    Although this video may provide you with the basic procedures for a 2001-2021 Toyota Highlander, we recommend that you check with the vehicle manufacture's step by step instructions found in service/repair manuals for the vehicle you are working on because some year/model procedures may be different than the vehicle in this video.
    The battery in this video is a Group size 24F. This battery is AGM and perfectly suited for the start/stop system in this 2017 Highlander. Even if your vehicle did not come with an AGM battery, you can upgrade to an AGM battery for up to 2x the life. AGM can be found at most retail outlets. You can learn more about AGM here: www.autobatteries.com/battery...
    Check your specific make/model/year/trim to be sure you have the correct battery group size for your application.

Referring to our Memory Saving video will provide you with various memory saving procedures that can be used according to vehicle manufacturer's requirements. • Vehicle Memory Saving ...
    Some late model vehicles must have the 12 volt battery registered with the vehicle's Battery Control Module or Computer after replacement. See these videos on Battery registration and coding for more details on the procedures at • Battery Registration w... & • Battery Registration &...

    This video was perfect, thank you! I found that the bracket was REALLY tight on my new battery. To the point I had to force it down while tightening the bolt.

    Do you know if this particular car requires battery registration? Thanks so much for the video. Very helpful.

    Hi, in the description it says the vehicle is a 2017 and the video was posted a month ago. So did that particular old battery last 4 years before you changed it? I am deciding whether to stick with the original or go with a duralast platinum plus battery like the one you replaced in the video. Thanks in advance.

      Hi - Thanks for watching! Yes, the vehicle had the original battery. The battery we installed was provided by the vehicle owner.

      Hello! Was it as simple as plug and play? My battery went out and considering to just get a new one at costco.

      Hi - We recommend that you check with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions found in service/repair manuals because very few battery installations are "plug and play" these days.

    Is it true that the button start vehicles need to stick to batteries supplied by Toyota? I was told my brand new Die Hard needed to be replaced but it’s been working fine…

      Hi - Thanks for watching! Any battery that meets or exceeds the original equipment manufacturer’s specifications for the battery can be used without affecting the vehicle’s warrantee.

      @@TheBatteryShop lol they really tried to get me to pay $1k for a battery, break fluid, and something else (unnecessary stuff). Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep the battery I bought.

      @@Kayd2111I’ve asked a few auto mechanics the same question, and they told me a regular battery should be fine, but follow the owner’s manual if I feel more comfortable with that.

    Is it the right battery AGM ? But the original is EFB from Toyota

    • @TheBatteryShop
      @TheBatteryShop  Рік тому +1

      Hi - Thanks for watching! AGM batteries are the "step-up" technology from EFB. They are more leak proof, longer lasting and perform better.

      @yellow_panther Рік тому +2

      @@TheBatteryShop since the OEM battery is an EFB, will replacing it with an AGM be affected by the BMS? Does the 2017 highlander require any BMS adjustments after replacing the EFB with an AGM?
