Hello friends I have a video for you today - Its a brief overview of the newly announced returning Necron Illuminor Szeras and Necron Pariah.
We discovered a while ago that the next Psychic Awakening book would be titled PARIAH, and so it seems a reasonable assumption that Necron Pariahs will be returning to 40K in the near future. Especially considering the fragments of lore that exist involving Szeras. It would honestly just be weird for GW to have chosen to name this book Pariah and not bring them back? But then again… take no possibilities off the table yet. Trailer is here - thanks for supporting me and watching as always: ua-cam.com/video/nBIlGLDFRRY/v-deo.html
Your work is amazing . I would like more but I am a big believer in quality over quantity
CAN YOU LINK A ZIP FOR THE ARTWORK??? each of those would make a wallpaper!!! ... all i need are 40.000 screens and a graphic card to support it
ps. giving some credit to artists is always welcome with me!
*psy titans put themselves together* and if i am not mistaken *so do necrons* to some degree. makes sense.
Random question. Where do you get all the background art in your videos from? (I need a new computer background)
I think the new Pariahs as are going to be a mix of human, necron, and blackstone.
Szeras: "You know, I'm something of a scientist myself..."
To Fabious Bile
So the psychic awakening has changed the Necons overall story:
"YOU DAMN KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN! Ah crap now they're throwing rocks with their minds! That's it I'm gettin' me mallet!"
And pariahs are the mallet
Muriel where’s me mallet. A me mallet
C'TAN! SIC 'EM BOY!
*floating glowing man screams towards them*
Yoooo have did you get to use them Croatian/Glagolitic letters for ur name?
Nah that was the might of Matt "the mad scribe" Ward rewritting stuff. :P
@@the36lessons11 lmao
The detail of Szeras' simply turning off his own hearing to ignore the screaming of his victims is particularly terrifying.
That Illuminor model sums up what the Necrons are: terrifying.
In this case, they would physically open each other up and poke their brains
It is an amazing model.
Terrifying, in a somewhat detached way that makes us feel like nothing more than insects observed under a looking glass by a curious onlooker
Now a perfect excuse to get some Privateer Cryx stuff and start kitbashing it with Necrons.
from a Necron's perspective we are lil more than insects
4:33 “I actually have to personally agree, I like the chaotic nature”
*The Imperium would like to know your location*
Nay dear brother the inquisition is already at his door....
As a fan of the Necrons, I love this.
Cool story bro
There is another necron fan!
@@supernoloo7757 hooray for all 4 of us!
@@aliensasquatch7485 lmao
Necrons vs. Tyranids at the end of all things.
Benny hill music plays while the necrons try to stop the tyranids from consuming all life, and the tyranids try to avoid the necron
No dakka? I always thought the orks would still need around
No they are the best fan is.
They are thw "purest" races.
Necrons exist to destroy all life.
Tyranids exist to consume all life.
However the Necrons seem to simply exist.
The Tyranids always strive to better themselves.
That is why Tyranids are my favorite and I have about 4000 points.
That is why I am doing Necrons next.
Purity of being. Striving for perfection.
The Tyranids.
@@charles1890 much like the Borg in their quest for perfection and assimilating any races that they encounter.
However the Tyranids have a much more voracious appetite and will consume even the very planet.
I don't think anyone can stop them in the long run.
But I do think that the Necrons will outlast everyone else in the galaxy and I don't think that necrodermis tastes too good to the Tyranids.
And I figure that gauze weapons are effective against them.
Luetin, I’m thrilled you’ve taken a look at Necrons in the modern age. Their role is perhaps one of one my largest knowledge gaps in 40K and you have become my favourite and almost ‘only’ source of 40K knowledge.
Unless it’s in one of your videos it’s not worth knowing.
So please, throw more our way! When did the Necron wake? When did humanity notice? What are black stone pillars?
I don’t know the answer to any of these things. Can’t wait to find out.
The "Imperium" knew of the Necrons existence since about the great crusade era.
Infact the supreme ruler of the Necrons the Silent King Szarekh claims to have personally known and spoken to Sanguinius himself.
The problem with establishing when humanity had its first contact is that we know nothing about the golden ages and with that we know not if it was during that time.
And less so during the age of the Imperium as the Inquisition and the high lords for the longest times hid the existence of the Necrons. As even till late m41 their existence wasnt common knowledge even to the Guard or the Astartes.
I can try to answer some of these simply, if Leutin wants to go more in depth.
1. The Necrons woke at several different times. Most woke near the beginning of M41. Some, like the Sautekh Dynasty, barely went to sleep at all.
2. Humanity could have noticed during the DAoT, or during the Great Crusade. We don't know.
3. Black Stone Pillars likely refers to Necron Pylon networks. The Necrons don't like the Warp much, so they built pylons meant to contain warp storms and rifts like the Eye of Terror.
@@deanprowell7947 Also the Silent King never slept, and traveled around looking for a way to restore his people back to organic bodies. He could have met humanity at any time during this.
It been a year daddy
Well, isn't this a saturday night treat.
Amazing content, as always.
Is this your first video specifically about Necrons? You've covered the War in Heaven before, but I don't think I've seen anything about them otherwise in your playlists, which I'm still going through.
The only other time really was the first video I made talking about the beginning of time, and that one could do with some serious updating tbh
@@Luetin09 They were my favorite race years ago, but they've also been through so many substantial changes since their 5th ed codex that I feel like I don't know anything about them anymore. Thank god though, they needed more character than "we're all mindless space terminators."
@@PlagueOfGripes I'm somehow very relieved that many more seem to appreciate the Necron changes...
Always assumed most 40K Fans hate them now.
@@Luetin09 I've been looking at some of your older videos and thinking the same thing; specifically about the Necrons, but some of your other videos from ~6 years ago.
Fabius Bile and Szeras need to pick each others brains.
Lol with that phrasing, I'm sure they'd love to.
The three of them in one room.... End Times Confirmed!
@Cure4Living Fabius made perfect clones of Primarchs, Cawl only managed to clone half of their "immortality gland."
A mad scientist dinner party
He already kind of had that experience with Trazyn, in the novel "Fabius Bile: Clonelord." Trazyn, who isn't even a Cryptek, just kind of saw Fabius' handiwork as "cute" for the most part. Pretty sure Szeras would be much less pleasant about it.
Model looks insane epic. Love how Szeras is draining that chaos psycker his blood flesh psychic power swirling blood. Your narration is top notch Luetin I always listen to your videos.
Love 40k lore and thanks to your epic narration skills truly enjoyable to listen too.
@Cure4Living ok my bad. Imperial psycker getting his soul drained extracted.
I just want to thank you and all the other actual content creators out there that have been making 40K, D&D, and history videos these past weeks...
Keeping me sane between working from home and re-reading all my books I can't get more of right now.
I think many people are turning to UA-cam and Live Producers more than standard media, which speaks volumes
Those are the exact same videos I watch! History, Lore Videos, & D&D. Lol your my internet dopple ganger
you watch D&D Lore videos? or just gameplay
If the Pariahs return, I can finally bring mine out of retirement.
*stasis haha
i never bought em. Too pricey back in the day. I just focused on collecting more and more immortals. I miss T5. ):
I use mine as praetorians/lychguard. They are too awesome looking not to.
Nothing shits on your day like pariahs. It's like sisters of silence but worse
@@raze667 And yet if GW will redo them they will be 3 times more expansiv now.
The return of the Pariahs would also make sense because right now there's three characters against Szeras. Unless we're getting three other Necron HQ's it'll be a bit disappointing if all the xenos players get is an Eldar and a Necron.
Luetin cracking up when he says "you might say 40k doesnt care about your feelings" made me lose it
Your videos have made 40 k a part of my life in a way it really couldn't have been otherwise. The perfect blend of stroytelling, music, visuals and research is honestly stunning and i can't wait to see more. Thank you.
I've been a fan of your work for some time now, and I thoroughly appreciate you taking the time to put this together.
I find your videos among the most accurate and informative on the platform, and your presentation is excellent.
All props to you my dude 💯
Liking these shorter videos especially at this time of year as busy outside while the good weather is upon us in the UK, and it takes me many attempts to watch the longer videos
Keep up the good work, iwill hopefully be able to watch/keep up with the longer vids asap
I love when you do lore and info on the Necrons, it’s one of the main reasons I got into playing them in 40k
Just recently discovered this channel and have been thoroughly enjoying listening to these. Great content and production. The background music, rich description and explanation along with the visuals make these top notch videos. Really appreciate the effort you put into these, keep it up! Please make part 3 of the Dark Origins series.
Awesome, thank you!
Fully agree on the chaotic nature of the lore. It’s honestly what drew me into 40k in the first place ( as well as your dope ass content Luetin ). It sorta creates this infinite hype cycle of wondering what could return in future stories. Like you said I wanna see more fiction take this approach. Specifically universes like Star Wars. Great video as always man.
Love ya stuff m8. You have done a fine job at distilling a vast lore into enjoyable chunks of 40k goodness. Coupled with a subtle humor. Continue on the good work remembrancer
Cheers, thats the plan :D glad its enjoyable
"A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one"
Really enjoyed the video buddy, I have my fingers crossed for their return, such a cool unit :D NECRONS!!
Hey Leutin, I just finished the Grey Knight series you did. Keep the content coming my dude, interested to watch your entire series
thanks for new 40k content, i've been waiting for something like that!
Always glad to see new videos from Luetin
Love the increase of uploads lately, keep it up!
I never really cared too much about “believability” when it comes to 40k. I kinda just accepted that I left that at the door when I took the dive. XD
While being on a deployment I got super into 40K, read the books, snd played a few of the games. I personally think the lore is great.
@@daddydaddy_c00l82 it usually does, but also every single Sci fi universe has faster ftl travel. For example a relatively small fleet of clones from star wars could do massive damage to the imperium by only picking on weak and important worlds deep in the imperium and running away before any real counter attack could be made
@@roguepsykerhaaker4813
No? Do you even know how many people the imperial guard or a planetary defense can have? Without counting arbiters and inquisitorial forces.
@@1r0zz most of them do, but do you have any idea how many planets have next to no real protection? Feudal worlds, agri worlds, paradise worlds. Plenty of these could be easy targets. Not the most important target sure but still
@@roguepsykerhaaker4813
Paradise worlds are reasonably "guarded" as often, at least as far as I can tell, are market waypoints.
Feudal worlds and agri worlds are easy prey, but they are easy prey to everything... A single dark eldar ship would probably subjugate most resistance.
And yes, the imperium response would be slow, but crushing... The tau know something about it, and the tau are much more technological than the clone army.
@@1r0zz I'm not saying they'd do much of anything really but I do think they could exist as a constant thorn in the imperiums side almost indfinetly
Leutin
Thanks for all the content during these times mate
I love seeing my Necron tombship commission keeps making it into these lore vids.
4:50 this makes sense because of the chaotic universe and the *time gaps* happening... and the way humans *record history* :p Especially over 40k years
Just got into 40K, wanted to make a necron army to start, and i literally just decided yesterday that i wanted it to be led by Illuminor Szeras, but when i checked the GW model it hadn't been updated in a while. Was gonna buy it anyways, but i guess now i can just wait for this MASTERPIECE
I sat through some long ass ads to support my man Leutin09.... keep up the good work
Luetin's 40K videos add so much flavour to my 40K.
It's like adding honey to my tea.
Dude you're making awesome videos!
Space marine discover illiminours lab
"Can I help you?"
"Sorry I don't mean to pariah"
Perfect. I just beat the main story in Inquisitor prophecy and now I get to watch this.
Thanks Luetin, very cool.
A very extremely awesome video as always Luetin09.
Great video as always!!!!!
Thank you Luetin, so much, for this. My Nephew told me upon relenquishing all my Ultra Marines and paints/tools to him, (as I had not the time anymore, sadly), that he was really into Necrons. And this video turns up! :D This is brilliant! I can share it with him so he can learn more about Necrons! YAY! Mayhaps more info on its way hmmm? teehee :)

I was always intrested in 40k but I wasn't brave enough to plunge myself into the lore. Love your dedication and passion with the fact that You never beg for subscribers. You are the best thing to find in this lockdown. I just want to Thank you! (sorry for my bad english and I know you may not read this but you are for me the Adeptus Logos..... the Emperor Protects!)
Dude that miniature is fucking awesome
For a year I've fluffed that my Szeras-focused army had Pariah's via the assassin's he captured. This is wonderful news! :D
That's a fantastic model! The molding process has become so intricate in just the last 5 years or so.
Chaos and Necrons are always my favourite ty for video.
My favorite channel to fall asleep to. Even if it gives me weird dreams from time to time😅
Love your videos dude! :)
Thank you for another great video lord commander leutin
Dear Luetin. Awesome videos. Cant get enough of them. Warhammer40k never really caught my interest, until I fell upon your channel. You are exceptional good at explaining the lore, without confusing me with too much info or lack of the same. Please keep it up and take care...! Because, In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.
I plan to keep it going 👍
@@Luetin09 Very glad to hear!
All of that glorious old necron art just warms the metal confines of my synthetic heart.
I got my first taste of 40k in Dawn of War Dark Crusade.
So the Necrons have a special place in my heart.
Incoming: all the super nerds preparing their thesis’ for why Pariah’s coming back is proof of retconn and canon lol.
Games Workshop: MONEY.
Metal Storm47 yeah it’s like they’re a business or something.
The quest for more merchandising
I mean necron pariah are already semi Canon, just need to really redo and bring them back totally.
Knower of truth
Have you not been paying attention?
I love this lore, a lot. It fits really well into the scheming nature of the Necrons.
I also noticed the Necrons have heavy old school "alien abduction" cliche traits with their death scythe/night wings, and the gene manipulation and programmed actions fall right in line with that.
This gives me a bit of hope. Next hopefully they will bring back the C' tan for the table top along with some of the old lore. Not a fan how the Necrons evolved into 40k Tomb Kings....
Me either tbh, I should talk about it
@@Luetin09 Thank you. That would be great if you did. You really are the only 40k lore guy I trust to have an honest and well thought out dissucion about this issue. This is the one big thing that plagues me about 40k. Seeing I was around and playing when the Necrons were first just a White Dwarf magazine faction. They really changed their flavor. Keep up the good work. Thank you for what you do.
It's pretty crazy for you to post up this vid today especially with the model pics to, cous wolf lord rho just posted up an image of him own model painted up all most exactly the same.
I was glad to hear you mention that some fans love the "chaotic nature" of 40k and it's lore. I have been playing 40k and Fantasy since 1993 and have seen so many changes and contradictions, but overall have no complaints. Personally, I feel a reason could be some unknown, insanely powerful old one with galactic scale psker powers or even some mysterious Chaos God that (you could insert any reason here) was maybe having a psychological breakdown, only being concious for brief periods every few hundreds of years or even having a seizure, silly as it sounds, and these brief episodes cause changes on a galactic scale. Just like magic in the FATE anime series, the 40k lore gives a huge amount of freedom and opens up many possibilities more rigid structure wouldn't allow.
Necrons are my favorite , I wish there were more videos about them
You should do a video on the ranks classes and types offices and titles held of the imperium I find myself reading the Horace heresy and sometimes not knowing what people are or where they stand. Or if anyone knows of a breakdown video that would be awesome.
I like the Necrons, would love to see you touch on them in future videos.
Hi, I don't know if you've already done any video aboit 40K videogames but I am very interested on it. Maybe if you haven't done any video like that you could do one mentioning some worth-playing ones, and great video btw. Thanks
Subbed to you years ago for bf3 vids. Stumbled across ur content on warhammer now im sitting here 9 hours later cant stop watching never played the game either:)
welcome back :D
Thank you for the upload.
Luetin has become my history professor for 40K. Thanks for teaching us.
Awesome thank you Luetin
Can't wait to listen to this as I fall asleep for the next 2 weeks lol
I really hope with all these new releases we get pariahs back. Such a cool idea.
Me: Cool, new video!
Luetin: Continues previous rant on 40K lore/canon
lol, kidding
The chaotic nature of the lore also ensures you'll never run out of things to talk about
srsly dude you're basically Arch Warhammer but somehow more informative and with an angel's voice. so good. binging your vids was a blessing.
Great video. As always. As to why these things happen? It's a big galaxy. Keep the videos coming!
Word is travel agents in Commorragh offer trips into Szeras lab for some ultimate pleasure
I really wish you would cover even more necron related lore. This is really cool shit
A return of Pariah’s during the Psychic awakening is perfect.
It would make a lot of sense, I would actually be kind of annoyed if they dont follow through on this now, it would be a wasted opportunity
Good video!
Henry Cavill has a long way to go. Awesome work as always sir.
@luetin09 would you be able to do a full history of the Adeptus Custodes?
Thank you so much.. During this time of isolation your content has reintroduced to me to a whole world.. Nay a whole universe to delve into. Often dark and filled with violence but also filled with light and comradeship. Benevolence and real moments of human insight. Thanks to you I delved into Horus rising and completely immersed myself, and throuroughly enjoyed it. I have never read a 40k book before but thanks to the research on your channel I felt right at home. I would shake your hand, in the old fashioned Terra way, if it want for this pox. You do the Emporer's work and I thank you.
Thanks dude, be sure to check there is a new humble bundle out now for 40K books, and also I will have an Audible offer in the next few days
@@Luetin09 thank you. Just purchased the humble bundle. Do you have a recommended reading order? If it is not too much trouble. I will also wait on your audible offer. LUPERCAL!
@@Manac0r3 I never recommend a reading order for 40K just get in
Love the chaos of 40k. Anything is possible
I think the inconsistency in 40k's storytelling and over all lore really does give you this sense of the enormous of amount of time that's passed and how things get so distant they are just unknowable. Obscured by bureaucracy and/or lost in time. It makes you feel hopelessly small and kind of like an archaeologist peeling through clues and trying to recreate and discover what happened. It's just super satisfying to dig through. There's always some other lore thread to chase.It.
Can you do a full video on the death guard
As a necron player, I’m ecstatic about a new necron model since... ever?
Interesting as always
I'd imagine the Necron are going to play a pretty big role in the Psycic awakening as Cawl is searching for Necron pillars to close the great rift
Truth be told I think the story of the War in Heaven could have been that the Eldar and Necron while enemies realised that the bigger threat was the Warp, the Eldar Gods and Ctan and allied up to fuck them over. This is why they have discovered strange devices containing both Eldar and Necron combined
"That's the chaotic nature. of 40K"
Sounds like Heresy to me!
i love that utter chaos of 40k. its great so much fun. no other dork id rather be than a 40k dork.
10:08 "You know, I'm something of a scientist myself."
New video = life is not do bad after all. Thanks!!
Could you also make a video of the dwarves/ squads of warhammer 40k
As a necron player, I cant wait!!!
In the grim dark future, space mummy performs science upon your body.
That's the same sister we saw front and centre in the 9th edittion trailer right? and they were also fighting Necrons. IT MUST BE THE SAME GROUP.
Desperately want pariahs to be re-introduced, necrons need a deny the which ability or something for killteam/40k
I have a theory that is that the necrons createad humanity to counter psykers during the war on heaven but since they did not have the same level of knowlage as the old ones to create life the necrons had to wait longer for humanity to evolve.
Thanks LT. ;) Even more 40k ART!. What a day it is indeed. ;) LOL
I'm sure the mechanicus are gonna go nuts now more Necron templates to experiment on 🤔
