The water pump is a very common issue it could be the seals where the water pump meets other components in the car when you have a leak and you put in a new pump it can smoke it

Nice work! I watch the overlanding stuff, too, and enjoy their walk-arounds. I'm working on a walk-around video to include in one of my playlists. I will also shoot a bunch of "shorts" about the individual sections. I've already done a "Performance Mods" video, but it's not short. I gotta work on brevity. HAHA!

I got the R model Helix lights for my 2016 GTI S. It drives me a little crazy that the chrome doesn't line up with the chrome on grille. I should have considered that. Although, maybe it's possible to change the positions of the red and chrome stripes on the grille. They look like they are similarly shaped.
you can probably just buy a LP grill off like ebay or something for cheap. can probably get it without a red stripe and just get a R grill.

I’m on a cobb stage 1 tune and I occasionally peak at 25psi of boost. I have a forge BOV with the blue spring in it. I’ve had no problems so far but I’m still wondering if it’s bad, should I fix this?
Nice vid Lucas. I wished I hopped on board for the eds rep earlier. Cause they discontinued now. Now Im stuck with shitty halogens might buy the osrams full led headlight for the mk7.
My mods so far:
26mm rear sway bar
Dog bone mount
Solowerk s1 coilovers
Baluga racing cat back exhaust
Rear wiper delete
OEM short shifter.
Hoping to get downpipe next week.
Helix is still an option for a headlight upgrade.

I think most places phased out the MK7 style ones. It’s all MK7.5 style for the MK7 body

Its small af lol but you can get a racing water pump from bartek for mqb platform
