Hi, I"ve used theese chargers several years now -- and they are great. One thing I will comment on your video; 1.connect the + 2.connect the ÷ Then you connect to the AC ! (revers for disconnecting...)
Right! Interesting. So if I use a permanent connection to the battery (Eyelet). I am required to first connect the connector and then after that connect the CTEK to an AC power source? [By the way I did not understand why it comes without a fuse and only the Indicator comes with a fuse]. Thx
I'm having a Ctek MXS 7.0. It is really good to have a modern battery charger for Giulia. The deatler told me I can connect the charger both in front or rear, directly to the battery. I usually connect directly to the battery, it works well. I pull down the rear window a bit, so the power cord comes in via the rear window ....
the cables look kind of short from + and- ,, i dont drive daily too...i love youre helpfull video's keep on making them too help us out,, greetings from holland ;)
Nothing it’s fine to do so, just recommend doing it in the front. You have an IBS module in the rear and there’s always a risk when jumping or charging direct to the battery.
@@alfamods2.0T thanks for your answer. What if the car drains its battery unusally fast. What are the most common problems and solutions? The trickle charger used 2kw in a week. And after each journey it starts charging from the bottom.
@@ffblegend yeah it’s fine to do that. I’m doing a video on the hood soon just had to fix mine one side wouldn’t open for anything try using the lever with two fingers at the upper top of the interior lever and pull up firmly this worked for me

@@alfamods2.0T I ordered this CTEK devices you recommended. My battery went dead, it I was able to jump it tonight from the trunk. The CTEK device shows up tomorrow morning. Do you think I should use it and select “recondition” or even charge the battery at all if the car still starts?
I got this yesterday for my giulia, hooked up to the front terminals in engine bay and left overnight, didn’t move from 3 - is this normal it does it need longer? Left for 10 hours roughly
Just put it back on now and in 1 hour it’s gone to 4. I’ll leave for a few hours and see how we go. The original Giulia batteries aren’t AMG ones are they?
@@ffblegend you can charge from both places front and rear. Just be super careful in the rear because your whole IBS system is on top of the battery and you don’t want to short anything

I’m loving the charger so far it’s been a great investment I bet the 7.0 is awesome as well.
Do you have a link to the 7.0 model?

I have the same charger! (From Amazon, too!) Works great keeping our Giulia battery topped up!👍
How often do you use it
I need one of these!!! Thaanks Bro!
I defiantly recommend bro it’s worth it
Hi there. Thanks for the useful channel. What happens if you charge the battery directly in the back.

No that’s to long. Your battery may have some issues. I would go get it tested. It shouldn’t stay at 3

need to go to the battery not to the jumper plug

Why don’t you connect it directly to the battery as the manual says? That way the cables wouldn’t be so tight in the engine

@@martinewen- he’s talking about the connectors not the clamps. The clamps should be connected directly to the battery. JAHU
I'm thinking about trickle charging my Giulia with a small solar panel.. anyone here done this?
