I’m so glad I came across your video just watched the other video I recently purchased a rv for my daughter to live in on my property and I’m completely clueless on where to even start. These videos have been great! I don’t wanna dig my yard up so thank you . I agree it’s not illegal when your paying for it on your land! You don’t have to justify yourself everyone has their opinion but it’s your land!!! Subscribed

Also, most code violations only applied to permanent structures. If your add-on is 'temporary', it may not be a violation. It is really up to the local codes if dumping into your cleanout is legal. In many it is, in some it is not. And you're right. Even if it is a violation, it isn't criminal.

In the area where I live, many of the property owners keep their RVs at their homes. This is allowed as long as it is done in a neat orderly manner Most of these RVs sit on concrete pads that are covered (like a carport) and have full hookups (electric, water and sewer) so they can be used for overnight visitors. Among our neighbors are a city mayor, two city council members, an attorney, a surveyor, my daughter is a real estate agent and I am a homebuilder. We are ALL aware of building codes and rules and regulations set in place by our Property Owners Association, and their is nothing in the documents of either addressing the storage or use of RVs. After a short discussion of your concern, we can't see a problem, other than the leak. It all depends on where you live and how stringent the codes, rules and regulations are. I wouldn't worry too much about the nosy neighborhood nazis who try to make your business, their business.

@@Buckwsrmy gmas house has a septic that’s on the ground. I would need one of those wrenches to open it and just put my sewage plug into it. But wouldn’t that close the connection so the sewage pouring in will be closed off? Isn’t there a type of cap meant for the rv sewage hookup? Like a cap on top of the lid?

Thank you for sharing. I live in Texas and at one point the small town I live in now was coded no restrictions and the Lot next to me which I own as well had an Rv, there is power running to it from my house but no sewer from what I am aware of. So the other day I had an idea like yours, either renting it out full time or one/two nights since we live close to the lake. I called the city and they basically told me NO. They said I can hook it up to the electricity to keep my appliances running but I couldn't rent it out for any reason. I said my mom comes from out town I would like a place for her to stay a few nights and she said no. I was disappointed. We pay taxes and utilities, we should be able to do what we want as long as it doesn't harm anyone. Either way I thought about still doing it, but now that I mentioned it to them I am bit nervous about it. I don't have an RV but I was planning to get one and do what you are doing. I can't find any clean outs either. Might be buried somewhere. Any advice on any of this?

Septic Tanks are Sized to the number of bedrooms in your house, a smaller house will have a smaller septic tank. They weren't designed to dump 100 gallons at one time into them.
My class C RV has 35 gallon Black and a 35 gallon Gray Tanks, so dumping 35 gallons from your Black tank, then another 20 gallons when you flush your black tank, then another 35 gallons from your Gray tank into your septic tank. That's almost 100 gallons going into your septic tank at one time. What are the chances of over filling and causing your septic tank to back up into your RV, or into the house?

the legal standpoint depends on what state or county your in. its perfectly legal in Florida as long as u have it set back a certain amount of feet to your zoning laws and it must be connected to your septic and have electricity. as long as u meet all these stipulations its perfectly legal in the state of Florida. now any other place I haven't checked because I live in Florida and I plan on doing this for my son so he can save his money and buy his own property one day and start a family.

I appreciate your work on this project, both times. But I wonder why you didn't expose the Pipe with concrete around it at the start of the original video and see how deep it was. And then replace the elbow with a T and then dig a trench straight to the RV site saving pipe lengths and put a permanent RV Dump Connection there. All would be underground if you had enough fall and you would have still had the original Dump in your fenced yard at the side of your house.

Give you a better answer to is it legal or is it not? That all depends on your area and the code to your area but most of the time if you have it hooked up to your septic tank as long as it does not get put in the wrong side of the septic tank and you have a vent still open for your septic tank you’ll be fine just check in your local areas code, but city sewage I would not recommend it

ok, you are justifying this from the from context. you are paying for the water, electricity, trash pick as a service. it is not yours. They charge you a fee and allow you to use that service. The internet connection to your house, is not yours. So leave that justification. Now, i am an ex-electrician and know how to run wire from my mom's home to her shed and know the proper codes to do so and did it. However, it is still illegal what i did because because i did not get a permit and you are not allow to even replace a light switch in my county without a permit. Now, i am wrong, however if i called the county and told them i burried wire 6 ft deep trench inside outdoor grade PVC electrical conduit......all that verbiage means nothing when talking to him and they will bite their nails while thinking about the coworker with the short skirt instead of you. Either two things are going to happen, they are going to say who cares, or come out and make me re-dig the trench so they can inspect it. they are not going to asked for the work order from a license electrician to prove it was done in that manner and i have done electrical work all over the county without permits, and was not suppose to. now what i would not do is installed a main feed wire for the house or add a building and run water to it and tie into the septic because that in itself the county would force me to tear down the structure. So i called the county and asked what size building could i add to my mom's land, and do i have to increase the size for the septic tank. And if they say yes, and i could not afford the septic, then i will replan what i am going to do. What Buck is doing, the worst thing that will happen is they would tell him do not do it any more, cap the pipe off, or increase the size of the septic. You people think that illegal means that the the millitary is coming with warheads to put him down. whatever. Buck can do what the hell he wants and deal with the consequences when he wants with his shit until someone says he cannot and guess what. He could still do it after they leave and make it so no body knows it is hooked up. you know what is funny. Every one bitches about the laws of the government, and immediately turns on their fellow man under that system-of-control and reports them to the same governement they bitch about. Which in itself tells you why authority will always be needed with human beings. How dare the government try to control us and how dare you break those controlling bastards laws. LOL, always trips me out. I am hooking up my rv to my septic in a way that i can unhook it to travel with the trailer when i want to, and i am not asking permission for that. I asked for permission with septic tank and for building an addition and what size of an addition i could put. the reprecautions of the rv is being told to unhook the pipe from the rv. WOW, they really bent me over if that happens. It is not that serious. So if it is found out, they will either say who cares or i will be asking for forgiveness about not asking for permission and say opps it did not know. You might want to be a company-man for the Government laws, but some of us have balls to make low risk choices especially on something that is so minute. And we are man or woman enough to adapt if we are told no later. You the man buck, now tell me how to hook my trailer camper to my septic from stratch so i can understand how i am going to do this. I want to be able to run my water, take my showers, run my washing machine, run my dishwasher, and flush my toilet without never having to worry about tanks filling up or dumping. So if i want to run my sink for 24 hours, i can. Help me out champ

At first, I thought, wow, this was 4 yrs thought, but yhen I saw that you posted your comment about a month ago. I hope you can perhaps give me some insight into this, as you sound like you dealt with the same government officials that happen to be giving me the screws.
Long story short...I had a house fire 2 years ago, unfortunately, without homeowners insurance..pretty much turned my entire retirement investment, including my life's worth of belongings and all of the driftwood sculptures and artwork, from my business, into ashes.
Accepting this, moving forward...I rented an apartment in town for the better part of the first year. I wasn't getting anywhere, deserting my property, along with the remains of half the burned structure and all the debris. I have a camper on the property, but it's never been hooked up to a septic tank. I go the fitness center frequently or my friends house to shower. Being on a very limited income from social security has made it difficult to say the least, to save enough for what needs to be done here. Just the basic things in life ... i can't even tell you how much I appreciate them now. It's been challenging, but I survived the fire...I can live a little while without the basics, so I could save up to reconnect my water and plumbing. I was also hoping to sell half an acre, cheap...just to have the comfort of life again. Okay, sorry for the rambling..just wanted to give you the background. So, as life would have it, being humbled and grateful for all I still have and minding my own business ... doesn't stop the haters. I'm very hidden and my property is very private, I staybyo myself and I'm always helping out others in times of need. But someone who apparently was bored with their life, had to create a stressful situation for me. They anonymously called the health department..which came up to my mountain, took pics..and left. I was served a notice to have a septic system installed and hooked up to my camper/travel trailer or connecting it to the existing septic from the old house. I have 3 days left. I even thought of renting a portable potty, to get them off my back. They're not supportive and not very understanding. They wouldn't give me an extension. I'm going through UA-cam's videos searching for the best solution. I don't have very much in the way of funds, and the bank won't loan for vacant land.
I'll get this done, and make sure I jump through all of their hoops...but I really wish some of these officials would be a bit more empathic to other people's situations. That all disclosed, if you or anyone could give me some quick tips to make this project a smooth process, boy...I'd be forever thankful! In love and light, thank you.

Friends, neighbors, Renters, anyone who decides to get into your business needs to be permanently rejected
Some people are just not fit to be in some people circles

If they don’t know how to rent and have a life, they’ll be finding another place to live. It’s just simple simple
