Oh another question, i have the V grill light installed which connects to the fuse box and a professionally installed stereo system. Do you think this would ever cause any issues or know anyone who has had issues installing aftermarket things?
The V grill won’t pull enough power to cause problems unless it stays on all night or something. I have seen issues with the stereo systems if it’s pulling huge power. The car without adding stuff already has well know battery problems. Depends how it’s set up and how much watts is the amp/ subs set up is. V lights no problem.

At this point I know of 5 over 100k in the us. Driving it a lot means less issues than a parked one. I really do recommend getting a leaser mile one. Like 40k. Your best bet is to get one with factory warranty like a 2019. Right before it runs out get mopar max care for a few thousand extra then your covered if anything happens. I’m at 60k now I have never been left stranded or not starting
I have a 2018 and love it. Been reliable so far, just normal maintenance items like oil and brakes. (Either I have a heavy brake foot or it just loves to burn through them) regardless no issues here. I think part of the reason there aren't many high mile alfas is there aren't many to begin with 😅 on top of them being relatively new to the US market. The Giulia is very much a buy now and we'll know in 10 years how they held up car at the moment
@unuesokami8736 depends if you really need the AWD or not? It's a little bit quicker 0-60 having AWD but the extra weight means worse MPG & it's more to go wrong. In my opinion you don't need the AWD it's not like you'll be taking it off road 😂
Random question. Can you use eco mode until you run out of gas completely? When i put it in eco mode i feel like it does not give me the correct gas reading i mean I literally ran out of gas on the freeway when the car said i still had fuel. Dealer replaced fuel pump as well as something else but i still feel like it’ll happen again because of how slow my miles drop while in eco mode
Yeah one thing I’ve learned 100% don’t trust your estimated mileage this is not an isolated problem anyone you get has a very inaccurate estimated mileage. As soon as you get the low gas light you should be like very close to a gas station and when it turns red your about to be out. lesson over all don’t go below 2 bars of fuel on the gauge cluster.
@@alfamods2.0T I remember having about 200 miles left on eco mode and i had filled up and i filled up 14.3 gallons when the giulia carries 15.3 I believe so i was pretty sure i was gonna run out of gas again. @@shlumpgod I wouldn’t say lemon but google Giulia forums and running out of gas there is a ton of stories of this happening to people. @@alfamods2.0T i will look into that right after its determined that there is no electrical issues maybe pinched or cut wires thanks for the advice I have looked into it as well its four bolts to replace it not too bad
I would say no, unless your very confident in fixing things your self. The car is reliable but higher mileage more risk. Out of warranty repairs are crazy expensive. My suggestion is always getting one that has an ending factory warranty, get mopar maxcare and enjoy. So like a 2019 up. If your good at doing work your self and use multiecuscan software then why not 2017, but even then 2018 up is better they replaced lots of little things like redesigned coolant lines.
@@bert3566 You want to get a 2020+ model year. 2020 they fixed almost all of the issues and they are very reliable now. Pre 2020 your going to have issues....

I would personally never never buy these new, the dealers barely can sell them with 10k off. These cars simply don’t hold value even the QV has gotten to the point where you can get one with 30k miles for 35k here in ATX. Best bet is 2 years old with a mopar max care I’m still under warranty. It’s not even about the money, there is just not world where I would spend 40k on a new 2.0T vs spending 40ish on a used QV. I do all my own work all the intervals for maintenance are done around half of what Alfa suggests and I’ve still barely spent anything on maintenance the 2.0T is very inexpensive to maintain compared to the QV.

Looking at a 2020 Stelvio. What’s better rwd or awd?
I would suggest AWD it’s very nice to have that extra help in all weather conditions. I have no regrets getting the Q4.
Do 2020 have these problems?
The first time it happened i used eco mode all day and had 4 bars left i think. On my dash i get 23mpg and i drive normally lol maybe i have a lemon ?!
@@shlumpgod I wouldn’t say lemon but google Giulia forums and running out of gas there is a ton of stories of this happening to people. It’s really hard to trust the estimated mileage mine for example be at 150 in A and after a few miles of driving in N I’ll drop it to 70 or so. I am tuned with intake exhaust so my mpg over all are better than factory I average 35-36 on the highway at 70mph ish.
@@alfamods2.0Thow in the hell are you getting 36 mpg??!!!!????
@@NERDLYFE-es9ef lol 36 if I’m trying my best to get the best number for testing. I’m tuned and that plays a big part in that and only going 70mph highway. My daily average is like 24 city/ highway driving
Having issues with 2018 Alfa romeo stelvio wont start keeps saying to put the car in park before starting and of course the shifter has no lights at all tested the battery they said it was good any suggestions
I’m assuming it’s an electrical problem so maybe check out that even if the battery is all good.
@@knutz8401 its my brothers car i looked at the battery its an original one over five years old I have a mechanic coming to look at it soon hopefully he finds the issue obd II scanner won't even link to the car no communication
@@jonuzmyftari299 I wish I could help bro 😅 I’m on this video because I’m looking at getting a Giulia but best of luck to you.
I’ve seen this before on shifters that got small amounts of water in them my next video is on replacing the shifter with the new 2020 one. You can tell how sensitive the exposed wires are. You might need to replace the shifter.
@@alfamods2.0T i will look into that right after its determined that there is no electrical issues maybe pinched or cut wires thanks for the advice I have looked into it as well its four bolts to replace it not too bad
The question is: Macan or Stelvio?
I want to say Stelvio for the sake of reliability, probably. DCT vs known reliable ZF torque converter transmission.
I found one on Facebook 2017 guilia 102k miles for 14k what do you think
I would say no, unless your very confident in fixing things your self. The car is reliable but higher mileage more risk. Out of warranty repairs are crazy expensive. My suggestion is always getting one that has an ending factory warranty, get mopar maxcare and enjoy. So like a 2019 up. If your good at doing work your self and use multiecuscan software then why not 2017, but even then 2018 up is better they replaced lots of little things like redesigned coolant lines.
@@alfamods2.0TWould you recommend getting a 2018/2019 with around 60k miles but not in warranty anymore?
I’m planning to buy one, don’t cheap out, look into “Avis Car sales” “hertz car sales” “echo park dealership”
There’s a 2018 with 47k miles on cars and bids. I’d love an owners take on this
@@bert3566 You want to get a 2020+ model year. 2020 they fixed almost all of the issues and they are very reliable now. Pre 2020 your going to have issues....
Bro, you need to go on a carnivore diet NOW. Also start doing cold plunge and sauna. It will help your skin.
Don’t want to go into details but I have ezema, that didn’t show up until I had severe liver issues. Thank you though.
I literally only eat meats though very high protein diet
Alpha Romeo is like the Dodge of Europe.
Alfa is owned by the same company as dodge
Alfa Romeo, not Alpha.
If you can't afford to buy a new Alfa Romeo. You shouldn't be buying an Alfa Romeo. They are expensive to maintain.
Congratulations about wedding!!! Wish u happy marriage!!
Thank you so much! Everyone has been so supportive you all are like my second family! Wishing you the best
@@alfamods2.0T God bless
Can you take it to a dodge dealer for warranty work?
Not really it’s rare for maybe something basic I’ve seen it before but rare
How much does the insurance cost monthly?
I believe it’s about 110 full coverage monthly with glass coverage
@@alfamods2.0T thanks
@@alfamods2.0T I'm seeing some estimates closer to $180, so it just depends
Clean your boot one day
One day 😂 yes I will get a detail soon enough.
Lol
I bought 2 Alfa's and both have the same problem with bumper... they were new so I know it's not shade practice just poor body kit build from Alfa 💯🫡🫶
Woah saving lives 🤌🏼 Literally taking notes for when I go test drive mine! Thank you
I appreciate the comment! Just want everyone to have a good experience with this car, it’s a blast to own and drive.
I'm also looking into a 2019 stevlio on Wednesday, hopefully it goes well
