For those who are wondering....Fury Road DOES take place after Thunderdome. In the recent comic released on 7/8....it is revealed that Max rebuilt the Interceptor after salvaging her body from the explosion that took place in The Road Warrior, which explains why the trunk spoiler and one of the gas tanks are missing (blown up lol). In the comic, he finds the final piece, a Boss Cleveland 351 V8 engine (with the blower). However, the comic takes place prior to Fury Road, but hey, if Max can rebuild the Interceptor after its "death" in The Road Warrior, he can do it again.
I made a playlist consisted of this video only, and I have it on repeat, and I play this every night. That's how obsessed I am with this video. No regrets.
I love this car, if you notice on this version of the interceptor the two little trunk wings are not there. You can even see them missing in the intro to fury road. Just a small thing I noticed

On the original Interceptor used in Mad Max and the Road Warrior it was a prop, it's still a prop, and that car is in a museum in Florida, this version is real. This isn't even the only video of the car running where you can hear it. ffs.
***** In Fury road they could AFFORD to add superchargers, the original interceptor (Mad max 1 and 2) did NOT have a real blower due to not having money to buy real ones... Go watch behind the scenes of mad max fury road, the guy says "We actually have a working supercharger in the interceptor now, which was not possible in the other movies"
***** The cable on this is most likely housed in some protective piping (Due to it going into african deserts for filming) If you google off road vehicles you will see most of them have modifications to protect critical parts like throttle cables, a bit of sand in there and it could grind the wire away and snap which is baaaad.

+Noah Bloom Yes in this version it is but the BAre metal interceptor (The one Nux's friend drives) has a fake twin supercharger.
I think most people thought the blowers on nuxs friends were real but in reality how are you going to twin super charge a v8
