Great tutorial! If you do decide to use your own shells, be sure to clean them really well with a wire brush, then let them sit in a 10% bleach solution for at least 24 hours, rinse, the dry in the sun. It’s nice to have the option of craft-ready shells, but if you’re in an area where you can get the shells for free, I love the full DIY experience!
I love them all, and I have been doing it too...thanks about the gild. I use metallic paint and looks lovely, yet I'll try the guild and gold leaf it's something I'll try. Thank you so much. ❤️❤️❤️
I love your tutorial... I just got back from Arizona and we had driven to Moro Bay California... It was beautiful and I had visited a Sea Shell Shop that's in Moro Bay... Beautiful place .! The whole area is beautiful... Thank you for sharing you technic of decorating the shell's... First time watching you...
Thanks so much for your tutorials. This is something I am interested in doing. I also want to make these and use my Mother's old vintage jewelry to decorate them as Keepsakes for my family. ❤️
Hi Heidi, just come across you - great tutorial, I shall be back. I paint and fill oyster shells but never decoupaged before hence searching and coming across yourself. I love oysters so always take home the shells from restaurants, to clean I just bung in the dishwasher, it works a treat. I'll definitely be following you from now on. Best wishes. Helen UK
Beautiful! I think I want to make one for my mom's birthday & put little paper candy cups with chocolate carmels & wrap all with celophane wrap & bow! So pretty!🎁
I like them both ..to me it depends on shape and size of the shells..thinking of adding pearls for “feet” to some of the shells and maybe some small pearls or a tiny shell inside the shell depending on the pattern of the napkin. Love you show.
