WHAT IS BIG AMBITIONS?
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you're starting with absolutely nothing.
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can't buy time.

It'd be real nice if we could assign the cleaning employees to do a couple hours at each store...
It used to be that way. I feel without the ability to do that, it becomes something people will just have CS people do before business open (which you can do, and I will do for some businesses to show that)

Peaceful work environment means that you as the boss needs to have at least 50% happiness to satisfy that.
I followed you. I appreciate the stream. I wouldn't have even known this was coming out. It's the kind of game I use to love back in the day. Its what makes pc gaming so unique.
I obviously love city builders and all, but I remember an old game called Pizza Tycoon, that I absolutely loved.

It will be awesome if there was a new update or dlc for Police HQ/Impound Lot and A Court House/for Speeding/Parking Tickets
Well in the roadmap speeding tickets will be a thing.
SKU = Stock Keeping Unit.
Instead of buying things in small amounts and having to go back and forth, when you're at the furniture store, you can talk to the manager and just deliver a bunch of stuff.
This is already known, and has already been shown. There is a delivery fee associated with doing this.

Hey Charlie, would there be a difference in specializing a restraurant compared to a one size fits all? Looking forward to getting this game
Possibly yes. I plan to do this as well in this playthrough. If the demand for a product is low in an area. You don’t have to offer it. :)

What about keeping your restaurants more focused in a single category, burgers fries, soda, pizza salad, and soda couldn’t be a little easier to manage

Personly, I think the cost of doing that wouldn't be worthwhile.
It's far more efficient having everything in one store.
Unless the demand is extremely high.
Or near the end game, when we finally take over business, this could be worthwhile

they would add that you can build walls in them so you can build offices and coffee rooms
Could you have two computers on a single desk, with two office workers?
The desk + computer combination counts as a single workstation. To have two work stations, you would need two combos of those things. :)

Just got this game yesterday evening and already started up hard mode. It isn't hard mode if the loan hack hasn't changed though

Great videos Charlie. Helped me get up and running without too many mistakes. Quick question - what does the (D2) for example mean next to the size of a building? @ 3:21
It's the building layout/design classification within the game. So basically, all D2's have the same layout. Sometimes you'll see retail buildings that are C1, and then C2, etc. It has to do with how large it is inside, and the variant of design for that size.

I had to come back to watch this as I was confused as hell trying to set this up.
I noticed that the appointed driver was only 38% so I have to ask does it not make a difference with driver skill levels or are you planning on training him later?
Better skills required to drive the large truck.
The restaurant would make more money if you sold the products above market price.
Tell me… what do you do when you look for something to buy, and see it in a store more expensive than it is someplace else? Do yo buy it?
Sure, raising prices can make more per product, and perhaps it doesn’t apply in this game, but economically speaking, it will reduce demand, and you will sell less products overall. With good margins, I’d rather use volume to my advantage than be exposed to the risk of an inelastic demand. I think you’ll find that raising the price in the restaurant where I have lots of competition in the neighborhood will lead to lower sales. The gift shop gets way with it already, because I have little competition. Raise the price enough though, and they still won’t buy nearly as much. I’ll lose money overall with higher prices at some point.
@@CharliePryor You can raise prices when the customer service skill of the wage slaves working there is >80%, so going for HR and auto-train the workers on the job is a high priority. Came in quite handy when I decided to run an army of lawyers out of cheap cramped offices: base price is 225 bucks/hour/lawyer. I managed to ramp that up to over 300 without suffering the consequences of ripping off people.
@@sindurgoku8022 that is an interesting dynamic. Where are you seeing information on the 80% number? I’ve not heard of this before
@@CharliePryor Good old trial&error, plus gut feeling. I don't recommend going with lawyers first, tho, they're quite tricky to keep working. ;D
On the HR: it's a good investment anyway, since aside from the auto-training ability (which does save boatloads of cash) these guys offer, they also hire temp-workers when one of your workers calls in sick.
yo why can't my drivers restock my shops in a single night? i sell 500 donuts daily and 3 other products in a same shop. but drivers restock only 1 of them in like 2 days
They will restock every day, if you set it that way. It has to be your settings for logistics, either on the purchase side (you don’t have enough product to take to the store) or your trucks aren’t sent to keep enough in stock
@@CharliePryor they sometimes restock 1 of my shops like once in a week. the other shops are always out of stock and not restocking. even if I have enough product in my warehouse. I have 2 uhc desert trucks and 2 drivers. i also set my logistic settings perfectly like they will fit in stocks in my shops.
Thank you for the videos! I really enjoy them and I also love the game. However, I am uncertain about how to modify the warehouse delivery settings. Currently, it is set to deliver to my gift shop but I would like it to go directly to my restaurant instead. Could someone kindly assist me with this issue?
BIZMAN > click on HQ, go to logistics and “Add destination” to include your other store.

You can see the minimum requirements on the steam page. I'm not a good source to ask, as my system is powerful. I suspect it's on the lighter side though. You can see my frame rates always displayed in the bottom center of the screen, and I have it set to max 120

Why did you not pay the taxes on day 60? i think they didnt charge you for the first year or you didnt show it to us.
I didn’t pay it for the first year. My only guess is that my expenses exceeded my profit on day 60, for example I perhaps had very little in my account on day 60, and didn’t owe anything.
That’s the only explanation I have.

Another idea, as I just want back to video 8 (where time ticked through day 60) is that I still had a task for the HQ in Uncle Fred’s objective list. I was doing my own thing and not following his steps exactly back then, so it’s possible that because that quest objective was still active, perhaps the game didn’t consider me far enough along to tax me then.
I have no idea though.
idk bro but in 10 days i reached 20k/day xD
I mostly ignored the uncle fred objectives,cause the tutorial is quite bad and sets u down expensive route with the takeaway. I set up a a giftshop with a 30 customer cap and on day 5 i had 5k profit already in hard mode. Then i opened a law firm in midtown charging 1100$/h with 10 desks. Then i was already at like 155k profit/day on day 15. You were taking way too long with the objectives. The sooner u get to imports the better and the sooner u get HR the better also. Leaving u open to build more businesses instead of having to spend all day only on shop stocking.
Being a 55 year-old office worker, I find your ageism somewhat disturbing. ;-)

I'm sure it was random but I am binge watching right now and that seems to me to be the vehicle most abused.
I just bought the game myself, but I'll catch right up in the series tonight, (UK) and start my game some time this afternoon, 2am here.
