One of the best sounding rock records in Heavy metal / rock history. That drum sound still kills 30 years later. Feel the air in that kick. That's how a kick drum should sound! And Vince never sounded better. I can't even listen to Dr, Feelgood, but this.... I can always come back to this record.

This is neither hard-rock nor heavy metal but absolute pop music of the highest calibre, the greatest song David Bowie never wrote. Mr Nikki SIXX is one of the most fascinating rock stars, I remember him sayin' to the audience "don't forget we're Motley Crue and you're not you sons of bitches" at the end of the show, it was in Clermont-Ferrand, maison des sports, march 1986, opening band was Paganini, I was lucky enough to get insulted by Sixx, Neil and Lee, I was 19 years old.

And this is a fact that people forget...not really too long before this was released, less than 10 years, this guitar sound wasn't even a thing Just the gain and distortion sound of these guitars blew me away at the time.

Well it is the final half minute without the main vocal of Vic that blows my mind. If u notice group singing fading away while background riffs increasing guitar tension and shifting. When Vic stops singing only the full background group vocal dominates while its fading, the guitar in the back starts to go wild and the bass suddenly changes pitch like none previous during song.

@@michaelm1546 this is 1983, don't know where you were that year but Quiet Riot were on top of the billboard, definitely not Slade, so I did get the band right. Don't get me wrong, I love the original by Slade that came out in 1973, unfortunately for them it wasn't big especially in America. Quiet Riot rocked it up and at the time they made rock n roll history ,so I am very fond of the song because of what it accomplished in 83, it brings me great memories of that year. QR took this great song to the next level just like Jimi Hendrix did All Along The Watchtower. People think of Jimi's version not Bob Dylan's.

They tried to save that girl from being turned out but they were too late. The little boy did the right thing by contacting the only people he knew that might be able to save her, the Crue. They were busy at the time, standing around with their arms crossed, being dressed by geishas as they prepared for what must have been an important photo shoot, but when the little boy whispered into Nikki's ear, he knew the shoot would have to be rescheduled. If only the Crue had arrived at the brothel sooner...

I grew up with guitars all around our home and never once did I learn how to play until I turned 40 years old and then now tearing up. But just imagine if I would’ve started as a child? My father builds electric guitars and we’ve always had guitars around the house and a music room with a drum set keyboard base Marshall stacks, I learned the drums pretty good but I would’ve rather played guitar.

Loved the album back when I was an 11yr old kid. First album I ever bought. Every one of those four guys were gods of music to me! And after watching "the dirt", and reading Nikkis "heroin diaries", my only thought is: how in the hell are they all still alive??? Love ya Crue!
