Thank you sooooo much! Great video, short, and easy to understand with a lot of information on what someone will need for this particular problem and where to buy the things ur gonna need! Thanks again. Love the fallen hero tribute at the end, so touching and important not to forget their sacrifice. Safe Travels ❤️
Thank you - So glad you found it useful! 😊
Great video...much needed information...and you stay clean and dry! Thanks; watch every week!!
Glad it helped.
Nice product and great explanation for its use; cheaper than a maserator pump, indeed. Also, as a USAF vet (Viet Nam era), I really appreciate you guys honoring a fallen brother/sister vet!
Y'all Be Safe!
Thank you. And thank you for your service and sacrifice. It is our pleasure to honor these heroes.
Great video and great information. Great job on showing how to do it. Looks easy but it’s a tough job and it needs to be done. Thank you Dustin! See you soon! Travel safe.
It is a dirty job, but all a part of the RV life. Way better than going to work. 😄
SH!@% runs downhill till you change the physics... Good vid!
Thanks!
Best dump ever...expert job, Dustin. Thanks for the tip regarding the hose rinser. Just ordered one from your Amazon link.
Thanks. We appreciate it.
Great presentation and much needed advice. I had forgotten about the adapter that goes into the sewer. THANK YOU for all you do.
Our pleasure. Glad it helped.
That was Waggsational!
It’s funny we just picked up one of those. Great job on explaining how it works. There are two things you need to know to be a plumber. 1. Is water runs down hill. 2. Most important is never bite your nails. 🤣😆 Thanks for sharing stay safe and sending love your way! ❤️🤣
🤣
Good information and “hands on” procedures!! Thanks
Thank you
Thank you for the video. I learn something every time you make an informational video
Happy to help
Great info! Just purchased all three. Better to have them and not need them then need them and not have them. Keep up the good work!
For sure. We hope they work well for you.
I have never saw this tip. I like how you explained how to use it.
Happy to help
Thank You ! You have saved me a lot of grief .
Happy to help!
You should do that dumping process multiple times.
I like your video.
Thank you
Thanks, Just ordered the extender and the seal! Nice video 👍
Not sure how we missed this comment. The computer must think you are spam. lmao!
Good plan.
I've been in that situation more than once and have been lucky not to get hit yet but it's like pulling straws and hoping you don't draw the short one. I didn't even know that there was such a device I'll have to buy one. Thank you for telling us about it.
Happy to help
Thank you.
Great info!
Thanks. Happy to help
Great..Thanks
Good info. Thanks
Happy to help
Good job.
Thank you.
Great video guys. I am going to buy those items
We love them. They have saved us a lot of hassle.
man this is smart .. thank you
Happy to help.
oooooooo you about to have a poopy incident lol oh man what a handy little gadget welp you just gave me another reason to amazon. thank you for that lol. im goin to be all over that. but loved how you had to check your notes for the description. lol thank for sharing guys love ya.
Head injury. I need notes for everything. 🤣
I just leave a gray valve open so the line can vent as you lift the hose,
Many of times I have had the same issue, sometimes the way they build the RV spots they don't think of things and they probably never had a RV and I have used all 35 ft of sewer hose before and uphill LOL
I think that is true. We have had a lot of uphill sewer situations.
Great video…I use the Valterra “Sewer Solution”. It will pump uphill and it’s so much easier than going through all of that.
Never heard of it. We will have to look it up.
Thanks so much for the uphill tips, thumbs up. However, I would never use my white (potable) supply hose connected to the sewer system, just too much opportunity for contamination. I also use a backflow preventer when connecting my dedicated grey/black garden hose to a potable supply line.
It is a white hose but it is not the one we use for our fresh water. It is marked with black tape at the ends so we don't confuse them.
great info . I would change only one thing, that would have a different color hose for waste clean out. i would never want to use a clean out hose for potable water.
Good tip. Ours are the same color but we marked the ends of the flush hose with a sharpie that says "black".
Professor Poopsquire I presume...😂 it doth roll down hill one may say. Excellent elevating technique! jolly good! The old rinser fascinating, can you upload a pdf of your hose connections? 😂 you guys always rock 👍 ttyl ✌️
I can't upload pdf of UA-cam comments but there are links to the products in the description of the video. It will take you to the product on Amazon which has pictures.
@@WaywardWaggs pdf Lol I was just messing with ya! 😁😄😃😀😁😂😀
Good video. Two comments: (1) you had that water hose strung pretty tight. What did you have it tuned to? (2) great job showing how to flush out the hose and get in your aerobic exercise at the same time. Keep them videos coming and safe travels.
Thank you. We appreciate it. A little exercise is better than a black tank baptism. 🤣
Thanks for the tips! Gotta keep you hose clean. We might have to get one of those.
🤣 Nobody likes dirty hose.
Check out valterra t58 twist-on waste valve its sold on amazon for like 20 bucks.. It gets rid of that little bit of water or whatever comes out when yea pull the sewer hose off.
We will check it out. Thanks for telling us about it.
Stinky Slinky management! It worked well. Do you have a black tank spray down valve?
We do have the black tank spray down valve. We will have to do a separate video on that one.
This is what i call a badly designed rv park. I will usually find a different site next time and if not possible i scratch it off my list. It's just a pain to do this. But this is a great way to deal with it. I have that same valve sprayer and use it every time.
I agree. Thankfully that has been the one and only park so far that we've had this issue.
Hi there, great video. quick question. I have installed permanent connection to my RV to my sewer line beside the house that leads to the city line. I have installed sewer pump to pump it better, my question is, should keep the black and gray valve ON all the time, if not why not? thanks
I don't know much about sewer pumps but you should keep your black tank valve closed and dump periodically. If you leave it open all the time, all of the liquid will run out and solids will stay and build up in the tank.
You are a turd magician! Nice work!
🤣 Thanks
Why did you not back your trailer up ? You had 20 ft behind your trailer where the truck is parked? Why ?
The hose would have still been uphill.
👍🏻
What concerns me with this method is that I don’t see a back flow bib on the fresh water hose connection which will prevent sewer waste from back flowing into the potable water system. So essentially it’s connecting a potable ( drinking water) line to a sewer line😳😳😳
There is a backflow preventor inside the device itself so water can't flow back into the hose.
I am very surprised that you don't have the Valterra T50 3" Hub x 3" Bay with Cap Valve Assembly,Black on the end of the sewer connection
We will have to look into that.
Good job... nothing worse than being covered in sH!t trying to clean out your hose. Great video my friend
I was hoping it wouldn't be a sh#tty video. 🤣
Does the hose rinse have a back flow preventer?
Yes it does.
I carry 3 10 ft and 1 5 feet, had to use all 1 time on this trip.
Wow. That sewer hookup must have been pretty far away.
@@WaywardWaggs sewer connection in middle of 37 ft motorhome and dump connection was behind rv.
😯
Question. When your septic inlet is higher than your drain, what is the trick for just normal use? I have to go out 3 or 4 times a day to clear the line.
When we have an uphill inlet, we keep our gray tanks closed. When they are close to full, we open them and the force of the water pushes it uphill. When you get done, your drain hose will be full of water but your tanks will be empty. If you leave your gray valve open, normal use will not have enough pressure to push the water uphill and out. Hope this helps.
@@WaywardWaggs thank you! Would a macerator help?
I'm not sure. We don't have any experience with a macerator. It might.
1) You are supposed to use an orange water hose when connecting to any sewer pipe to flush it. 2) You cannot use hose splitter / y valves on the water spigot in an RV park. Even with an anti siphon valve on the park spigot, water still can feed back into the water system from the hose you have hooked up to the flush fitting you are using. Every campground I have stayed at has signs prohibiting splitter valves on their water faucets and a water sheriff going around removing them.
We have the hose we use to flush the black tank marked so it only gets used for that. We have been full time for almost 4 years and have never been told we had to remove our splitter. If any "water sheriff" ever tried to remove mine without permission, he would have bigger problems than water.
I can understand the concern but I've been camping for 10 years and I've never seen a sign prohibiting splitter valves. And God help the "water sheriff" if he ever removed mine without talking to me about it first. 😃
I use splitters whenever there aren't two spigot for over 20 years, and I have never seen a single sign it sounds like any rv park without two needs to be updated.
I’ve never had an issue with splitter. You must be in California!
Concerned about contaminating your hose?
It has a backflow preventer and I use a different hose for flushing than I do for water to the RV.
Didnt know they made that peice. I've spent more money than that trying to modify things to do that
Glad we could help
THERE always another gadget
way to much work
Thats to much work.
You do what you have to do when sewer connections are too high
RV Living, where you get to play with your dookie twice!!
🤣
why the frick do they do that shit!!!!
Not sure. It is very annoying. Not sure who is designing these places.
Since you insist on having a white hose, please at least use some red tape or spray paint on it 🤢🤮.
You can't see it in the video, but the ends of the hose is colored with a sharpie so we don't accidentally grab the wrong hose.
@@WaywardWaggs now we're sh!##ing in high cotton 🤣👍🏾
