. No hate here. Just reality. For those living vicariously through this as mostly entertainment, it probably wouldn't change a thing if you bought an RV trailer.
I enjoy the content that you, Brad from TrailRecon, Rob from Revere Overland, Nate from Dirt Lifestyle, Last Line Of Defense, Lifestyle Overland, and many others for the adventure you all bring to the community and the inspiration you all give everyone to get out there and camp responsibly. You all are the ones that inspired me to get out and start exploring and it has been an amazing journey so far. I overland a 4th Gen RAM 1500 and it has surprised me in its ability to roam. Yall even inspired me to start my own channel. I haven’t had the time to upload like I wanted, since I have a ton of unedited footage that I need to compile, but I will get back to it in August 2024 after this upcoming deployment. Thank you for what you all do!!!
very nice, I need to start videoing my outings, and kick it into another gear or two, The prettiest places that I have been to, was when I rode my motorcycle across country to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, and the rode to one of my best friends in the Rockies of Colorado. I have been in the same boat as Brad, I own a drone just not have made my part 107 Drone license. I know that drone footage can take ones video to next level, I know that I do not own the best name brands or anything, as far as gear would go. I'm just a disabled Veteran who likes to get out and spend time with my wife and in nature, so I can enjoy what very little time I have left here on earth.
Just found your channel. As an Oregonian I learned a lot about my own State I didn’t know about. Counting down the days I get another Jeep to do some overlanding.
I love your videos, not for what you drive but for the places you visit and the things you do. I’m no longer able to travel and you show me places I would have loved to visit, but mostly you bring back wonderful memories of my off road days. Us youngins would also say if you didn’t need a kidney transplant by the end of the day you didn’t have enough fun.
Late to comment, but I follow for the adventure and personality and the gear and trip planning and inspiration. Vehicles don’t matter, to each their own based on space requirements etc. I’m a single guy with a big dog so I chose a 4Runner. I’ll continue watching regardless of what you drive or who’s bringing their family along the more the merrier
I just genuinely enjoy your content and the passion you guys have for what you do. Also the knowledge I gain about the various places you visit that I can keep in mind for myself in the future is a big bonus.
Being from eastern Oregon and now living in SW Idaho for almost 30 years, I loved this video. The Owyhees are beautiful and diverse. You have inspired me to go explore my back yard, basically. Those big crickets are Mormon crickets, and yes, it’s a seasonal thing and they are nasty, gross creatures. Glad you enjoyed your experience in the Owyhees! Oh, and BTW, you just do your content however you want and block the haters. They are bold and everywhere these days, and they need to be blocked.
I watch for the adventure no matter what ya'll do. You guys actually inspired me to start filming and posting what i do for others to enjoy. Although mine is Jeepin&Explorin and i love Jeeps i plan on some hiking, cave crawling etc. videos. Waiting to see how that goes? Haven't started getting comments yet but I'm prepared for the negativity that comes. Thanks for what you do.
As a recently new subscriber I originally watched your videos because overlanding and jeeps but as days go by I like you guys as a person and kinda grew on me. As corny that may sound orginally because jeeps and everything that involved that but now you guys just kind of grew on me love content and diverse. Got me as subscriber. So many videos to catch up too 😅❤
Hi Guys first of all thanks for sharing your awesome trip. If you ask me why I like your video, for answering to your question, I think that all the elements are necessary. I like your personality, I like your vehicle and I love the locations and the drone records. It's a great mix but as you said if you go crazy and replace the Gladiator I don't know.. the mix of the vehicle is important in my opinion and your mix here is absolutely great even in terms of equipment. I hope you appreciate an honest comment from a viewer, see you at the next 😁
I just recently found uour channel and have rally like what I have watched. You asked about what people would like or not. You and your friend be you put what ever you want on your channel. I would have loved to do these kinds of adventures with my parents ( neither of them were campers 😀). The experience of seeing what our country offers is beautiful. You can Nver please everyone and there are people out there that just look for something to spuee negativity and that is their joy. Block and move on to your next adventure 😀
It's so sad that you even have to give a disclaimer about the type of videos that you make. I've been watching these videos, along with plenty of other videos because I want to do this so bad. It's so motivating to watch. This is inspiring me to do what makes me happy. I suggest you just delete the negative comments because I'm sure most of us come here and love what we see. I can't wait to do this!
Well as of today which it is January 8, 2024 you have a new subscriber absolutely enjoyed everything that I’ve seen so far. Thanks for sharing your life with us. This is Scott from Pleasant Grove Utah.
I am really enjoying this video. I have lived in Oregon all my life, born here too. I have never seen this part of Oregon. My family has always lived in the upper NW corner of the State up and around Portland and Gresham area. Gresham is about 14 miles east of Portland, heading toward the Gorge and Mt. Hood. Our Family always spent our vacations exploring the Coastline, up and down and and more of the Valley around Sliverton where my mom's parents had farmland and around Salem where my Dad's parents lived. Those are the familar places. Also Woodburn area and as a student in high school I traveled as far as Eugene and Mediford. That is as far South I traveled in the interior of the state. I have never seen Crator Lake, but would like to some day soon, as I am now 61 years old. I been as far south on the Coast as Florence Oregon and all the way North to Astoria. So I have seen alot of our Coast line it is gorgeous even in the rain and when it is stormy, which is really my favorite time to watch the ocean. When we camped as a family, we camped at either Fort Stevens, not far from Warrington, which is close to Astoria, or we camped at Beverly Beach State Park, which is not far from Lincoln City, which is pretty close to Depot Bay and Newport. WE went to all of those places and explored the cities and the beaches. They have changed much in 40 years. I have been there since as an older adult with church friends. Believe me, beach erosion has totally changed the camping grounds at Beverly Beach, so that I no longer recognize our favorite campsite anymore. It just does not exist. The ginormous area that was once a rainforested area were we traded tree knocking with a big foot is now gone! AT Fort Stevens, it is so over developed that I no longer recognize where we used to camp, and so much of the forest has been cut down, that I cannot believe it. Coffenberry Lake looks pretty dirty now and I was disappointed to see the algee in it. So much of beautiful Oregon is disappearing I just cannot believe it. IT looks like YOU found an an area that is still not over run by tourists. So I stand amazed at its wildness. Thanks for the video, I will kike and subscribe, mostly for showing me a part of my home state that I have never seen in my lifetime, but always wanted to see. God bless you. Michelle R. from Gresham Oregon USA
I Love your content, I'm not a Jeep type of person, maybe in the future because I run a F250. Don't worry about the haters. Just keep doing what you do the best . Believe it or not i got into this because i wanted to be able to go surf fishing. Because of you videos i have already been to a couple of Expos and other location that are not the beach. Keep it frosty my friend.
I found your channel through Brad. Excellent video! I particularly liked the drone shots. We are currently out in Portland, Oregon. From here we plan on heading over to Owyhee Canyons. Looks like it will be an epic adventure.
Hateful people, will post hateful comments regardless of the content. Please, do not cater to the comments as a content creator. That is the worst thing you can do. Much love! 💕
The views are awesome, but the terrain is nothing for your equipment. You guys killed it . Then again, having the right equipment makes all the difference. Great video!!
What an awesome adventure . . . Now I will begin watching your “Solo” journey in New Mexico and Colorado. I bet it is as good as this video! Peace. P.S. Kiara’s(?) weight loss is amazing, congratulations!
Don’t change a thing Matt. I enjoy watching your videos whether you’re creeping through Moab or crawling through Arkansas. I’d watch even if you figured out how to put 38’s on a Yugo as long as you gave us the same content on your ventures across the country. Because of you I’m learning of all the cool places to go close to home here in McKinney Texas. I have a couple of rigs that I need to get out on the road but work has put a damper on that currently. So for now I’ll just have to watch.
Hey brother, I enjoyed your video, Brad was a surprise encounter. Honestly, if people are rude to you guys, well, you didn't need them along for the rude. Always enjoy your videos. People do evolve, I personally have still had my 08 Ram, but I have been playing with my PW and my new experience a Roamer One overland RV. You guys should shoot down this way, to Margaritaville. BAJA style shoot down the coast of the Sea of Cortez, camping on the beach, small Mexican towns. All the way to Cabo San Lucas. Warm beaches, cold Mexican beer, and fish tacos all day long. Doors always open..
I always enjoy your videos and content! This was an excellent adventure! The before videos and now. Great work! I’m not gonna lie I’m super jealous but I envy you for it. I’d love to be able to do something like this full time.
Great video. I hope to be able to visit the Northwest eventually. Someone should get you a CamelBak water bladder for Christmas. Gotta stay hydrated on those long hikes up a mountain.
I'm watching because we live in the Ozarks, West Plains, and we got a Wrangler now, but I've been watching before that, mostly when I'm rving and have nothing to do, both worlds are incredible interesting...
Awesome video!! Owyhee Canyon and Succor Creek are out of this world!! Can't say enough about how beautiful eastern Oregon is. I use UA-cam to find places to explore. so I am very guilty!!! But I wish some places were still secret. ( I'm from Eastern Oregon) From a subscriber stand point, your question about differing content. As I said before I watch UA-cam to find places to explore. For me as long as you're exploring the outdoors what you drive or hike does not matter!!! Isn't that what overlanding is all about!!!
Cool trip. You’re in a remote part of Oregon that even a lot of Oregonians haven’t had the chance to explore. I’m in the Portland area, and I do miss southeastern Oregon.
I just found you. You’re playing in my neck of the desert.🤗 Wow! Good job on the weight loss. I grew up and have lived all over Oregon. So glad you are enjoying it here. The politics here will keep you from trying to live here..😢
One thing you need to know about camping in Oregon, reservations to camp in Oregon are about 2 years in advance in some places! Camping has become so popular. When I was a kid, I did not know that my Dad booked our campsite one year in advance either, but he did! So, camping is very popular in this state. On Holidays, if you have not booked your campsite at least 2 1/2 years in advance, you will not find a campsite anywhere! This is the truth of it!
I've watched this beautiful trip of yours before and watching again now. Oregon is beautiful . May I ask what offroad trailer Cara has in tow? I am looking to buy one very soon and I don't recognize that one. Also does Cara have her own channel bc you mentioned her being there much longer than you and her recording that trip as well but I don't see it added to your channel? Thank you. Watching and building my rig and adding beautiful destinations to my Overlanding bucket list. Amen to what you said Matt.....Make memories! Stop dreaming and get out and make memories! I look forward to doing to very soon. Love your videos. ❤👎
The van is just another form of overlanding. It's just giving options. I'm looking at getting either a black series or a roamer1 here in the next few months as an option.
What ypu drive doesn't matter. I watch you because you're local to me. BUT, when it comes to other channels I watch them because they show what I'm interested in. I started watching Trip In A Van because I was looking for Land Cruiser content, and my other main thing I look for is family content. Because any two adults can go out but its a whole another world to do that with kids. So TIAV is our fav! So, what you drive matters, but it would never make me hate in the commests or unsubscribe. I'll keep watching you or even my other favorite storytellers like Venture2Roam which I found from only you guys way back in the day when you had them on in your podcast like videos you used to do. Even tho he bought a new 392 Wrangler I overlook that and love his story telling. The way he does his voice overs with history of the land and gives a synopsis if their adventure I wish everyone did. With less facetime vlogs. Yes thats directed at you Matt. Haha.Haters in the comments, forget them. They suck!
How dope would be if you could talk through a loud speaker on your drone!? You could of spotted her doing that hill climb from the drivers seat of your Jeep!
In reference to Pacific City, and how to get to the 'tunnel', you have to climb the dune and go toward the ocean from the top. There will be a 'not exactly a trail' that will get you down to that little cove. I will add that it is dangerous so people know to be careful getting down (and back up).
when I see the overlanding in the title, the very first thing I think is what are they trying to sell me? Took all of 2 minutes to see a commercial and now I bid adios. The real motivation for these videos is under the ......more section
I like your videos because of all that you incorporate into it. People shouldn't bash Revere overland because he is traveling with his wife and baby. It's an adventure of people and their lives.

53:42 “Die with memories; not dreams!” Wow, seriously a profound statement… love it!
Another great vid! Love you guys!
Thank you!
I support Brad and the van. I appreciate the vehicle diversity!
Danielle killed that climb. She's a Rockstar.
Yes she did!! I was cheering her on! You go GIRL!
Glad you love my home state! It truly is a great place to live. Videos like this have inspired me to get out and explore it more!
When the guy showed up in the Mercedes van I thought he was delivering a UPS package. Love your videos and Karen is doing AWESOME losing the weight!!
Dude, I’m totally digging the super long video. I hope you and yours had a safe and most enjoyable trip.
Thanks a ton!

You’re right in the neck of my woods! That’s crazy and great vids, really enjoy all your hard work that you put into these videos! Keep it up 👍
Good moving from Brisbane Australia! Love watching the adventures, videos are informative and easy watching! Keep em coming!

So many videos to catch up too 😅❤
Thanks, we appreciate that!
Just got back from a 10 state trip and Oregon was beautiful definitely going back !
I made popcorn for this one>>> Awesome!!
Thanks so much!!!
Always love watching y’all’s videos, great content and support for the overland community!
Much appreciated!
Such an amazing group of friends. I’ve been watching you for weeks on tv. I finally pulled out my phone to sub 😂
Thanks so much!!
Your photography skills are excellent! I wish I could travel there someday!
WOW ! I watch a lot of your videos, great videos THANK YOU!
Очень красиво! Природа как у нас вокруг Алматы. И каньоны и горы и плато и озёра.
Thank you for a Beautiful trip in SE Oregon. I Loved it! ❤
Glad you enjoyed our part of the country. Living in Central Oregon I’m looking forward to exploring some of the Owyhee that you traveled
I found your channel through Brad. Excellent video! I particularly liked the drone shots. We are currently out in Portland, Oregon. From here we plan on heading over to Owyhee Canyons. Looks like it will be an epic adventure.
Awesome! Thank you!
Your adventures are always inspiring😂
I watch your videos to get ideas on adventures I want to do. Not for the vehicle you drive. Love your videos.
I greatly appreciate your videos and how you incorporate everyone, even us insane people who drive Toyotas 😂.
Keep up the great content.
I appreciate that!
What an awesome adventure . . . Now I will begin watching your “Solo” journey in New Mexico and Colorado. I bet it is as good as this video! Peace. P.S. Kiara’s(?) weight loss is amazing, congratulations!
I like your jeep is the best video in the USA 🌎🌎🌎
I am from UK
Don’t change a thing Matt. I enjoy watching your videos whether you’re creeping through Moab or crawling through Arkansas. I’d watch even if you figured out how to put 38’s on a Yugo as long as you gave us the same content on your ventures across the country. Because of you I’m learning of all the cool places to go close to home here in McKinney Texas. I have a couple of rigs that I need to get out on the road but work has put a damper on that currently. So for now I’ll just have to watch.
Cara’s so awesome, I can’t jump out of a perfectly good airplane! 😬
A fantastic and complex adventure - awesome. 🤙
That was fun watching!
What an amazing video. Thanks
Thank you for such great content. I'm loving your videos and want to buy a Jeep now!
Cool trip. You’re in a remote part of Oregon that even a lot of Oregonians haven’t had the chance to explore. I’m in the Portland area, and I do miss southeastern Oregon.
Great video Matt. 🤙
I would like to get the battleburban done and ride with you guys next year. In Oregon. I want to check out eastern oregon. Spend a couple weeks.
Keep talking, we appreciate your comments. We been in many places in Oregon. HELL'S CANYON is my favorite, so keep your mouth rolling 😊
I just found you. You’re playing in my neck of the desert.🤗 Wow! Good job on the weight loss. I grew up and have lived all over Oregon. So glad you are enjoying it here. The politics here will keep you from trying to live here..😢
Cool clouds. Kind of just hanging there.
Oregon is a beautiful place. You really should make your way towards the Ochoco Mountains. Fun trials, lots of camping spots, and beautiful views.
Excellent hike man!
Thanks! 👍
33:00 - My jaw just dropped with an "O>M>G" at that campsite
Amazing video
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it!
They suck!
Thanks!! Will has the best voice overs for sure!!
I couldn’t care less about hiking or kids, I can skip over that stuff. I watch regularly because I like the show
Thanks!!!!
How dope would be if you could talk through a loud speaker on your drone!? You could of spotted her doing that hill climb from the drivers seat of your Jeep!
Fun
In reference to Pacific City, and how to get to the 'tunnel', you have to climb the dune and go toward the ocean from the top. There will be a 'not exactly a trail' that will get you down to that little cove. I will add that it is dangerous so people know to be careful getting down (and back up).
when I see the overlanding in the title, the very first thing I think is what are they trying to sell me? Took all of 2 minutes to see a commercial and now I bid adios. The real motivation for these videos is under the ......more section
It would have been great to see you guys get out the recovery rope and link together to conquer the water crossing.
Could I ask where you got the topography map on the hood of your Gladiator? It looks really nice.
