Thanks for the comment. The car/battery has been working really well for while now, but I do think that the IBS is possibly not allowing enough charge to come through from the alternator.
It worth to put the battery on charger sometimes. This is what the Service advised to me as I had problems with the battery earlier and it looks like it helps. The guy from the service also have Giulia and he also put the car on charger sometimes....
Thanks for the comment. I agree about occasional giving the batteries a boost with a charger/tender. I don’t want to tempt fate, but it has been working really well for a while now!
Very helpful updates thanks. I also got a 95 AGM replacement since my Giulia was having the identical problems that yours was previously, but the problem persisted with the new battery. I guess I'll go get those O-rings replaced. Were you able to do it yourself? If not, what dod the labor costs look like for that bit of work?
I’m sorry you are having issues. Are you losing coolant from the lower coolant reservoir? My car still had a warranty, so it was covered by that. I think the cost would have been around £325’ish. I haven’t looked into what is involved in the work, but the parts cost is very small.
Its a 12v battery so shouldn't be much higher than 12 v. When engine on, the alternator should provide over 13v. Typically 13.8v. But depends on the alternator fitted and what output the alternator is set to. By the looks to it that alternator is set a little low but working. What is the voltage of the alternator at 1500rpm as this is the normal driving revs of the engine. I would expect the voltage to be higher than 13.2 v so all is good
Thanks for the reply. The car/battery has been working fine through the winter (although we have had a mild winter so far). The battery voltage has been fine, it’s just a little low compared to other cars I own, and have owned in the past.
I read there is something with the IBS wrong on this car, not charging the battery fully. Thanks for the video!

As you say, I think the IBS seems to be set a little low, and the battery would probably like a bit more charge from the alternator.
My battery on my alpha is around 13.2 -13.5 when idling
That's not the car to have short/school runs with.
Thanks for the comment.
You are not wrong there. Fortunately the school runs are now over.
