Here I am "I wish I knew I had ADHD before college" and one reason being I could've just taken extra year to graduate and taking harder courses in summers without getting judged or feel weird or feeling like a loser who couldn't handle normal stress.
How do you stay focused and motivated with coursework that you’re not interested in? General Education courses and whatever other course you’re not interested in? Staying motivated and not getting bored.
vyvanse. sleep. good morning routines and healthy habits! and lots of micro breaks. realize your mind is lacking electrolytes and dopamine, something that will quickly disrupt your mood, thought process and incresse frustration, may cause lower back pain. understand your body and its ability to burn all resources asap, so load up with a healthy large breakfast to slow down the furnace before lunch hits.
You sound like me because when you’re not focus on the subject and you are forced to learn something you’re easily bored and start to wonder off and I always ask myself how do you stay focused on something that you are forced to learn or not Even interested in
@@Kaydiva318 yeah. It’s something I’m struggling with. I end up going over the same thing 10 plus times because I can’t seem to focus my attention. Even now, I’m watching a training video that’s about 5 minutes and I’ve been on the same video for about an hour lol 😅😩.
@Soul, some schools allow the selection of classes, but in others, these are fixed. Back in time, what worked for me were two options: look for the most mundane application for each topic discussed (romantic idea, not really efficient); when that failed: select what is the minimal amount of issues required to pass and move out of this class (that used to work well!)
Being mindful with study breaks is the biggest game changer I've had with school! It refreshes my mind and reduces stress around schoolwork. Which has an added bonus of alleviating academic paralysis.
I'm not lazy, I work really hard but I need more lessons and more chances ro get the points I need to pass. Give me extra homework, give me extra everything, I need more chances and a lot of time I don't have that😢
How bad was the anxiety? Was it severe? I have adhd with recently developed social anxiety that appeared out of nowhere quickly and got severe (I was an extrovert years ago). Not sure if I’m mentally stable to go to a college
Usually you can get more time for tests, be able to be put in a separate room for with no distractions. I am not sure for work I have never asked but I believe there might be it just depends on the company.

Can you take these supplementals while being on meds? (Vyvanse)
What about marijuana?
Where did you get the info on the supplements?
Did you get time management and planning skills from the college you attended?
I stay up until 5
Also, were you on medication?
When it comes to work or school, what kind of accommodations can be made for someone with ADHD?
